Big problems here with Chrome and Safari on Mac OS X.

As posted earlier its clear that Wordpress is caching pages it shouldn't.  I assume people who got through ok were lucky, and presumably in the minority!

So what now? Can some of us go to sleep and watch the news tomorrow? I wouldn't like to stay up all night in case you fixed it or announce that the shop reopens tomorrow 6AM or something. A short update would be really appreciated Smiley

Everyone else wait and we can coordinate who gets to take a turn ordering.

No that would be totally unfair. Restart the whole thing.

Its totally buggy and you cannot be even sure to order the things you want.
Due the time you clicked on buy, other people could lay things into your cart.

canceling everything is not so easy ! because i paid already for my order via paypal Cheesy

Are you sure you paid your own assembly?  Roll Eyes

Cheesy in my account is only one order visible, and it is paid, the cart was wrong (need 20, and on checkout only 19 are in the cart....
but 19 with a good queue-number sounds better then 20 with a bad queue-number Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

GET IN - Smart Ticket Protocol - Live in market!

I'd recommend restarting the whole process and to alleviate the load you should have all people in zefirs batch one order in a 12-24 hour window (other chip supplier dates would also be factored in). Then batch 2 guys order in the next 12-24 hour order window and so on. This would prevent everyone from rushing to checkout and also not screw over those that order the Avalon chips earlier than the rest. For those that would try to cheat the system and order in the wrong time frame would then go to the back of the line.

Well that was hardly worth waking up at 4.30am for...same issues as everyone else.

Changing the site so we can create an account first & then go shopping might eliminate the shared cart issue??

^ THAT!

Bring the site back up, let us register but not checkout.  Then go for Take 2!

Burnin, please give us the new launch date & time.
I suggest you take your time and give it at least 24 hours.

I did try to do this but as it is now I think we have to complete an order to register..I could only see a "log in" option, no "register" so perhaps he'll need to change this first?

Registration is on the checkout page. You hit a checkmark and create a password.

thx.  did this work for you btw?

Yeah but if you do it the other way around, and make the shop and checkout cart part of the "members" section.  Then that would almost certainly stop the shared cart problem.

On a positive note, the server seemed to cope with the load quite well. Should be great once the cart thing etc is sorted - site looks great btw burnin. I guess it's easier to be cheerful about these things if you didn't have to wake up dead early for this. I feel for those of you in different timezones!

So, I was able to put the first of 2 orders. Should I pay it? Or should I wait for relaunch? I can`t enter the shop again. Username & password required...

Is this problem region specific? It could be the CDN doing funky things.
I love caching and hate it at the same time.

With great video cards comes great power consumption.

Their are issues with the server, also you can see others adding orders when you check out, something is improperly configured, when I added my order and checked out, their where 13 orders in the cart none of them where mine.. I suggest that you disable it and do a bit more testing if you need help im an expert on nginx, wordpress etc..
