... What is the point of having a masternode when it will have work life of less than 6 months?
Ethereum just implementing PoS for now. Sharding will take 2-4 years to implement. And the whole thing is just a big IF. |

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Anyways, like you said. It will take some years (Plasma, sharding, casper) Right, it will take many years for ethereum to switch from Proof of work to 100% proof of stake also we don't really know if this is going to work or not. If Sonm can have masternode then it will be the first project on ethereum to be able to do this. |

For a block producing masternode, you need like 500,000 SNM. At today's prices - that's like $100,000. Better buy more SNM tokens now while it is still cheap. |

For a block producing masternode, you need like 500,000 SNM. At today's prices - that's like $100,000. Better buy more SNM tokens now while it is still cheap. The gate nodes still give a great ROI, estimated around 10-15% a year, in the future even 20% when the network is used a lot. Imagine earning 20K Sonm a year when the value is at a couple dollars a coin. |

I'm also looking to increase a little my snm position. I think it's a great entry point. Who knows, maybe after mainnet release we will never see sonm capitalization under 100m . |

Do you have access to a super computer? If you have one in your basement then there is no need to use the sonm network. For most people that have a standard desktop or laptop this will give easy access to something that offers super-computing power. |

Master nodes surely will be dominated by entrepreneurs and big investors but we still can have good profit being early investors. Who knows may be later some renting tokens type things will be introduced to become part of nodes by renting your tokens. I didn't read deeply about nodes but saw this model in other projects in past.
