Well, I agree with this. His desire to leave Old Trafford, made the relationship between Manchester United and Ronaldo worse. and in the end ronaldo did not get the trust of erik, in the end he had to be willing to become a second tier player.

I don't think that is what is making Ronaldo fall out from first team preference of ten Haag. I would say it's more about performance rather than relation. Ten Haag knows how great player is but right now he has better option in that position who he thinks is giving more on the pitch than Ronaldo at the moment. I am sure once Ronaldo pushes himself and try more and give ten Haag a glimpse of what he can do then I think he definitely can make it back into first team selection for sure.

The media has a lot to say always getting good information is always nice
I'm sure they both have a good relationship among themselves. Both the Coach and Ronaldo are in a good mood
The coach has to do what's right for the club in terms of fitness and appropriate selection. When he starts scoring then it'll all be on the winger's to sit tight, benching Ronaldo is way useless

The problem is that when we talk about Ronaldo, it is certain that the media will exaggerate this to make it look more attractive because news about big-name players always rises to the surface very quickly.
They now look fine as for Ten Hag's decision that's for sure because he realized that this was the right choice and actually in this case being a substitute was better for Ronaldo than being substituted in the middle of the game as this would trigger his emotions again and again.

Manager has to do the right thing for the team and ten Haag is doing that for the team. He is measuring players equally based on what kind of performance a player puts on the team. That requires guts which earlier managers didn't had. I don't think they will bench Ronaldo completely as they are out of attacking options and I think ten Haag plans is to use him as a striker in attacks at later stage maybe a bit with change in attacking strategy so I think somewhere there is a role for Ronaldo still. The thing is how Ronaldo is handling this situation as he obviously want to start and complete the game but manager always wants the best for the team and so at the moment he is not in starting picture right now.

Ronaldo's market value has decreased by 10 million to become 20 million euros in three months.
As others have already said in this thread, the market value that transfermarket is defining is not really a hard number that is valid for everyone that is involved in football. It is just a value that this site is setting following their own rules and parameters. Other sites are doing the same and may have different values for each player.
That being said, it is pretty obvious that the market value of Cristiano Ronaldo will slowly but surely become lower and lower because he is already 37 years old. I would say 20 M€ for a player of his age is still an excellent value. Many good players never had such a high value even in their prime.
however, this value has decreased. that's what's happening right now with Ronaldo. apart from his old age as a football athlete. His performance at Man United is currently also declining.
somehow it is very difficult for Ronaldo to get a club that plays in the Champions League. that's what he's looking for right now. even willing to pay less of course it should be an attraction for the club.
before wanting to leave, I think Ronaldo has to show his ability is still there. and playing at his best for Man United is a great way to attract interest from other big clubs.

In my opinion, there are two factors that are working against Ronaldo right now.

One of them is his age as the guy’s 37 right now and his body can only do so much for himself at this top level of football. As a matter of fact, the Premier League is an extremely physical football league right now, so playing there at the age of 37 and expecting the best out of him is a no-go.

Another factor could be the fact that he would like to play in the Champions League but is unable to do so. As a result of the fact that he wanted to leave United because he wanted to play in the Champions League and now he is not getting the opportunity to play, his morale has dipped and is affecting his performance.
I cannot totally write Ronaldo off despite his current age because Ronaldo is a kind of player who can put up a surprising displace on a good day, that kind of display that will shock the entire world so I think Ronaldo still has something to offer at Manchester United and Portugal national team. Despite his age he is still capable of scoring many goals and contributing to the teams success.

Ronaldo doesn't really have a "price", because it changes from club to club at this stage of his career. He is not the type of player who would be fine about going to Qatar or some Saudi team or whatever middle east rich persons team, or MLS, like Zlatan and Beckham did and earned a ton of money. If that was the case, I am sure you could find a team that is willing to pay 50 million for him and 50 million to him for 5 years, just look at Iniesta and how insane he is getting paid.

