Redbreast 12y for me!

Though of late I've been enjoying a Manhattan I pre-made in an oak aging barrel I got for father's day! Don't judge, it's been stewing in the charred oak for almost 6 weeks now and is incredibly tasty!

Indeed I left weeks ago and am enjoying the benefits of doing so very much.

As I can now afford decent scotch again, Of course not from the minuscule rewards I am still getting from ramp down.
(Thanks to the B29's and B52"s I bought from CK)

But thanks for the attitude.
Funny how you were much more friendly back in Oct. 17 when I first enjoyed mining here.
You seemed far more welcoming then, Remember when we were struggling to make 2P and a block every 2-3 months
I toughed it out mining here often...Partially because of your encouragement.. well over six months... at a very significant loss...compounded by another at Kano's.

What does any of that have to do with my enjoying the camaraderie of this pool & it's thread?
I have previously expressed my regret that I just can't afford the risk inherit to SPLNS
And voiced my admiration/respect for CK...
I would prefer to be mining here...

And I enjoy tips on good scotch...so midleton and redbreast are on the must try list

AND I JUST FOUND A SIA BLOCK....so I guess I better be off to that other block party...

pee-pee math...

Seriously now...
When you throw attitude at the members of this Pool - and you certainly have... what would you honestly expect in return - but more attitude back at you? I've been quiet for the past few months, trying to ignore your little tirades of ignorance. I too am a Canuck. We're supposed to be polite. Often, we may be too polite... And we're also supposed to be proud beer drinkers... real beer... and as far as Scotch goes, you're Langevin is an overpriced swill that has a distinctive aftertaste reminiscent of fine petroleum distillates...So then, here you come again with bad attitude  - AND bad taste...We are not your whipping boys, nor do we come with band-aids for your poor judgement nor for your temperament... just p!ss off, eh?
I'm one of the little guys on this pool. I appreciate its honesty and the knowledgeable folks that you keep rippin' on... I've learned a lot by being quiet and listening to their advice... empty vessels make the most noise, man...and you've been way too noisy!

A lot of people don't have much food on their table,
But they got a lot of forks n' knives,
And they gotta cut somethin'...

What does any of this have to do with my enjoying the camaraderie of this pool & it's thread? Everything.

You expect me to be congenial and a "comrade" ('a companion who shares one's activities or is a fellow member of an organization') to someone that's verbally ran down the pool and essentially said we're all idiots for having been here?

That's going to be a full-stop "NO!".

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Let it mine for 12 hours and then tell us what it reads

I mine alt coins with https://simplemining.net...
I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

... what would be the bonus for him?

I've wondered about that for a while too! -ck, any easy way to estimate?

It's always been a small reward for small miners. It's approximately equal to the minimum payout threshold for the pool so if you were always below threshold, it would start putting you into the next payouts list.

I've been tempted to increase it but if I increase it too much that would start biasing towards the biggest miner, taking away from everyone else and we only really have one very big miner.

No worries, mate... there's a big difference between `noise' and things that are `sound'... so, you'll be alright... Wink

As one of the small(est) miners, I certainly get it! Thanks for explaining.

I try to walk the line of annoyingly enjoyable.

I'm just now ramping up again. It was over 95F in Portland today and not working from home means garage closed, so I powered down till now. Looks like we're still hunting for a block though.

I can't remember if you said before, but are you in a neighborhood or more out by yourself?   I had one going at home for awhile and I could hear it across the street (but it just sounded like someone was vacuuming or using a hair dryer 24/7)

LOL I'm in PDX too. The heat in the garage has been high, but my new S9is have been running at 80c tops during the day. I have 2 exhaust fans in the wall behind the miners. Hopefully, today it will be cooler for my sake, the miners don't mind the heat apparently. Wink

It may be a little cooler tonight but overall going to be warm through next weekend!   Keep your miners cool, should be easier to cool the air at night, just have to worry from about 11am to 7pm.
