Well then...
If you take I94 all the way to Fargo -> Go thru Fargo over the bridge into Minnesota -> then onto Hwy 10 through Dilworth -> and then drive west to Detroit Lakes... I'll drive south down Minnesota Hwy 59 and meet you at Brygge Taps & Tastes on Veteran's Memorial Parkway just east of Washington Square Mall... BT&T has craft beer on tap, and is half a block east from the City Liquor Store... just in case... and from there, it's only half a Continent to Phil's place! Now that's a Road Trip, mfb!

Sorry if this has been covered before, but just wondering what the minimum hashrate would be to reach dust level? Anyone know?

Cheers.

Not to be difficult, but if there's no time frame listed, almost any hash rate will get you there... eventually.

I started with two 2-Pacs hashing at about 40GH/s total. At that time, the pool was proudly listed as 7PH/s... and it took at least a couple of months to hit Dust Level... I can't be more accurate than that, as I'm at work in the city - and my spreadsheets are at home, where I do forestry and my miners do, umm mining...  Smiley

… and how rude of me not to wish my American neighbors a happy Thanksgiving. Be safe in your travels, folks, and I hope you can make it home to give your Mother a big hug... if she's already passed on - then tell someone how wonderful she was... where would you be without her Huh

Now I get it. Just got to accumulate the dust to reach payout level. So doing some rough math ive got a couple of newpacs running 50gh each so about 4months at the current 30PH.

Now I get it. Just got to accumulate the dust to reach payout level. So doing some rough math ive got a couple of newpacs running 50gh each so about 4months at the current 30PH.

In my first 7 weeks, with the pool averaging about 6.5PH/s, I started with just the two 2-pacs, but after 5 weeks added a couple more and then an R808 pod - which pushed me slightly above your 100GH/s... In the sixth week, the pool had a block solve which pushed my Derp up by 2000 Satoshi - but it took another two weeks for me to hit 5640 Satoshi... and there's your dust threshold...

So for me then, it took another dozen block solves to make it into the top 150 workers for my first payday... and I had been in the top 100 Active Workers the whole time... and the Pool took off - it wasn't unusual to see 80PH/s or more - so then at that low hash rate of mine, it still took about 4 months to get to first payday... Well I guess I found out how long `walking distance' was for me...

I don't know if any of this helps you, but for me, mining at -ck's pool started in late January of this year - not five or six years ago - so it's `relatively' current stats. Good luck with your NewPacs - I ordered mine a few weeks ago, but I'm sending out `a very special thank you' to Canada Post and their `rotating strikes'. I hope to be enjoying my [edit] already paid for NewPacs by February! Sad

There's way too many variables to guess when you will hit dust threshold or first payday... But if you go to:
http://www.yourcomputergenie.com/?address=Your-CkPoolBTCAddress
you should get some reasonable numbers...

I'll now be trying harder for that 38%... Three (3) NewPacs arrived today... and they're warming up to their new home @200MHz tonight...heck, they seem to be running way cooler than the TwoPacs have at any time... I'll push them harder soon, and report the results on the 5053833.0 thread...
Anyways, these 3 have found their way to me thru a postal strike and a now we've had a block solve this evening, too... Nice. Even with the value of Bitcoin dropping, I can almost taste that Scotch - but I've got to stop typing... Alarm goes off in 6 hours!
P.S.
I brought home a truckload of firewood tonight... Looks like Forestry works well with Mining again!  Wink
Coincidence?   Who cares?
Thanks everyone, and hash on!
