Yes it's unlocked, I never put a password.

It's also a new installation and wallet dat from 3 days ago. No cfg file or anything.

Is there any command I can run in the console to see if staking is on, or perhaps why it might not see the coins as mature?

Man, never, ever do this again, always put strong passphrase to your wallets!!!
And other thing, if you ever don't set the password, at least don't speak about it on the forums.

When I said I never put a password I meant I never did on the particular wallet. Not that I generally don't put passwords.

This wallet is new and has still very little in it. All my important wallets are protected

I had coins with over 301 confirmations. When reserved set to 0, they all entered staking.

I have yet to actually receive a stake but they are stake enabled now.

You need to wait for 301 confirmations

It was working with 16.04, you just had to create conf file and add addnodes.

Do what I did, get a cheap old laptop($100), have it on 24/7 and use it for all POS coins.

This coin looks to be a decent one however to have that kind of staking, I agree that one must have around 20k coins which will cost over 1BTC. Also wondering why would one have a static POS reward of 25 coins. How attractive that would be and how will it help the investors? I know coins which offer higher ROI. Can someone help me understand this please?

Maybe if you have 5000 mature coins, they are expected to stake after 24hours on average, but then you have to wait another 25 hours for them to mature again. So over time, the expected return should be half that or slightly less

At these prices, if 20k coins give 50 netko, that is 250k sat. So 1 BTC gives 0.0025 btc daily. That's almost 100% if you account for compounding too. You sure you know of a better PoS return from a serious coin? I don't care about random shitcoins that are created with 500% pos and are dead next month.

Of course even netko does not give such high rewards forever. Soon the stake difficulty will rise but it will be very good for years
