We wont really deal on a loss if we didnt try to sell of our coin that we do hold. Incase you do panic because of sudden decrease then move on and dont make the same mistake on the past which we would really not easily be panic when prices do crush unless if you are buying on a pump and dump coin then its an ideal move to secure profits but when we are talking about bitcoin or top altcoin then we should not make this habit.

Depending on each situation we will have different ways of dealing with the loss. In some cases I still hold and wait for the price to recover again because I believe the price will rise again based on my experience, information and analytical skills. However, in some cases, I choose to wait for the price to recover a little then quickly cut losses, especially when the coin was pumping and then tended to collapse, if continue to hold, we will lose more money. But in any situation, we must also keep calm if we panic, we will make the wrong decision

You have keep yourself composed and don't let a loss affect you emotionally. Most of the time we get too frustrated when we lose a trade and then we make sudden rash deciaions that instead of making things better, we'll end up losing more. Trading is a test of patience especially if you see a dump in the altcoins you've invested to. Just do not sell without at least minimal profits and keep your emotions in check.

Hit the gym and come back tomorrow. Any experience trader will tell you psychology is one of the most important factors behind trading, dont be wreckless in order to recoup your initial loss, remember if you make a trade and it drops 50% you then need to make 100% inc on your next trade.

Good encouragement to yourself and drinking something to make yourself calm is the best way to deal with loss. Just always think several times before trading and buying the alt coins that you want to invest because that will lead you to loss if you are not prepared and you don't what you are doing with it.

One can easily avoid loses by actually diversified its investment. But in trading loses is viewed in different ways. Op you should see loses as essential part of trade. You cannot continuously making profit like wise making loses.

Normally i trade only for a short term profit and of course i won't always get profits , so what i do is wait for a month if the price has legit not shown any progress i sell it at the minimal loss , till now because of this i must have made a loss of 0.3 btc or something, but i have also got pretty good profits so it doesn't bother me much

I just see you as a coffee addict lol , but yeaaa sometimes it makes your head fresh.
Sounds like a small thing but when you take it seriously it could produce something big more than just a coffee.
The point is to take a break and build a better plan after make some evaluation of course.

You should do your own research before investing in any altcoin.You should be able to trace and find out the most under valued coin.If you have done good research and have confidence that your coin is under valued coin and its price would rise in future,then you can remain cool.But if you have invested in a wrong coin and you have no hope that it would rise again,then you have to just sell your coins at the present lower rate and lessen your losses.

The question is how, you need to deal with and what you did is maybe right because you make sure you will not be depress with your loses.
Loses is normal because trading is gambling, just yesterday when I lose a decent amount in less than an hour but I make myself calm because I know it's the risk of trading, not all the time you lose but what matters is you will be profitable in the end.

It would be advisable as well to refrain from thinking about tradung for a time if you're that type of person that takes it hard if you had a big loss. Thinking about what happened would affect you more emotionally so just take a release from it. Then you'll be fresh to make better decisions when you come back

I mostly trade stocks but the same principle applies I think...

When I suffer a loss, I re-evaluate my investment. If I still think it looks good, I usually try to double down on my position. I wrote a post about doing this with Impinj (PI) here:

This is a risky move but if you are patient and confident about the pick, it can pay off.

What about your performances in your process of recovering your losses ? Are you successful ?
But I do not think it will be a working plan if you are going to chase down your losses. You must accept losses and need to move on so that next day you can make profits and on the course you may recover your losses quicker than you may do intensively.
