Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I have my cash!  This whole ordeal is finally over for me.  So glad to put this mess behind me.  Thanks to AudenX for keeping me updated with the information he was able to acquire regarding any progress.

I have to say, I really liked bitfloor's model of paying market providers, and charging market takers. I really wish some reliable exchange would offer something similar.

Yes.  I agree.

FYI, my smaller 3 digit deposit has not been sent yet.  I guess they were going to do those last?  I will update if and when I see it.

Those will be dealt with next week:

Users with account balances under 3,000 USD are urged to remain patient as IAFCU must check each persion individually. IAFCU has informed us that they have hired more staff and obtained additional software to process users. Their initial estimates for these accounts is the week of August 5th.

Bitfloor customers who don't have Internet Archive Federal Credit Union accounts haven't gotten refunds of their Bitfloor account balances, if the lack of reports of such is any indication.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Confirmed by another user (friend of mine was using Bitfloor, I'm trying to keep him in the loop)

Im finally sorted my issues with Bitfloor and LocalTill (to an extent). I have $1550 in bitfloor and due to it being below 3000 it is being processed non-IAFCU. Says exactly what Infested quoted above.

"Your refund information is under review. Once reviewed, your refund will be sent to you electronically."

What does the GIF have to do with anything?

bitfloor.com promised to finish the non-IAFCU accounts be the end of the week of August 5th, the GIF was a countdown until the end of that business week.

They haven't even started with those accounts though.

Not a single person reported their account being done, and there are about 3 reports that their account's have not been done.

But that could just be very bad luck.

It is conceivable that some people, with and without IAFCU accounts, just don't post here even if they are lurking.
It is also possible that they are in the process of resolving the accounts in question but the money has not been transferred yet.
When I receive my money, I will post here and then unsubscribe.

I'm convinced that nobody who is non-IAFCU has received their refund and it can be statistically backed up.

I agree. Im only here for the sole fact that i still have yet to receive my bitfloor refund. I am non-IAFCU. I will NEVER again invest in a scheme like this, being bitcoin. If many of you havent realized, it is a hub for people to play you over. Read this, maybe this would bring Romans head out of the sand.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/jordanmaglich/2013/08/07/court-green-lights-bitcoin-lawsuit-rules-investments-constitute-securities/

All our money being put in is investments in a faux currency. If at any time someone said "Hey, im closing" or "This is worth nothing", then the people who are collecting these investments would be rich and all the investors would be the poorer. Its no different than real currency/investments. And the judge in the case above agreed.

Sorry, but everything you said applies equally to US dollars. The issue here is not with bitcoins, it is with trusting someone else to store your money. Keep your bitcoins on your own wallets, and you'll be fine.
