Seems to dump every time I take a dump. I'll try holding it for a week and see what happens.

No don't say a dump is coming. Only post wonderful things about bitcoin in this thread, or it's "off topic".

So without further adieu, here's my latest estimate of bitcoin price forecast, based on my longterm trend line. Thoughts?

2014: $450
2015: $2600
2016: $12,000
2017: $57,900
2018: $236,984
2019: $1 million

I'd expect >$10k before the end of 2015 and >$100k before the end of 2017.

Some serious optimism in here.

I don't think people have quite the correct perspective.

Bitcoin shouldn't replace fiat, it should just build a parallel economy, that does things fiat never could.

This should build over time.

I don't think the internet had a black swan event, it just became more and more central in our lives.

And the companies involved with it became how you made your fortunes.

I think it's all about the start ups, and though some of us have made fortunes on the price appreciating, but the guys making all the money IMO are exchange owners, bitpay and other middle men, and miners who managed to stay ahead of the curve and HODL.

Bitcoin is the future but I don't think it's so important that its price keeps increasing so much. I just want to see it used more every day.

($1m a BTC would be beautiful though, my god beer is on me for life.)

even if bitcoin is replaced one day by something else, which is about as likely as convincing everyone in this thread to buy all the doge up to 0.01BTC, it will always hold value, and at that point it's likely its value is dominated in this new crypto, money is going digital, you better believe it.

And just like that, we are back to the prices before the news of paypal dropped.   I am going to pick up some more coins under $400.   I cannot resist.  I can't see it staying below that mark for a very long time.   Prices are definitely not very logical.

Ok, I'm done.
Just sold all 12 shitcoins except monero and 1000 ripple because I don't know how to sell that shit (they are still shitcoins).
I'm all into bitcoin. Fuck it, I'm drunk and capitulated.
Fuck this shit. From now on I'm only into bitcoin, the rest can go to hell.
I'm sorry for the strong language.

Maybe it is time to pray everyone.  Cheesy  I seriously was praying that if there was anyone purposefully manipulating Bitcoin that they would stop.  Perhaps I should now pray that they just manipulate it the other direction?  I think that will be my prayer now!

I have a noble cause for wanting the price to go up.  I am leaving for a mission trip in six weeks and we could use some more funds for a few things we want to do (medical camps, gifts for the elderly homes etc. . .)  Although God can provide in ways other than pumping up the Bitcoin price, it would certainly be an easy way to get the much needed funds at this point. You can sell ripple on justcoin for example. Monero on Poloniex. On both exchanges it's very easy to register and trade. That reminds me that I still have some 5000 ripples, too.

I too have a noble cause... I want a Ferrari and a helicopter, or do you want me to take the bus everyday like now? No way! So, oh Mercury the almighty, indicate me the direction and I will follow it and sacrifice 10 puffy lambs in your blessed name. Amen.
