News from burnin:

I received the chips from Zefir for batch 3 and up.
I have not received boards from Sebastian's Batch yet.

Once the chips are in hand of my contractor there is not much i can do to accelerate things.
And this week they were down to 1 Machine because of maintenance.
I initially arranged to use 2 contractors simultaneously, to deal with the large number of boards.
The chip refunds cut the board volume to less then half, I had to scale the operation down to reduce costs.
That also included the shipping contractor.

Regarding bitfury:
I have an exclusive agreement with cryptx until mid October.
Revenue i get on that deal will end up in the refunds.
My 50% refund offer exceeds my current available financial resources.
(all Paypal payments are unavailable)
The refunds are currently suspended because of that.
But I will stand by my word and carry out the 50% as soon as i can.

To any of the "he gets rich" screamers - revenue of this venture so far: about -20.000eur + 4 Months of Work.  Undecided
Not that those people will believe any of my words.

Yifu,

Please refund me the 15 bitcoins to 1CorsCrBEcbncfnR7BVKadUZbHP7xNZCjJ.

Thanks

done.

Also there will be some compensation for trade-in and chip order customers. ( you are entitled regardless, so don't think I am trying to sway your decision. )

Seems like those who received chips may get some compensation. That's what I was hoping for.

Hm... i wonder what this will be. If its a coupon code for gen2-chips or a miner then i wonder if the best way would be to auction it.

That would be low (coupons I mean). I actually hope for an amount of BTC per chip-order. Guess this is how they are trying to promote their gen2 /nextgen devices. And it could actually work, depending on the amount of compensation.

I called him today. He told me that all of our boards are built, a couple of them are still tested at the assemblers place and burnin is packaging and shipping boards each day. Though of course he couldnt tell me when all will be done.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

What is the latest Bitburner firmware? I have received it today and cgminer shows "Controller Version=2000000001".

I'm interested to see what difference it makes.
Has anyone tried with and without update?

If there is no real advantage, I'll keep the shipped fw version.

Seems to help the hashrate a bit (+1 Ghash for 2 Bitburners). What is strange is that when I set the voltage to 1334, it shows in cgminer as ~1360 (although at startup is says that it has set it to 1334). So now I use 1304 and it shows up as 1333.

1334 at 450mhz is the optimum for me. It doesnt matter what cgminer shows. 1334 is the target set and depending on that setting the best hashrate was reached. So in fact it might be 1355mV or so but the setting has to be 1334.

Feel saved due to the SebastianJu's quick refunds. You can't produce miners with these 10.000 chips for under 400-600 BTC total. If you can manage to accomplish the miracle and do it in next week or two there's no chance these chips will ever mine even 1/3-1/4 of these BTC back. Even if Yifu offers them for 1BTC it would be irrational to waste that 1BTC on 10.000 of them.

I didn't opt for a refund since I already invested in boards. In the long run I ended up paying about $53/gh/s and I just started mining this week.

Sorry to hear that. Today's worth of GHs is $12-$13, and that under the condition those GHs come from the energy efficient chips. Don't want to even calculate the worth of Avalons in USD.
