I came across this news today, and I think Salah has every reason to be disappointed. Not getting offer from the club he loves at this point means one thing, and that is a chance of him using the exit at the end of his contract. In as much as it is very important for every club to learn and get used to adapting and playing without some players, I think Salah still deserves maybe 1-2 years more. Allowing him to leave at once without even getting a key replacement will affect the team. We all know the impact he brings to the team. I hope Liverpool don't make similar mistake that they made when they let Sadio Mane used the exit.

Mohamed Salah is performing well despite this. He has 10 goals and 6 assists in the Premier League this season. I'm sure that if Liverpool don't give him a new contract, many clubs will want to sign him. He has the talent and strength to play in Europe's elite leagues for a few more seasons. Even if it's not clubs like Real Madrid or Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain would want to sign him. He would be a new star for their club after Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. And the French Ligue 1 would be an easier league for Mohamed Salah. He is 32 years old.

It is actually strange that Liverpool still didn't extend Salah's contract. Liverpool should be easy to extend his contract because he is a very important part of Liverpool squad. I'm very sure Liverpool still needs much of Salah's role. Salah always makes big contribution in every single match, he surely deserves to play in Liverpool for more than 1-2 years. Well, if Salah really leaves Liverpool, I also believe Liverpool performance will start to declining much. Its impact is probably even bigger than  the impact of Mane's exit.

                        nytimes

I saw this interview and it looks extremely terrible (for the club) - a key player who has been loyal to the club for many years and is already a legend of it is begging (in fact, that's how it sounds) for a contract extension. I understand he is not 20 and is a very expensive player in terms of salary, but I think at least they could discuss it? Salah has a Saudi Arabia option so he will not accept a significant salary cut, but why don't they start negotiations?

I believe Liverpool's management knows what they're doing and they'll still extend his contract even though it's for a year, I know selling Salah would come with lots if profits for them but their are some players you don't easily lose in a team and Salah is one of them, he's like the best player in that team if not the best and has helped them right from Jurgen Klopp's regime till this point therefore he deserves the honour from the management, the fans love him infact he's their favourite and losing him would be very disappointing to the fans. I think the management won't want to disappoint their loyal fans who's stood by them in both tough and good times therefore Mo Salah's contract might be extended for about a year or more if possible. However if peradventurely they decide to release or sell him off for profits, it would be quite difficult to find a youngster to replace Salah for the moment.

I think Liverpool already tried to extend his contract of Salah and they tried to do their best for it but still, Salah and Liverpool had weird relationships since Kloop was working in Liverpool Salah was even linked to some Saudi teams to end his career in these teams but in the end, he decides to stay in Liverpool while Klopp left this team. Now it seems the contract of Salah is about to end and this made many teams linked to this player.
Even Barcelona is trying to hire Salah for free if he stays without a contract.

That's what I think because they still know who Guardiola is and what are they going to do if they sack him? If you say A you gotta say B afterwards and it is well known that at the moment a lot of clubs are struggling to find a good coach with experience and outstanding skill to improve players and find the real diamonds in the transfer market. That is why I think like you that they would never sack him because they can't get a new one who could be close to his quality. Everything would be a weakening in the coaching staff. It is also the staff he has surrounded himself with. They would need an entire new team because they would all go wherever Guardiola goes next.
Guardiola is a coach who has always given evidence of being an exceptional coach not just for being on top of results, but for dealing very well, building a team that is solid, who’s creative and who can impose you. However, if the decision ever came to replace him, it won’t just be as much impact on the game, but also a mess of the neatly arranged work system. It'll take the club a lot of risk to decide to let him go without a sufficiently developed plan, in pursuit of another figure of this quality.

But the best thing is, make sure Guardiola can keep getting that support from management and the players. Together, the club can build closer communication and a vision that update as a constant without having to take big risks. Changes that might be necessary in the future have to be laid by us in such a way that the structure which exists is sustainable, the club continues competing and developing and doesn’t have to lose its identity.

There are many teams in the world that would not want a player like Mohamed Salah. Barcelona will of course want to bring a player like him to their team without paying a transfer fee. Because he is one of the best in the world in terms of attack. If Liverpool does not want to extend his contract with him, I think they will make a mistake. The real question to ask is whether the person who will replace Salah after he leaves the team can be as good as him. Because he is performing very well this year as well.

It is quite reasonable actually for Salah's current complaints because after all now his contract is only a few months away and Liverpool, especially Slot, still has not made any moves to secure Salah's current position at Liverpool.

Actually if you want to leave this actually looks pretty good but if Salah still wants to be at Liverpool for the short term of course this could be a slightly troublesome condition.

With Salah's current reaction it looks like he wants to stay and this is a good thing for Liverpool but they seem to be holding back in the tug of war and there must be some reason for this. If referring to Mane's condition a few years ago I think the possibility is still the same where Liverpool will extend the contract with the condition of reducing salaries which will ultimately provide new drama in the transfers.

