Hi Burnin

Any updates today? sleeping on the production floor? Listening to the sweet humm and ticks of avalon chips being stamped? :-)

Are the first boards coming off the assembly line stable / happy?

Update:
Production is now in full swing.
There were some problems that held us back on the first 2 days but now everything is sorted.
I tested two boards over night, they were stable, even with overclocking.
Until delivery cgminer and the firmware will contain everything needed.
Even though the customers from batch 1 might have to perform a firmware update right after unboxing.
Instructions for assembly and firmware updating will be provided next week.

I am still terribly busy organizing everything, its like whack a mole, one problem/request solved another 2 pop up.
But there's light at the end of the tunnel.
I can currently only process a few customer service requests per day, so be patient.

Thanks for the update!

Where can i send the pizza?
Awesome idea to be honest : ]!
I would be freaking happy if people send me one for my hard work.

So more miners, more coins available = price goes up?
I thought it was the immediate opposite.
More miners, more chips for sale and of course, interest to purchase does not increase when availability increases.
Or please tell me if im missing something.

The amount of coins mined is independent of the number of miners/total hashing power.

A rising bitcoin price is only good when you got your investment already back in. If you dont get the amount of bitcoins back in that you paid you will make a loss. Otherwise you would have made more by simply buying and keeping bitcoins.
Thats why its important that yifu ships the chips and dont artificially holds them back only because another product has problems.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I don't think they are purpousefuly delaying chips. I think it's just their incompetence that has been shown time and time again.

Difficulty follows price, not the other way round.

From what we know burnin receives nothing at all from Avalon directly.

There are a few public group buys, and of those only zefir has received and forwarded his first batch to burnin. The other batches haven’t even shipped yet.

Of course there is always the possibility that somebody ordered a whole batch of 10k chips for himself, received them and shipped them to burnin for a "private run".

(correct me if I got something wrong)

Sorry, I'm afraid I didn't explained myself right....

I'm asking about the shipping of the chips that all of the small group buyers did to Avalon to send it to Burnin to assembly them.

I have chips from batch 1 and 2 of zefir and batch 5 from Sebastianjuju.... Just asking the shipping status right now   Huh

Perhaps, but what better than delaying 1st gen chips so that dissatisfied miners want/need 2nd gen chips. Although you can be 100% sure I won't be buying Avalon chips in the future.
