Bitcoin's fundamental technology hasn't changed, but it doesn't matter anymore. The mobile payment market has changed radically in the last year. Consumers can now carry their wallet with them on their NFC enabled cell phones or even their wristwatches. Tell me again, what incentive will they ever have to convert -- for a fee, no less -- to a volatile digital token which can be easily stolen or lost if they're not a network security subject matter expert?
But.. but... Chuckee! The dollar is doomed! Once it crashes, everyone will buy bitcoins to protects their wealth!lmao. First of all, there is no economic meltdown looming. The US government can write itself IOUs for decades to come. If you're waiting for this to happen, you're going to become the skeleton guy sitting at his keyboard.
Second, when it does eventually happen, people will turn to the same assets that they have for thousands of years: precious metals. They don't want digital tokens that have no intrinsic value outside of a computer.
But keep holding, and telling yourselves that your beanie baby coins are going to be in huge demand again someday. Suckers are born every minute, and we need you all.