Firing Guardiola will not solve the ongoing problems of Manchester City declining performance, changing coaches will only make the situation worse, possibly continuing in the long term. It is very difficult to find a coach who can match Guardiola's quality, the management needs to face the current problems with a cool head so that they can immediately overcome the problems that are occurring in the team. After conceding three goals in a draw with Feyenoord, at least the gaps in Manchester City's squad are increasingly visible. They are very fragile in defense, the midfield is also unable to maintain the rhythm of the game and is not motivated to increase or maintain the lead.

And the French Ligue 1 would be an easier league for Mohamed Salah. He is 32 years old.
No doubt with Mohamed Salah keep consistent performance after scoring 10 goals and 6 assists in Premier League matches this season, but have problem extend his contract because Liverpool want to give short term contract around one year but Salah surely will not reach agreement. Over Mohamed Salah have been 32 years old is not good if giving long term contract around two until three years later although he has consistent every season.

Mohamed Salah waiting interested offering extend contract from Liverpool without cut off his salary payment and get two or three years extend but if can't reach agreement believing he will accept huge transfer from Saudi Pro League teams exactly as free agent player. Salah's future depend with Liverpool decision want to give two years contract extend or loss him for next season and difficult to find who will have better performance for filling right winger side?

While I do not think that Rodri will want to go to Madrid and just being polite, I also think that Madrid probably will not want him as long as they have these players. There was literally a whole controversy about Rodri winning Ballon D'or, and Vinicious was angry about it, but even if Vini somehow leaves for another club, they still had plenty of other players that said something about this, so Rodri would be amongst enemies there, even the club itself did not send a single staff to the award ceremony because of it.
While I understand the logic of good player going to good team making sense, the drama there isn't really over and wouldn't really make any sense at all, which is why I do not think that anything like this could ever be possible.
Rodri have already shared his opinion with us that currently he didn't have any intention to leave the club and also told us that if he leaves he will choose up Barcelona over real Madrid. So there is nothing to remain discussed between Rodri and Real Madrid. Still he is a Manchester city player and maybe he could stay for 2 years more. Because Manchester city coach Pep has extended his contract and he wants to keep Rodri as his club player. In my opinion Rodri will not be happy to play in Real Madrid in the presence of Vinicius Junior due to Balloon rigid.

So I think we should close the chapter of both Rodri and Real Madrid. There are so many players who have much better ability than Rodri for example Joshua Kimmich. He has much more quality than Rodri. Currently he is 29 years old and his defensive driving position is undoubtedly world class. Real Madrid should think about it instead of Rodri.

@dezoel yes, I absolutely agree. Even though it is very important to have good players in the team but bringing good players also brings in drama, I think it is better to not bring in those players. And yes I think if they actually bring in Rodri, it is going to be a big problem in the team. The chemistry is not going to be there and at the same time, there are going to be groups of players who will have different opinions and will hate each other. Creating that kind of an environment just to bring in a player who is playing well is just not worth it in my opinion. Real Madrid still does have one of the best squads in the whole world if they do not have any injury problems.

Manchester City need to change the goalkeeper, Ederson play like shit recently.

I suggest Manchester City to sign De Gea, I'm sure everyone will happy with this transfer, Manchester City will get a great goalkeeper, while De Gea will happy to play in big team, Fiorentina will happy to get a lot of money from the transfer.

Fuck the "De Gea can't build up", a goalkeeper must able to made great saves, not play like a midfielder.

Is it terrible for the club, or is it terrible for Salah? They are leading both premier league and champions league and instead of focusing getting the title he is talking about his contract and saying he is going to leave, taking away the attention from trying to win the title.

If he is so unhappy with the situation, he might as well leave during the winter break to any team he chooses, if I was Liverpool management, owners or whatever, I would just send him away for free, to whatever team he agrees with, that way he can get out of there quickly if he doesn't like being there. I don't care how good a player is, I do not care how he could be important for the win, I rather lose than be blackmailed by a player.

Come on, friends, do we have to blame Ederson for the negative streak that Manchester City has achieved at the moment, or because of his mistake against Feyenoord yesterday in the Champions League?
In recent seasons, Ederson has been very impressive in guarding the Manchester City goal, so in a very difficult situation like today they should still support him to be able to rise immediately, instead of punishing him by looking for other goalkeeper, so far we can saw if defender as the main problem of manchester city poor performance, so I think, losing Rodri as one of the balancers between their defense and midfield is main facfor problem at the moment,  So I think to solve City problems, Guardiola must find another player which can replace Rodri role as a defensive midfielder.

I think Liverpool is not planning to extend Salah's contract, I have been hearing since last season that Liverpool is not planning to extend Salah's contract because Liverpool is planning to sign Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad, Liverpool lost hope in Salah last season when they saw that he was not performing well like the way he did every season, but for me I don't think Salah is the problem by then, the problem of Liverpool is that the team performance is not good.

Salah said in an interview that he feels disappointed that Liverpool has not sent any proposal to him about extending his contract, he loves the club and is not planning to leave now but if they did not extend his contract he would leave as he feels like he is not in the team project in the future, Liverpool need to look at the situation because Salah has been the team best player but if they did not want him again it will be good if Salah goes to Saudi Arabia than going to Barcelona because I am hearing that Barcelona are interested in him.

and it is higher than 1/4th for all seasons listed on that website and I think it is in every league. Can you give some credible link about the 1:4 saying?

