What about the pooled bet? More proper bitcoiners are looking forward to have your coins in exchange of BTU.

Let's see where each of us stand, and who believes what he says.

You can do this at bitfinex.

For the record,  I replied to Loaded on March 24, 2017, 10:29:47 PM.
I still haven't heard back from him yet.

Oh please

You can accept or decline the terms right now, then everyone knows where you both stand

Or do you need more time to think it over

You spin that comment however you want. I'd say a potential $100million+ bet warrants some due diligence.

I have yet to receive any contact. Will be on vacation with spotty internet until Monday.

Loaded was on vacation so I suppose we should wait for an action very soon.

Duh.

Still, 3.5:1 is a very good deal. At HitBTC (don't know if legit) you get 9:1 and even that is too low IMHO

Thats the only place online where you can sell your bitcoin unlimited or BU coins. Roger Ver is not challenging the core developers but rather he wants other party to grab the bait so he can actually get hold of those huge value of bitcoin. Whatever Ver's reason it has cause bad publicity for bitcoin and has cause major panic to the community.

The terms that Loaded offered are inherently unfair as they give loaded an easy out of the transaction. The terms of the deal are effectively that loaded gets a free put on BU in the event of a fork.

No one acting rationally would accept the terms that loaded is offering regardless of the asset pair being traded.

Which is why Roger turned up just now to refuse the bet?
Presumably Roger was hoping to negotiate more reasonable terms with loaded

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/60ozkh/rogerver_lets_make_a_deal_1_for_1_trade_at_least/

Its not about terms.
If Roger was for real he would have signed wallet ownership like loaded did.
its like a dower.
first you show you are for real then you negotiate the terms.
by signing ownership over this 40.000 btc wallet loaded showed he is for real
Roger never signed anything.
So he lost all credit , and what he says is not worth anything.
he did not put his money were his mouth is.

Ver did not sign a wallet its al
"ver said he contacted" etc etc ....
SIGN ownership to see you are for real this is why dower.  came in to existence!
To separate  wheat from chaff.
I don't care who mailed who , the only thing roger can do is signing ownership over a wallet containing at least 40.000 btc....
the rest is trying to reset coal post and try to escape the subject.

Who's spinning what exactly, bett?

Its very simple the ONLY thing roger needs to do is SIGNING OWNERSHIP over a wallet containing 40.000 BTC or more.
At that moment evrybody INCLUDING loaded can see roger is for real , then loaded wil contact roger ver.
Its like in ancient times
If some one challenges you you respond back in the same public matter so the challenger
cant escape  eighter.

Roger does not respond publicly in a binding matter that tells he is a fake.

not so much that's kinda the whole point of btc tech, you can prove you have the money, you can set up some sort of contract to pay out, even if you used say eth to do it.

Of course, that's the logical thing to do. The worst thing you could do is allow a bunch of kids you've never met, playing on a forum, to goad you into a bet for a small fortune. This is the same forum that created Trendon Shavers who cost forum-fools 764,000 btc and Mark Karpeles that cost them 850,000 btc. Can you believe these idiots actually gave money to someone that called himself a "pirate at 40" with an avatar of a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder and a description that said "Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late". Yeah, these are the people who's respect you want to earn. ROFL

What process are you referring to in which Roger would have to expose "all his addresses" or "give up" any "privacy"?

Liar.

I've read a lot over the past few weeks trying to see for myself if BTC or BTU is better. I am leaning toward BTC. Of course, one should do their own research and then form their opinion, but after doing that for weeks and then seeing the OP back up his position with this much money at risk, it was amazing, refreshing, and confirming. The OP's post is another straw on the camel's back that leans me even more toward BTC.

I dont think ver signing anything is relevant, I dont think anyone doubts he has enough to cover the bet, if he will follow through is a different story.

I doubt that , because to show he is for real he should sign , I would not be suprised  this guy HAD a lot of btc once and now only has debt.
But more important the fact he does not follow true says he does not believe in his own creation btc-u.
And thats why I say he is a fake in all possible ways.
