Unfortunately i do not know how to set a miner. Can someone give me more details or help me to setting miner for Solaris?
.bat -
ccminer -a nist5 -o http://127.0.0.1:18921 -u Wallet -p X
solariscoin.conf -
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18921
rpcuser=Wallet
rpcpassword=X
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
mining=1
addnode=185.183.99.171
addnode=185.183.99.19
For pool mining You need to change -o parameter in .bat for pool address and -u & -p to match Your worker's credentials

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

We need decided about specification Solaris with masternode.  With the newest core base 12.2 we can get PoS coin. What you think about this?  Which algorithm  will  be  suitable for Solaris if we chose PoS  ?

Signature bounty received, ty. I think XLR is doing great dispite all the volatility in the bitcoin market. If there should be a new coin with masternodes, will there be a swap?

It's maintained buoyancy around 0.2 for a while. that's a good thing

I am not a developer but keep hearing about Ouroboros PoS algorithm. How hard is this to implement in a new coin? Looks to be a lot of interest around it currently.

If you are going to do a new coin with masternodes, I think it is best to do it X11, it will be better for your network. This NIST5 thing will probably mean you have pretty low hash rate forever.
We need decided about specification Solaris with masternode.  With the newest core base 12.2 we can get PoS coin. What you think about this?  Which algorithm you advise ?

Thanks for support!

I would say tribus quick and efficient algo!

But why do we need to change algo? By far XLR is the best nist5 coin atm. Also nist5 is quite energy efficient algo Smiley

Neither nist5 nor tribus is ASIC resistant.  But there is no asic currently for them.
Actually these algos are very similar, so I don't know why to change?
Besides, tribus is new algo and there is a few of mining software for it.   Nist5 is already everywhere: cpuminer, ccminer (even old versions), sgminer

Hi there, first of all, I think this is a very promising project. I'm currently mining Solaris and also bought some on Cryptopia. I have a few questions, though.

When I first downloaded the Windows wallet, it didn't start synchronizing automatically and said there were "0 active connections". I solved it by creating the .conf file, but why is it happening in the first place? It makes the coin look a bit unprofessional and could be a turnoff for more casual users.

I'd also like to recommend creating a subreddit and perhaps get on some other social media, a sense of community around the coin will increase it's worth in the eyes of a potential investor researching the coin.

Other than that I'd like to thank the developer for staying very active and I hope he'll continue to do the great job he's doing.

Best of luck to Solaris!

I decided to run my own wallet today and also ran into the no synchronization issue. After the .conf file is created, how long should I expect it to still say "out of sync"? I don't see any indication that it's making any progress at this point.

****all good, it synched very fast once it started. Smiley

I am running a windows wallet, I am getting still "out of sync" after the .conf file is created and I have over 11 connection! How long should I expect to wait?

Delete everything on the wallet folder EXCEPT for your wallet.dat then open wallet again. it'll create the deleted folder/files again and resync to the latest block

I agree to say that NIST5 is what makes Solaris an interesting coin.