I don't know how La liga comes up with the numbers but they look at a couple of things including the debt of that team. This is why it was difficult for Barca to register players.
Quote
This is the 1:4 rule by which clubs are allowed to invest €1 for every €4 they saved. Put crudely, offload a player for €10m and you can invest €2.5m. Or if that player alone accounts for 5% of their budget, they can invest 50% of what is saved.

If you read this article you'll see how a big news media house like ESPN say in 2020 that Barcelona won't be able to sign or register players like Lewandoski, Raphina and Kounde, but these 3 are Barcelona players today. And this is the kind of news that people believe. Barcelona have problems, but the problems are exaggerated by the media.

Yes, they obviously exaggerate in many regards as the doomsday which they always predict never comes true. But regarding financial fair play rules and penalties for violating them, I still think this will never come true in a serious way that would literally eliminate a club like Barcelona from La Liga and send them to Segunda division. Think about the damage that would cause to the league domestically, but also for the UEFA in terms of representation of the best football in the world. It's like Formula 1 excluding Ferrari and Mclaren or RedBull for a year. They would always agree on some penalty that still allows them to drive in the highest division.

What I know is that Moh Salah has been open to extending his contract at Liverpool but the club has not yet given a new contract to Moh Salah if Liverpool does not immediately make a decision regarding Moh Salah's future the club must be ready to lose the player for free and there will be many clubs eyeing him, it would be a shame if Liverpool lost the player for free because Moh Salah has been an important player for Liverpool so far and if they want to recruit a new striker it is not certain that he will be as good as Moh Salah.

Sallah has being Liverpool top scorer since he got to the club and he has score 12 goals for Liverpool this season in all competitions. I don't see why Liverpool is being reluctant to give him at least one year contract extension, or you they doubting his strength. Sallah has begin to lose interest in playing for Liverpool next season since there's no sign of contract extension, because he loves Liverpool Sallah was given an offer from SPL but he turned it down.

In my opinion Liverpool who have not made an offer to Moh Salah is a dilemma. I mean Liverpool seems to need a regeneration of Moh Salah replacement. Although I admit he is still worthy, still very on fire, but with Liverpool rather silent situation, it indicates that they are using the time to prepare a younger replacement figure for a long-term project.

If you say Guardiola will get pressure sack after those streak defeats, it seems like you are wrong because currently Manchester City have extended his contract as coach until 2027,  I think, that it will be a big loss if they fired a coach who has able to win a lot of titles for 7 seasons just because of a failure in 1 season.

If the defeat continues and Manchester City still can't get out of the pressure, it is possible that Pep Guardiola will face the problem of being fired and even though Manchester City has currently extended his contract.
We can see how clubs in the Premier League can fire coaches unexpectedly and that's just my assumption based on some experiences that have happened.
The pressure I mean will be fans who try to voice the dismissal that is caused by losing streaks in the next match.

That's just my assumption and indeed we don't expect that to happen because Pep Guardiola has turned Manchester City into an extraordinary club in the midst of such tight competition.
It's good to learn that you are assuming what you just said because it would never be a thoughtful idea for Manchester City management to think otherwise to sack Pep Guardiola as this time Manchester City is facing a bad time in football. If Pep Guardiola didn't get the problem that Manchester City is currently facing fixed, which coach will do that? Are they forgetting too early that Pep Guardiola is among the best coaches in the world? Having him sacked today, there will be big clubs who would like to sign him the next day to their clubs. In the end, Manchester City lost, and Pep Guardiola stands to gain a lot

Wether Liverpool extends Salah 's contract or not, I don't think the player has anything to lose because he has won it all at Liverpool, he might as well just decide to move to the middle east, maybe Saudi or Qatar, I think a lot of clubs would be dying to have him wear their shirt, so it's left for Liverpool to decide if they would love to retain him or not because their silence is creating so much suspicion about the Salah 's future.

On the side of Mohammed Salah he still have his heart for the club. We all know that he is still in a good shape and has been very proactive for the club too,  and this should make the coach persuade the club to extend his contract to one or two years, except the coach thinks otherwise.

Sacking Pep Guardiola would make things worse. Because as difficult as Man City are right now, they are still in a safe position in the EPL, it's just a matter of winning trophies, not an excuse to be bad overall. In the Champions League they can still qualify for the next round, so their current condition is not the end of everything.

But it is not going to be easy. I think they will make it to the playoffs, but they are now playing against Juventus Turin and PSG away from home. I don't think they would get 2 wins there. More like 2 draws or maybe even one defeat. It is still some time to go though as 2 of the last 3 Champions League games take place in January. Until then a lot of things might have improved. But still as Guardiola now said, this season is not going to be fun and I agree.

Anyone saw how he scratched his head and made his nose bloody? What the heck, he was going nuts on the sideline.
