Also, if they feel a need to adjust it at this late hour, what will the effect of it being "After the pilot period the CRR will be immutably set" will this not be detrimental?

As for me, their decision about ICO terms are right. But at first it was a little hard for understanding for me.

I am waiting for the great ico,any information about the cap and date?
The announced date is the 12th June, next Monday, and I hope they'll be smart enough not to put a cap on it

Biggest ETH address held by a (non-DAO) ethereum token project is Golem's 414k ETH: https://etherscan.io/accounts/2Here are the only ethereum tokens which are at an ETH profit since crowdsale: BAT: +628% ETH -> 154k ETH cap -> 66% sold GNT: +96% ETH -> 820k ETH cap -> 82% sold -> poloniex GNO: +66% ETH -> 250k ETH cap -> 4% sold -> poloniex DGD: +33% ETH -> 465k ETH cap -> 85% sold SWT: +22% ETH -> cap was not hit -> 84% sold RLC: +9% ETH -> 174k ETH + 2.7k BTC cap -> 69% sold All other ethereum tokens are at an ETH loss since crowdsale (most at double-digit % ETH loss). For the people saying "just invest your fiat": you would have been better off storing your $ on the ethereum chain in the form of ETH in all other cases besides these 6 profitable tokens. https://blog.bancor.network/bancor-network-token-bnt-contribution-token-creation-terms-48cc85a638121) Will there be a visible, hard security cap in the first hour? All founders and team members will have a 3 year vesting schedule with a 6 month cliff.
2) Is there *vesting* for advisors, early contributors, Long-term Foundation budget (20% of supply), or Community grant/partnerships/bounties (20% of supply) ?

For the people saying "just invest your fiat": you would have been better off storing your $ on the ethereum chain in the form of ETH in all other cases besides these 6 profitable tokens. This is not surprising considering ETH returned >3000% YTD. I just hope the Bancor team has a reasonable (not too greedy) cap in mind to give early investors an advantage, as should be imo.

How many BNT are there in total?
I think the BAT is unlimited. there can be unlimited bancor but the price increases with every added bnt... have you grasp the concept? Read the whitepaper and faq throughly Because it get created and destroyed according to demand And when created will increase the value, and when get destroyed descrease the value. Read the white paper

I emailed Bitcoin Suisse to refund me all my ETH. I'm sure bancor can foot the bill for this.

don't know what you guys want here. If you can devise an ICO method that keeps the marketcap reasonable, while at the same time preventing a small group from cornering the market on day one, let's hear it. All I see is bitching and moaning.
Use the pre-ICO with BTC-suisse to let the small fish and everyone else who doesn't want to gamble get in. There, you can mostly cap the investment per customer (ID verification). The ones who want to invest whale-amounts or think they can make it and want to avoid the fee/identification can try their luck in the "open" ICO with a reasonable cap. Most people don't want to have to register ID & pay fees to middle men to invest in crypto. That's a huge part of the point of crypto.

This is not surprising considering ETH returned >3000% YTD. We could also call ETH down double digits compared to Stratis. So you would have been better off storing your ETH money in Stratis. Just because ETH is up a lot doesnt mean that the rest is bad. Being up 10-20 times is usually considered pretty good for any investment even if others are up even more.

Bancor ICO Starting from June 10th- The Participation Terms. The Bancor Protocol Crowdsale by Bprotocol Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization, has been announced to start by June 10. The ICO has already started to gain attention since Bancor protocol is a standard for a new generation of the cryptocurrencies called the Smart Tokens. With this protocol, the Bprotocol foundation aims to establish a global standard for the intrinsically tradeable currencies. Being a contributor in this protocol through the upcoming ICO, users will be generating BNT, the first smart token to be used using the Bancor protocol, founding a Bancor network. The smart tokens provide the mechanism for auto price discovery and continuous liquidity. These tokens enable any investor to instantly buy or liquidate tokens in exchange for any of its reserve tokens, directly via smart token’s contract, at a continuously gauged price & as per the formula that balances buying and selling volumes. MoreNot June 10. June 12.

If bancor is reading this: Just make it no cap for 15 minutes. Otherwise many will pull out.

I was waiting for this ICO with excitement, but know have mixed feelings. 2.5$ for a token is pretty high and in 1 hour millions ETH could be transferred.
I have to rethink if I should participate in ICO.
Keep in mind that the value of 1 token doesn't really matter, since you can just as easily purchase half a BNT or 0.0003 of a BNT.

What I don't understand well is the price value of BNT when post ICO.
Right now, 1 BNT looks like it will be around $2.50 USD possibly closet to 3.00USD if ETH keep going up.
The part I don't understand is that if market cap reaches 500 million at ICO, hypothetically, then this will devalue my BNT? So 1 BNT could be worth a lot less than 2.50 USD after ICO due to more investors pumping more money? Someone explain this to me.