So long story short, that 20 million could very well become zero for the right team or fifty million for another, it all based on which team, he is not young anymore so his value is not known.
At this stage in illustrious Ronaldo's career his market value is very small shouldn't be more than £20m, but that aside I also that see Ronaldo as a player who will be open to move outside Europe. Ronaldo is a very ambitious player, someone who loves to be under the spot light, he wants to be noticed so going to Saudi Arabia will be like hiding away from the spotlight. Ronaldo can still be signed by a team for a bigger value like we see in some transfers where players are bought for value bigger than their initial valuation.

when cristiano managed to score 1 goal in the match against the sheriff (europa league), I saw the look on ten hag's face was very happy. Actually, Ten Hag really respects Cristiano and really wants Cristiano to be able to show his sharpness again on the field. I'm sure if cristiano continues to play well then ten hag will entrust him to continue as a starter and his contract next year will be extended by MU management.

De Jong is playing very well right now. I think the reason why he didn't leave Barca was because of his love. This could be an expression of his love for Barcelona. Also, if he goes to Manchester United  at this point, it will take him a long time to adapt and there are doubts whether he can play in the first XI. These are my personal opinions.
I agree that De Jong has love for the club and that will be the fundamental reason why he decided not to leave in the summer, he wants to play for the club but wants his wages owed to be paid, in my opinion it was a wise opinion to stay back at the club where he already build a fan base and good relationship with the players and coaching staff already. THere he feels at home and will play better.

De Jong didn't go to Manchester United because of any love for Barcelona.  There is nothing like love, at that De Jong did was for himself and his interest.  He felt that he needs to play champions league football to be more recognised in football and another thing is Barcelona technically held him back with buying off stories that Manchester United will pay. He is a good player and he is having a good season in Barcelona for now. Let us hope that Barcelona will pay all his outstanding entitlements that is due him and I don't know if he is one of the players that are taking pay cut in the club. The Barcelona team is very lucky to have a good set of players even when they are in financial crisis they were still able to buy good players that are able to contests in both Laliga and champions league.

so I'm not sure Dortmund can keep Jude Bellingham, my prediction is Bellingham will move to another club next year.
It is what it is, and let us also not forget that football is also a business that has to be run properly, i'd not blame Dortmund for selling their biggest players, they aren't the only club that does that, it happens quite a lot in football, when a big club starts calling, with a good enough fee, and most importantly if the player wants to go, the right thing is to cash in on them; you could hold the player against their will, and thus they lose form and also refuse to sign a new contract with your club, in the end you don't get great performances from them, and might sell them for way cheaper than you should have, or they just walk away from the club for free when their contract runs out. I'd only blame a club if they repeatedly sell their players to their closest rival, and in the process strengthening them, if Bellingham wants to leave Dortmund, then the club should make enough money from him and move on, like i said, it is what it is.

In my opinion, Real Madrid is the perfect place for Jude Bellingham. We can already see that Real Madrid are trying to rebuild their midfield as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have become older and Casimiro has left the club. Over the last few transfer windows, they have already bought a number of young players, for example, Edoardo Camavinga and Tchouameni, and they already have Fede Valverde, so Bellingham will be an excellent fit for them as well.
However, since Real Madrid already has Tchouameni, Camavinga, and Valverde, Jude Bellingham's chance to be the main player won't be so high. He must compete with those quality midfielders to be the main player of Real Madrid. It can be different if he moves to another team that has fewer quality midfielders. So, it can be good if Bellingham is looking for a competitive team. But it seems not a really good place if he wants to play regularly as a main player.

He seems really know that going to manchester united is a big bet that his career could really in risk.

I mean if you look at the current manchester united situations where they are struggling to achieve something , their last trophy is a europa league back in 2017 which means it's been 5 years and counting! Where at barcelona he could growing still both in career and achievements.
Pretty reasonable one though.

He is a good player and he is having

In the transfer process, the players themselves play an important role. As happened to Frenkie de Jong where Barcelona and Man United had reached
an agreement on a price, but because De Jong is still happy playing for Barcelona, finally De Jong refused to move to Man United. Therefore,
until the transfer market closed, De Jong still remained in Barcelona, because both Barcelona and Man United failed to persuade De Jong to move.
After all, De Jong's contribution to Barcelona is quite good, so it's a distinct advantage that Barcelona actually has a player like Frenkie de Jong.
And also Man United have got Casemiro, so De Jong doesn't need to leave Barcelona. I am very happy if De Jong can finish his contract at Barcelona,
I am sure De Jong will help Barcelona win trophies this season.

