I don't think extending the supply or introducing a miner tax is a good idea. I'm sure there's enough via supporters to fund ideas and projects through crowd funding. For example, I would be happy to contribute toward getting exchanges to list VIA or getting VIA implemented into a ledger wallet etc.

Ah yes, many thanks for the reminder, it was this post, I can't remember if I asked them about adding VIAcoin back then but will do so now anyway, finger's crossed: btw, I heard from my BTCC contact yesterday that they'll be adding DASH and some other Alts in a few months, I must ask them to make sure that VIA is on the list.
"Hi Otoh,
I apologize for the late reply. We haven't introduced DASH and the other alts on our exchange, but we're planning to do so over the next months. I'll let you know once we do.
...."
Edit, just checked, I had asked them back then as they'd asked which I'd be able to do some Alt market making on when they listed a few & I've now sent a reminder. Thanks for the efforts Otoh! For anyone new to crypto (or "Technical Analysis" guys) BTCC is a Chinese Exchange https://www.btcc.comI have to feeling a lot of people don't get this, but getting added to BTCC would be a huge deal. It will probably gets more attention than the Segwit adoption and activation. And this is market making https://youtu.be/Guqs3eOgm6o Great news and hope, in this current nihilistic environment.

Is there a tool to extract priv keys from clearwallet seeds, can you make that available for download so people can get their VIA?
I understand running an online wallet is not cool, but what about making the tools available, even letting people run your last version of clearwallet on their local PC
Yes, there is a tool to extract clearwallet keys from seeds, but the via dev @romonornr deleted my post announcing it ... he doesn't help, and stops other people, what gives ?

Officially got 103 coins in viacoin core, and sporting a viacoin t-shirt from some gracious fella on reddit.
Registered here because I think the only thing this coin is missing is a more active community.

Got 1 complain about it not working & possibly stolen XCH passphrase

Awesome, totally agree. Lots of great developments and just need some ongoing community growth. Lots of people on the telegram channel that could possibly go to Reddit as well.

... great to hear that OTOH btw what is market making? is it like having large amounts of coins? i got 250k VIAS and would be interested too
cheers
Yep, it's basically committing to the Exchange that you will put up a bunch of bids and asks on their order book, say 50 BTC worth of each either side of the spot price, maybe 1 BTC at 1% away each side, 2 BTC at 2% etc or whatever you're happy with, in order to provide liquidity for the Exchange and anyone wishing to trade there. Sometimes they may offer you a lower, or zero, commission rate for doing this as well. ah great to know that and thanks for the reply in viacoin for the long haul and it just did a full retrace again but sure the day will come when its over 200k sats

Jeez, try to do something helpful for the community and get accused of scamming and being shady, I wont bother next time.

He said he deleted the post because 3rd party tools should not be advertised on this thread. In some cases, they have been shady.
