In the end its your decision burnin, but I think

all orders should be canceled.

People with order confirmations should not pay! Refunds for already paid orders can be handled later.

Burnin, let us register first and reopen the shop for browsing. Reopen ordering wednesday. There is no need to hurry.

I just quote for the record:

Nimm den Shop offline !!! Caching ist aktiv ! Das ist gerade ein RIESEN Daten-Salat !

Gruß Menig

Everyone else wait and we can coordinate who gets to take a turn ordering.

No that would be totally unfair. Restart the whole thing.

Its totally buggy and you cannot be even sure to order the things you want.
Due the time you clicked on buy, other people could lay things into your cart.

canceling everything is not so easy ! because i paid already for my order via paypal Cheesy

Are you sure you paid your own assembly?  Roll Eyes

Cheesy in my account is only one order visible, and it is paid, the cart was wrong (need 20, and on checkout only 19 are in the cart....
but 19 with a good queue-number sounds better then 20 with a bad queue-number Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

On a positive note, the server seemed to cope with the load quite well. Should be great once the cart thing etc is sorted - site looks great btw burnin. I guess it's easier to be cheerful about these things if you didn't have to wake up dead early for this. I feel for those of you in different timezones!

So Maybe it's better that Burnin keeps the site down for at least 24 hours.

I'm sure a lot of people keep pushing on F5 at the moment Wink

@burnin

When you launch your shop, I think it would be wise to disable the order button in the beginning for a certain time (1 or 2 days), so that all the guys can have a look at the offering, the different items and how to combine them. That would prevent possible wrong orders done in a hectic rush and also the trouble you would have to correct the orders. When questions arise you can answer them in advance.

Just my thoughts.
As I said before.

This. Refunds don't need to be handled, people can show their receipt or proof of payment or whatever they already paid for, so that should be an easy job.

Absolutely, not even mentioning bugs and confusion but also Burnin gave wrong opening time. It supposed to be 9pm GMT time. The shop was open at 8pm GMT time - I even missed the whole chaos Tongue

New email from Burnin

Quote
Hi,

Unfortunately the order website seems to have some
bug that other peoples order turn up in their shopping carts.
I am working to resolve those issues.
If i can't resolve them in the next hour the launch will be rescheduled for tomorrow.
Existing orders will be checked.
If you have an error in an existing order please let me know so i can correct it.

..so we have to keep mashing F5 for another hour yet? lol
It's going to be a 3hrs sleep day for me then, already 6am here so no chance to go back to bed if he's trying to reopen the site within the hour :/  I wish he would just push the launch back to tomorrow.

This whole "order rush to gain early delivery" is bound to generate problems (see: TerraHash ordering blunder). It may happen again here, in one form or another. There is a simple solution that will satisfy everybody, and is fair: just make the "chips-delivered-to-Burnin-order" main sort order (as it is now), and the second sort order may be a simple lottery. Fair to everyone, you can order slowly and peacefully making no mistakes and without fear you'll be late. Just my 0.00000002 BTC.

Does anyone know how many coolers are provided with each board? Or it's 1 cooler per 2 boards and odd board numbers receive 1 extra fan?

this should be no.1! if there is a huge difference between delivery from batch 1 and 6 for e.g. why should someone from batch 6 should get chips from batch 1?!

3. Position within batch

What if batches overlap? I.e. group #1 arrives.  Takes 5 days to make all boards.  Group #2 chips arrive day #4.

I would think that batch #1 should finish before any if #2 starts?
