In Hannover he would certainly get more assignments, but currently Hannover "only" plays in the second league and for a promotion to the first league it does not look this season again.

It should be a hard decision for him when it comes the amount of money he makes right now. But on the other hand, he won't find a chance to prove himself if he goes on like this. If I were him, I'd want to go on a loan and do my best to prove myself before coming back. Then things could be better for me of course.

I just had to look up how much he currently earns and what he would earn in Hannover.
That's really a joke on the part of Hannover... there they would try to stick to the current ceiling of 500000. That's just 10% of what he currently earns at Bayern according to different sources.

Money isn't everything, but I don't think he'll take that paycut.

We are getting closer to the summer every week and my excitement level goes higher. This is the transfer I am curious the most and it is really hard to predict which side will succeed in this. Do you have any concrete links for that? I'm really interested to dig more into the Wijnaldum situation.
He definitely isn't good enough for a top 5 salary but is a decent player I'm really unhappy we did not reach terms with so I'd like to read more about what he was expecting and what we were offering.

Wherever I look, I can't get concrete numbers from reliable sources.

Ultimately - he's a player we will be able to replace. It's just a shame we have to - because he was always fit and was really important to us.

He could be a good addition to the squad, especially since he is free but I don't think he can make it in starting eleven. He may be a good rotation player. Barcelona need to transfer better players to squad in midfield position.
