Leandro Trossard has been one of the attention getting players in the EPL since the beginning of the season. 7 goals and 3 assists in 14 matches. I think these are very impressive statistics considering that he is a left winger. There are so many strikers in the league who can't score even this many goals. Interestingly, Brighton still haven't extended his contract as it expires next summer. This makes me think like maybe he doesn't want to rush for anything. He might be waiting an offer from a bigger club first.

At this point, Chelsea might intervene in January. There are some news like Chelsea are interested in signing him in this transfer window. This might be a good transfer for them in case they don't sign Ronaldo instead. I still think they would make use of a striker more. But of course Trossard is really playing like a striker already at the same time.

Indeed Leandro Trossard has been very impressive this season for Brighton, he has already registered 7 goals and 3 assists this season making him one of the most sort players in this transfer window. I really wish Arsenal will go for him because we need strengthening in our attack and a little more options for Saka and Martinelli. I heard Chelsea are also interested and Potter will have influence in the deal if the want the player, we shall see how this turns out in January.

I am so happy for Trevoh Chalobah, he has been on the sidelines for so long, he's a brilliant player but wasn't given the opportunity by Thomas Tuchel to play for his boyhood club which Potter is now doing. One of the things that surprise me with Thomas Tuchel was his decision to bench Trevoh Chalobah and go buy a player like Fofana, putting Trevoh and Fofana side by side, I'll pick Trevoh as he seems like the more complete defender to me and he has proven that numerously on the pitch. At some point he had a long lasting record of not losing any game he started for Chelsea but that record got broken recently although that's not an issue as record get broken and new ones get set.

This six years deal is a big one for Trevoh Chalobah and one that favor the clubs as they're assumed of having their players for longtime which means the coach will still have the players he's building now for long term. Chelsea just have to resolved Mason Mount contract next so we have all our youngsters contract settled and we can focus on the league ones the world cups tournament is over. What do you guys think about Chalobah's contract extension, Was he worth it or the club is making a big mistakes extending his contract when they should be out their looking for better defenders to sign?

After officially parting ways with Ronaldo, Manchester United really need a new striker who can replace the position left by Ronaldo. Manchester United's plan to get Cody Gakpo seems to be facing big obstacles, apart from having to compete with other big clubs, PSV Eindhoven will increase the selling price of Gakpo because Gakpo's performance at the club level and the Dutch national team is very good.

Manchester United might not be able to sign the PSV young striker anymore because many other clubs will be interested in him. But I feel that that is not a problem at all because January open window will give opportunity for clubs to sign good players. That is because the World Cup is going to give  so many good players and there will be too many options for any club to sign, that is to say any given player will surely have a better replacement if he fails to go to any club. That is the beauty of this world cup.

Just don't focus on one particular midfield. A lot has changed since the World Cup, and things may improve dramatically after that. As far as I know, Man United does not mind being considered as a potential acquisition for Franki de Jong. With Ronaldo gone and their current condition, they have limited options up front, and for them to compete comfortably, they will need a top striker and top defensive midfielder. If they don't strengthen the team in January, they might not be in the top 4 either.

Manchester United does no longer need the services of a midfielder, the midfield that Manchester United has is very much okay and can lead them throughout the season their major problem is to have some defenders in the squad and then have a good striker that can replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the attack. As a Manchester United fan, I don't think my opinion matters if the coach Erik Ten Hag wants Memphis Depay back at Manchester United all because of his love he's got working with dutch player's. Me as a Manchester United fan, I do not give him my blessings on the return if Manchester United are heavily linked with him. Even Edison Cavani would have done a better job with this squad than Memphis Depay.

I also don't think that Memphis Depay should be the number one target of Manchester United. I just don't see him as an absolute top player in european football to be honest. Don't get me wrong he is a talented player but definitely not in the same league as the best ones in my opinion. Also i am not sure if Depay really has the character to be an absolute top player that also is able to lead his team to a victory or through a difficult match. For me he seems like one of those ghetto-kids that made a big fortune pretty much out of nowhere because of his talent in football and now he kinda became a pretty big diva that only plays good if he is in a good mood.

