I really hope that Manchester United is bought by oil millionaires like the owners of Manchester City and Newcastle. Manchester United, which is struggling to rebuild its strength, is in dire need of large funds to finance its project. Oil millionaires have been proven to be able to build a better club. I take the example of PSG, Man City and Newcastle. After being acquired by oil millionaires the clubs turned into a scary club.

Newcastle is still in the stage of revamping and has started to show its strength, if Manchester United is taken over by an oil millionaire it will make the competition in the Premier League even hotter.

Leandro Trossard has been one of the attention getting players in the EPL since the beginning of the season. 7 goals and 3 assists in 14 matches. I think these are very impressive statistics considering that he is a left winger. There are so many strikers in the league who can't score even this many goals. Interestingly, Brighton still haven't extended his contract as it expires next summer. This makes me think like maybe he doesn't want to rush for anything. He might be waiting an offer from a bigger club first.

At this point, Chelsea might intervene in January. There are some news like Chelsea are interested in signing him in this transfer window. This might be a good transfer for them in case they don't sign Ronaldo instead. I still think they would make use of a striker more. I have no problem with whatever strategy Erik Ten Hag will implement with Manchester United, including bringing in many players from the Eradivisie to the Manchster United squad. As long as it makes Manchester United better then he is free to do whatever. Even though it would cause a lot of displeasure when he did that. When he included Martinez in the squad, there was initially debate as to why Ten Hag had brought him in. The reason he doesn't have the ideal body for a centre-back and whatnot. But over time, Martinez showed that Erik Ten Hag was not wrong to bring him to Old Trafford. Even now he is one of the mainstays of Manchester United's defense and is considered capable of making their defense better than the center back they had before.
Once again I say if what he is doing makes the team perform better then he is free to implement any strategy.

However I don't think Manchester United have added Depay to their transfer targets. There is no meaning in giving it another try considering his performance in the past. Competition in the fight for this one player will run quite tight. Because there are so many big teams that want to bring him in, Cody Gakpo will be confused about which team to choose. Actually Cody Gakpo still has 4 years left on his contract with Eindhoven, but if Eindhoven want to sell and take advantage of his transfer this is a good opportunity for them. But for now I hear Cody Gakpo is closer to Manchester United.
