I believe if they could get Bale then they would have, but Traore have been in the premier league and he is not as expensive when you look at the salary differences. Bale is great and all but he has a very high salary so that is the biggest difference. Which is the main reason why they are probably looking at him. Plus Traore is 25 years old and that is a big difference to be fair, if a player is 7 years younger than you could get that player and then make them play a bit better by fitting them into your strategy as well.

So, this is not a horrible transfer choice to be fair, yeah I would agree that if you could get Bale for free and get him to accept a very low salary then you would prefer that, but if not then I would say that Traore with cheaper salary and 7 years younger looks like a better deal to get done, you can get more out of him.

What I think Spurs should do is put their hands deep into their pockets and bring out money to purchase a very good, quality player, if they want to compete for titles, then they must have to spend money, it's not just all about hiring and firing coaches, they must be very tactical in signing their next crop of players if they want to win trophies.

Eric Bailly, Abdou Diallo and Nicolo Casale are on the list of defenders that Milan want to sign in the January transfer window. I'm not sure about Eric Bailly, because this season, he only played 2x with United. If Bailly joins, it looks like it will just be a waste of money. Now Tottenham have been able to bring in a great coach like Conte, so to be able to compete in the Premier League, Tottenham must be able to

As far as I know, Real Madrid and PSG have been the most serious teams about signing Paul Pogba. And I didn't know that Pogba's priority was PSG now. I always say this too. Ousmane Dembele has been one of the biggest disappointments for Barcelona. They poured incredible amount of money just to buy him once. But he has never performed very well and met the expectations. A player who is worth 140 million euros should be able to play extraordinarily well. Dembele has had problems here and Barcelona are very regretful for buying him now. And even if they extend his contract and sell him by taking a transfer fee, it would still be so much below the price they signed him. So I think that it is the best for them to sell him now.

Pogba is a very specific player with a difficult character and unfulfilled potential. I'm not sure he would be the right solution for Real.
If Real manage to bring in Mbappe and Haaland, I’m not sure they need Pogba.
After all, Real currently have the best midfield in the world, Kroos, Casemiro and Modric and I don't see that they need an extra player right now.
Regardless of his age, Modric is playing great and Real will extend his contract again, so he will probably end his career at Real.