Nope, if Manchester United feel they're lack of striker, they wouldn't terminated Cristiano Ronaldo. This mean they're already think twice and know the consequence if they terminated Ronaldo, they wouldn't just let their ego and terminate Ronaldo without any back up or plan. Manchester United currently has 5 strikers e.g. Sancho, Martial, Antony, Rashford and Garnacho, it's already a lot among other clubs.

The team needs a striker that would play as a pure 9 upfront and all those 5 players play better when they are not placed upfront. Aside from that, Ten Hag is a coach with solid determination and he said he wont be playing Ronaldo ever again thus there is no reason to not part ways with Ronaldo. Team definitely needs someone to take on that pure striker initiative though

Trevoh Chalobah's experience is a clear proof that talented players need to be given opportunity to improve their standard. Under Thomas Tuchel Chalobah was a shaky defender that always made mistakes. His passes were not usually accurate and he seems not to be confident. But we have seen this youngster improve tremendously after the sack of the German tactician.

Graham Potter believed in him and gave him the right platform to showcase his talents and capabilities. A six years contract with an optional additional one year is a clear indication that the club has seen the promising career of the 23years English defender and is willing to keep him. Regardless of the problems Chelsea is currently facing, Trevoh Chalobah believes that the club has a bright future and he is part of it.

Simeone is a good manager.  Maybe Joao Felix isn't good enough for what he wants in his squad?  It could also be stylistic differences when what the manager wants isn't the skills that the player has.  Perfect example of this is Kevin De Bruyne.  He was at Chelsea back in the day and couldn't get in the starting line up under Mourinho.  So he moved to Germany where he played for Wolfsburg.  Then a couple of seasons later, Guardiola acquired him and turned out to be one of the best midfielders in EPL history.  

It was funny how that turned out.  A loss of one club is another club's gain.  A huge gain.

True, it is very unfortunate when you see a young player with potential only being used as a substitute bench, it will hinder his career. He'd better go and try to get a team that can play him regularly, or at least be given a lot of minutes. They have to realize that they will not improve if they do not have enough playing time to add to their experience and experience in matches and also in big game matches.

It will be a problem for Manchester United to bring in players in both positions at the same time. I believe that Frankie de Jong is a very talented defensive midfielder. However, if they were to bring him into the team right now, would they have the financial ability to sign a top-notch striker at this time?

And if they are thinking about bringing in a mediocre striker I think it is better to not bring a striker at all. Because bringing in a mediocre striker is not going to be enough for Manchester United right now. If they actually want to stay in the top 4 they will need a really effective striker who can score at any moment.

I also agree. Especially after signing Casemiro, I don't know if it is going to be a smart idea for them to add another midfielder. They should spend the most amount of money trying to find a striker who can score a good amount of goals for them. If they want to bring de Jong along with a striker they will end up getting a striker who is probably not so proficient, which will defeat the purpose of bringing a striker in the first place.

Rumor has it, Manchester United already have several names on their list to be brought in in the winter transfer window. Manchester United already has 4 lists of pure attackers to replace Christiano Ronaldo. and Ronaldo and the Red Devils' contracts ended sooner than planned. Reportedly, both parties have agreed to end their cooperation. according to journalist Rudy Galletti's report, Man United is currently monitoring four players who are on the shopping list to replace Ronaldo's position. they are, Ivan Toney, Noah Okator, Marcus Thuram and the most prioritized is Cody Gakpo who is currently still playing with SPV.

Ten Hag really needs a pure striker to sharpen United's attack line. throughout this season, United have faced problems on the front lines, which lack sharpness. IMO, Cody Gakpo is the most ideal for the Ten Hag style of play. at least Manchester United will compete with Arsenal who are also targeting this PSV striker.

Yeah United desperately does need a reliable striker. Gakpo is a big name now with his form in World Cup and I am sure there will be lot of clubs after him now. He is gonna cost a lot for United if they are to really go after him. I like another name in that list which is Toney. Brentford striker has been the reason behind Bees success and he leads the attack very well. Furthermore he has PL experience as well so I would say bringing Toney will be a very good deal for United.
