Bitcoin-is-a-mirage, I took you off ignore because I thought I was being uncharitable to you. Though apparently I was justified. I am delighted bitcoin is at $475! A year ago it was hovering at little more than $100. Soon it is going to explode again, it was evident a year ago and - with all the amazing developments that have occurred in the past several months - it is more evident today. Cut loose your state-backed fiat and buy in before it is too late.

Welcome again to my ignore (for the last time)

They're going to steal my coins that are on a machine running an open source OS, open source wallet, that doesn't have wifi?

OK, how... and then... why?

And even if they did. Cryptocurrency is just information. We are building a network here that makes this information available without even having money. Even though I often don't see it, now I see a glimpse of the future, without money. Oh - better spend less time with people who introduced Bitcoin to me, but themselves have been on the next level for long already...

Personally, it does NOT seem to be a good practice to separate yourself from the masses; however, from time to time (from what little I know of your internet persona) you do seem to have such verbal inclinations to attempt to separate yourself from the masses.. and surely that is your choice.

billionaire investor warren buffer stated that bitcoin is a mirage, and it is rat poision. are you smarter than warren buffer?

bitcoin is going nowhere but down, so abandon your false delusional dreams of becoming rich. there is no new money, 51% attack, too much supply, 3600 new coins every day, too many hacking, there is no hope left.

Warren BUFFET.

Shit, you can't even troll properly.

Dear BTC, please crash to USD 300 so i can buy back in.
Your Pal, OldBones

Seems pretty unlikely... you better cut your loose, and buy back at the current price (or at least in this price neighborhood).

Careful.  He (Ragnar/Fallling) is garnering your trust.  Once your defenses are down, he'll betray you in a dramatic true-believer-realizing-he's-been-duped about-face.

No new money! Nearly 1 million coins (half a billion Fed Washington's) have entered since the ATH.

51% attack! Thank god Hal Finney came along otherwise Satoshi would still be mining at 100%

3600 coins a day!  Imagine if there was 7200 coins a day.  Bitcoin wouldn't stand a chance... Oh wait.

Too many hacking!  That is my phrase for identifying the ignorant.

PS:  I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but it is fun every now and again.

I'd much prefer that to bitcoin_is_a_mirages approach, which is just plain boring.

I've read a proposition on another thread that some of these 'trolling' accounts may have the objective of influencing data mining software used to produce 'sentiment indicators'. Essentially they may be attempting to input 'garbage in' so that these indicators output 'garbage out'.

Barren Wuffet - often admits to mistakes and bad calls he has made .... later down the line, even in his yearly letter...making wrong calls (or not backing x) is not the be all and end all...  though the calls he does make and things he does back, tend to do pretty well..

(sometimes he is just plain pissing against the wind)

Haha. Has that happened before?  I know fonzie went the other way. It would require a rather big setback to make me think bitcoin will fail. I can't foresee any such setback other than the breaching of SHA256 or an unfixable flaw in the code - both of which seem ridiculously unlikely.
However, I don't think bitcoin will be the government-slayer I thought it was. I am even becoming concerned that it may turn into a tool of terrible oppression. I still love Madame Bitcoin but I suspect her of infidelity.

I always though that 'government slayer' or 'making banks obsolete' was a ridiculous claim... I really don't see how Bitcoin can make them obsolete within the next years or even decades. It may find its niche - we may not even know what that exactly is right now, but I'm more than excited to find out!

Architecture defines the political landscape... and therefore society, this is true if that is centralisation of money, communications, data or oil, water  etc.

(the less centralisation the better imo)
