Is this the 120 Watt PSU without cooling? We wrote several times here to keep them apart as they heat up and melt the plastic.
For serious miners we recommend the 750Watt PSU that we have on our website.

On a side note: The stock fans on these are _terrible_ -- we've had 3 or 4 start to fail with bad bearings already... and I'm sure others will follow shortly

These are the best we've found. We have even picked up 24Volt fans and running them at 12Volt so they'll make less noise.
If you send them back we'll be happy to replace them and have a chat with the factory about their quality control.

If you need a quick replacement, newegg has some good deals on PSUs. I picked up a Sparkle 500w 80plus platinum for $65 that's working fine with 14 lancelot boards. NEVER stack the PSUs!!! Tonight the topmost of them (after about 4 hours of full load work) has been literally blown away by the heat, with the plastic enclosure partially melted!

Plastic enclosure huh?  Sounds like a wallwart or brick-style power adapter.  Not recommended (by me).

Personally, I run all my stacks off of quality 80-Plus ATX power supplies (Seasonic, Antec).

I got a few requests for a 'non' sudo version of the script for a few OS's like PCLinuxOS which are debian based but dont have sudo, so I have made a new version of the autosetup script for the Lancelot, here,

Is it really necessary to specify the vendor and product IDs when loading the LKM?  I've always had it work without specifying those.

If they are indeed necessary, you may want to add "rmmod ftdi_sio" beforehand, to unload the module in case it's already loaded (without having had those parameters specified).

Yes, that is the reason why I ordered the Lancelot to ATX adapter! Unfortunately I didn't receive that very item, getting three 120watt PSU instead.

By the way, I've carefully opened the enclosure, it appears that is simply the fuse (nothing else is burned). It's soldered on the board, I'll swap it tomorrow

It can be cheaper: As many of you have noticed, we have credited your account with us for the shipping difference (if we managed to get the shipping fee lower than $70). We can refund the shipping difference in bitcoins or you can use it for your next order.

The default firmware is running at 200mhz.

The power consumption is 26.5 Watt / device.

It won't void the warranty. You can replace them if you need to.

Block Eruptor USB or Blades are a better deal than this.

The Blades are a pain to run, they take some hacks to even get them going. There are only a limited number of them and the cost of entry is really high. Probably too high for an enthusiast.

I haven't seen anyone use the Block Eruptor USB's yet so I can't comment there but the hash/$ isn't much different.

These are available, in hand and hashing away and FPGA chips have other uses so resale should be decent in the future.

that might be the problem using fans that should be run at 24v at 12v...hmm...
