Because Martin is IRL at the moment,
I'll do some Support Wink

1.
Is it possible to make custom design? for those who ordered hundred chips, and do not want tons of boards with 10 chips on each

yes we need a higher density solution, I'm looking at this design as well

He wrote to me, that if there exists a demand  of bigger board with more chips on it, he would maybe offer them.
But at the moment that is all up in the air.

2.
I think OP said that he will allow orders once he has all the info he needs and he knows exactly the price.

The 80Eur is already calculated estimate, but since there is a degree of uncertainty involved with not having the data on the Chips i can't commit to it yet.

I will be away over this weekend, so don't expect anything from me.

OP Updated with email address.

I'm excited about this project and have fingers crossed to receive these modules before my birthday at the end of July.

I'll do my very best!

I'm in for 4 boards. I will send and email to you with my private key signed message when I transfer funds to the group buy escrow. Please let me know if it is ok to personaly pick up boards when finished as I should not be such a long drive and I'm in D often anyway. Thanks!
Yes, there will be the opportunity to personally pick up the board(s).

With kind regards,
Jan (alias newfrozzen)

EDIT:
PS:
Burnin is based in Germany -> HAMBURG

Hi!

I would come by and pick some up, however how fast can we build these? That really decides how much I would sink into the project. If it takes until august, I say: F that, i take two. If you get them ready for me me end of June beginning of July, I start collecting money from family and friends Wink

So let me see if I understand, 1 Module == 10 chips, right? 1 module = ~2.8GH/s and will cost 80 euro to assemble?

10 chips = 1 module = 80 EURO
20 chips = 2 modules = 160 EURO
30 chips = 3 modules = 240 EURO

100 chips = 10 modules = 800 EURO

1,000 chips = 100 modules = 8,000 EURO

10,000 chips = 1,000 modules = 80,000 EURO
30,000 chips = 3,000 modules = 160,000 EURO

We've had 3 batchs of 10k chips orders via Zefir to date.

These are obvious facts - what is there to be right or wrong ? Did you want to convey something by building that table ?

Dabs,

I suggest you to design and build PCB and sell it for free what about it? I will be sure to state this in your tread so everybody knows that you are super cool. There is nothing wrong in Burnins approach. He deserves for sure to make a bug for his efforts. Who does not like it is free to do whatever he wants with his chips after all

Please help the Led Boy aka Bicknellski to make us a nice Christmas led tree and pay WASP membership fee here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=643999.msg7191563#msg7191563
And remember Bicknellski is not collecting money from community;D

I did not take him dumb enough to imply this, but if he indeed wanted to mean this, that would be a super troll. This figure includes raw material, expertise, labor and time. Achieve this for 1 board from scratch before opening you mouth. Some people ...

I have an order myself. I stated facts and figures, I did not imply anything.

I manufacture clothes. I sell them for profit too. I have employees to pay salaries. I have other costs as well (raw materials, labor, etc). I was just stating what is already provided, I just made it all into one table. I want understand what is going on, and how much are we paying.

I did not ask for margins or anything. I understand that he has to put a little on top, that is fine.

Again, I have an order myself, so it is in my best interest for Burnin to succeed.

Will you accept chips from ragingazn628's group buy also? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.0

I'm trying to figure out my options with the chips I'm going to order through him.

Q:
Can I fly over to pick up boards and pay them on site ?

I’m also interested in this, but I’d drive instead of fly there.

To recap, sending you an order via email now is pointless because orders aren’t open yet, right? You may want to clarify that in the OP.

I have the same question.can we send you emails now or just wait till you open ?

You should read his post again.

From his FAQ:
>
>Q: Can I order now to have a "good" place in the order cue?
>A: No, you can't, ordering will start with announcement of the definitive price.