The coach has to do what's right for the club in terms of fitness and appropriate selection. When he starts scoring then it'll all be on the winger's to sit tight, benching Ronaldo is way useless

Erik Ten Hag has been able to transform the team mentally, physically and tactically. He has also been able to help improve some of the players who have been performing poorly, players like Darlot, Rashford and Fernandez have been playing alot better in the past 4 games so are commend Ten Hag's efforts. Ronaldo's situation I believe is just for the main time and in a short time everything will fall in place and he will get back his position in the starting eleven.

so I'm not sure Dortmund can keep Jude Bellingham, my prediction is Bellingham will move to another club next year.

The only time Dortmund says that they will not sell a player is when they want to increase the price of a player. Eventually, their main aim is to sell the player and bring in money.

@Coyster said we cannot blame Dortmund for selling the biggest player that they produce. I agree with that. A club obviously needs money to improve further and selling any player is obviously not a problem as long as the money is right.

But selling the biggest players that they have developed from the ground up to their direct rivals is just not acceptable. Because that directly portrays that they are only serious about making money and not serious at all about winning the title. I don't think it is going to be any different in the case of Jude.

Brighton signed a new head coach in the club after the exits of their former coach, Graham Potter. The new boss coming in is Roberto De Zerbi and contract agreed and signed until June 2026. The first experience for the coach in the english premier league and hopes he does better for Brighton. He have gather experience from other teams before coming in and have managed both shakhtar Donetsk and Sassaulo. He will try to adapt to the premier league pattern and hopes he learn fast because it's one of the league with the most competition.

To move from Barcelona to Manchester United at the moment is clearly a downgrade in terms of quality. Furthermore, the fact that players like Robert Lewandowski are coming into the Barcelona team makes it really difficult to convince a player to leave the club. In my opinion, De Jong should be able to handle it quite easily.

In addition to this, you can see some highly talented players coming into Barcelona as well as the fact that Barcelona will be playing in the Champions League while Manchester United will not. Hence, I do not see any reason for him to downgrade himself by going to Manchester United. It is evident that he is a highly skilled player and I think he will contribute a lot to Barcelona's success story in the future.

If Barcelona is able to bring in Silva, then they can sell de Jong to save money, otherwise, it would be quite unnecessary for them to sell de Jong.

Ronaldo is part of Ten Hag plans actually. But for some reason that makes Ronaldo want to leave Man United and he throws a tantrum to make his wish come true (he left the stadium when the match was not over in the pre season match), this makes Ten Hag choose to bench Ronaldo. After all Ten Hag is the boss and it's right that he should teach Ronaldo a lesson. If Ronaldo can do some introspection and showing good progress, I don't think there is any reason for Ten Hag not to choose Ronaldo as a starter.

Messi playing in the french league seems alot easier than playing in the Premier league, I feel pitiful for Ronaldo in the premier league, it seems like his career is now crumbling down, he doesn't even get enough playing time and has  barely made the first team for United this season. I still have the feeling that Ronaldo can still perform well in the league not necessarily outshining the other younger players.
So far Ronaldo is still played by Ten Hag in the Premier League. even though as a substitute, Ronaldo still showed his positive contribution.
I wouldn't think he was done with his career. his performance may have decreased since last season. even this season he didn't get many chances. 6 matches in the Premier League with no goals scored at all. of course, it is bad for fans.
Ronaldo must show his ability better than now. it will prove to Ten Hag and other European clubs to have it.
I do not think that him playing or not playing is about the game he plays or not. I believe it is about the fact that he wanted out and that is why he wasn't played at all. It would have made sense to keep him out or as a sub if he were to leave, that way you would get used to playing without him before he leaves, and after he leaves it wouldn't matter to you.

But, looking at the situation at hand, Ronaldo didn't leave, and that could mean that he would stay with United for this season, and if that is the case then playing him on striker could still be very well. It's not about his talents, he is a talented person even at his age, I believe it was transfer request and now if that's gone he should take his rightful place.

Personally I think Liverpool is the best choice or place for Jude Bellingham instead of Real Madrid that had already filled his position, infact according to some news reports Liverpool had made some moves to sign him in January, the likes of Elliott, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Henderson and Tiago has not live up to expectations this season in the midfield thus there is a need to beef up that area with the signing of Jude Bellingham, recall how he played brilliantly in their match against Man City in the UCL, I was impressed with how he controlled and took charge of their midfield even as a 19 years old, he has a lot to offer with age in his side.
