Well.. a lot of players have been called “the next Messi” throughout the years.
But nobody actually has been able to live up to the expectation. I think this is just another case like that.
Actually, I don't think even Barcelona is currently expecting a lot from him. Because there is no point in keeping an overhyped player who is not contributing to the team anymore.

Well, he definitely still has a chance. But I don't think it is a good idea for anyone to count on that. The idea of him again showing good performance and naturally becoming better than the players which he was compared to once is a little too optimistic. And it is better to treat a player based on his form, not on how good of a player he will probably be one day. So it is probably a good idea for Barcelona, who are in financial trouble, to sell him at this moment.

I want to seriously see him win the Champions League because Mbape is talented to almost win the World Cup twice for France but I don't understand why you think PSG will not win the Champions League. Past years, PSG had Messi, Neymar and Mbape with couple of other good center back and they didn't win the Champions League but now with just minority of the team, they are now in the quarter final and Mbape is among the top players with the highest goal in the Champions League, if they put effort, they might have a chance.

There is nothing here that Mbape is chasing, what I'm seeing is a player that is good and there is demand from many clubs and where there is high demand for a player, there must be a high price for highest bidder, that's what football is all about. PSG has spent a lot of money on him and he is an investment to them which they will make sure they must get back what they have spent and is even the more reason why they never allow him to be a free agent, they want to sell him and not just let him go like that.

What I can't stop thinking about is when Paris Saint Germain act as if Mbappe is bigger than them, it's like they're begging this player to stay and play for them. As a club I see this as something that is not wise at all, even though they are a rich team that can spend that much money on a player, still if they want they can get a player who can replace Mbappe.
They should let Mbappe go, indeed he has a lot of influence on the team's play, but that's only limited to Ligue 1, while in the Champions League I'm not sure they will succeed in becoming champions this season because they have Mbappe. Sometimes good performance is not judged from goal contributions alone but how well the player performs in matches, he might not have scored much or assisted as expected but his contribution on the pitch might be enough to consider him a threat plus we all know he is a good scorer as well and i think for a player who went through a lot his performance and goal contributions so far while playing for smaller team is enough to know how good he is and if given time he might grow into a great player. He is a good driver when with the ball and dangerous from long range shots and as a Winger he is far better than some wingers in some big teams at the moment. I am not a fan of Greenwood but when i see talent i try to appreciate them.

I agree that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have wingers as good as him but if the club wants a player then they might have their own reasons and I don’t see anything bad in having multiple alternatives.

However, it certainly won't be easy to convince the Spanish coach because he is still focused with PSG on developing the existing squad further.

So I don't think Barcelona will be able to convince him to come back quickly, but if Barcelona still hopes he will come then it might take a long time. We know that his responsibility is still huge after being contracted by PSG last season, but his contract will also end in 2025. So, if his contract with PSG has ended, it is possible that Barcelona could offer a contract to bring back Luis Enrique, but that is if PSG does not extend his contract at the end of the season.

Manchester United are so lucky to have Kobbie Mainoo in the team, he's young and have already doing the top jobs. I don't doubt Enrique but I just have a little doubt after remembering that when Enrique tried to set up a new strategy without Mbappe presence the results were very bad, only ending in a draw several times.

When I read the report that Barcelona is currently trying to convince Luis Enrique to take over the managerial position at the club after the end of the current season when the club's current manager Xavi Hernandez will leave the club, I didn't take it serious because to me, I feel Luis Enrique will never want to leave his current club Paris Saint Germaine and go to manage a club like Barcelona that's currently in deep financial crises. At his current club, Luis Enrique is provided with some of the best quality players in Europe which will make his work easier so leaving Paris Saint Germaine after just one season at the club I don't think will be possible.
Barcelona management should search for a manager that's currently not working for a big club or a top manager that's not without a club at the moment and not a manager that's managing the current biggest club in france.m because I don't think they're ever gonna succeed with that.

Yamal is a great player there is no doubt about that and if you can convince him and keep him for 15+ seasons then you can, there is technically nothing wrong with that. This is the thing I do not understand about teams keeping their young talents.

But, we are talking about someone you can charge maybe as high as 100 million euro for, and considering how much debt Barcelona has, that's not an amount of money they can ignore, I think they should seriously consider selling him. Not saying that they can, maybe they won't find anyone willing to pay that much, in that case they do not have to sell and they could just consider keeping him, but they should keep their ears open. If anyone offers that high, they should be able to sell.
