Darren Fletcher seems to be the caretaker manager for Manchester United now. But who's going to be be in charge of the team up next you think?

Solskjær like in the rumours or someone else? I mean I really don't see any better future for this team no matter who takes the job. The squad is weak. Nothing like the real Manchester United we know. A big transformation is which they need now.

When Man U sacked Ruben Amorim Fletcher was appointed as caretaker manager. At least he will manage the team for the next few match while the club authority will decide their next plan

In my opinion the rumor about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are nothing but nonsense as far as I know United are already in talk with Solskjaer and Michael Carrick to become interim coach. The news inside the club is that they always have a thought to bring one of their legend back to the dugout. Moreover the current plan is that Fletcher will remain in charge for the time being and the club may wait until next summer to find a permanent boss. Oliver Glazner or some other are also on this list. So bro nothing is certain yet Fletcher is in charge for the time being but who will be in the long term can change anytime based on the result

I have these to say here...
1. Alex Ferguson is an exceptional Manchester United coach, but after him, we also had 2 good coaches; Mourinho and Ole.
2. Amorim is not a good coach, or lemme say he is not fit to handle a club like Manchester United. I wonder how he tricked them and sustained himself for this long.
3. Manchester United needs a world class and a proven coach like Jürgen Klopp and Zidane. They don't need to experiment any further.

Alex Ferguson spent four years at Manchester United before winning his first trophy, which was the FA Cup in 1990. He helped Manchester United finish second after two years. Ruben Amorim deserves more time. My take is that the young coach would have been given till the end of the season to prove himself. I agree that Amorim doesn't have the capacity to manage a big club like the Red Devils, but he could have built capacity over time.

The two coaches you mentioned are unavailable. Jürgen Klopp is comfortable with his job as the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull. Zinedine Zidane is waiting to take over the French national team coach position after the World Cup. Current coach Didier Deschamps will be leaving after the World Cup.

What does Amorim have that made you have high hopes for him? He's left behind only the worst records for the team in their history. Manchester United are constantly experimenting with coaches, trying to choose from some questionable options, but that's currently in keeping with their level, they've become a middling team in the Premier League, it's hard to call them a top team anymore. Do you think they'll choose a better manager this time?
For how long will they continue with that experiment? I think the question should be how many good managers are out there? And not whether Manchester united will be able to choose better manager. The likes of Eric Ten Hang, Solksjaer or Pottechino are out there without job but can any of them succeed at Manchester United? The truth is Manchester United current squad are very average and even well experienced coach will find it difficult to succeed with them. As for sacking Amorin, they did nothing but right because that's what he deserves and every working club with a vision will do the same thing.
Sacking Ruben Amorim is the best decision ever taken by the Manchester United management this year no doubt like what exactly can we count of Ruben Amorim? Like absolutely nothing he ended the league in 15th place last season lost an Europa League finals to Tottenham Hotspurs like Tottenham Hotspurs break their record with Manchester United not even any smaller teams but Manchester United such an embarrassment, then this season what exactly can he show for maybe to say he deserves not to be sacked? Like he should just go back to Sporting CP where he came from.
For now, this seems like the right decision for Manchester United because we haven't seen any good statistics from this manager, you are right that this team lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa Cup final, in fact he led this team last season too but the team was almost in the relegation zone. Anyway, we can already see that this team has sacked this incompetent manager but now it remains to be seen which worthy manager this club will hire. There are various rumours on this matter because I am hearing different names like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about who will be the manager of United because this Norwegian player has experience playing for this team and was the manager of this team before, so maybe this Norwegian player could become the caretaker manager of this team.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Manchester United advance in positive talks over caretaker manager role. As revealed yesterday, Ole wants the job and he’s a serious candidate with talks well underway. No issues on contract lenght. Ole is ready to say YES.

Something really needs to change in the team, and I think a young manager would be good for that. Of course, this person needs to stay with the team for a few seasons; it wouldn't work if they left after losing 3-5 games. I think they need to create a consistent and long-term plan

Truth is, whatever this current Manchester United becomes tomorrow, it all lies in the hands of th board members/owner. imo, I think part of the problems that this current team is facing, is also coming from the board(i.e those at the top). There have been some terrible mismanagement in the past few seasons. We've seen cases of players that are not even good enough, receiving high wages, while not playing like someone who receives one. This same board are also fund of employing managers, and also not giving them good timeframe to transform the team. The English premier League is not just any league that any random manager can dominate, without feeling the hard side of it. Even if anyone manages to perform well in his first season or second, there is a strong chance that the other seasons might eventually become a living hell, and we've seen that with a couple of Managers over the years.

So I agree with you. It's best for these teams to start with a long term plan(process). Trusting it might be very difficult, but I guess it might eventually pay off with time. As long as we only have one pep, other managers should be given enough time to build their squad.

I think few people would want to take charge of United now, given the constant change of coaches.

We are talking about huge money involved here so alot of coaches would probably love to take a shot because even if they get sacked before their contract ends, they will still get a compensation for that but given the current circumstances its gonna be hard to actually get someone reputable to manage the club. Its always hard to find a replacement mid season and most of the time even if we get it, its not gonna change a thing

Gabriel Paulista has left the team. All the reporters were saying Felix Uduokhai would be leaving, but Gabi's departure came as a surprise. He made a sad announcement, saying he wanted to return to his country for family reasons. I think the player is justified and I commend Beşiktaş for being understanding. Beşiktaş may now need to sign 2 new center backs. If Felix leaves too, they'll only have Emirhan and Djalo left. The upside is that it frees up a spot in the foreign player quota, so they can bring in players from all over the world.

Manchester United will actually have Managers that will want to sign for them regardless of how bad the situation is because of the size of the club. Currently now, Manchester United are in a search of interim manager and probably get a permanent manager by the end of the season or during the summer. The club has listed some players with the likes of their past players in contention. I think the return of Ole is actually eminent as the man is seriously trying to fight his way back to actually maybe rewrite history.

This team actually needs an experienced manager and not a young manager because the dressing room needs one of those managers to actually put some players into their players, young managers easily fall out with players and it wouldn’t be good for the club at this moment

]But sacking the coach in the middle of the competition and don't forget that currently Manchester United are in the standings which are actually still quite good compared to before that is a condition that could refer to gambling in decision making.

It is never too late to sack a bad coach. He should have been sacked since, but it's better they sack him now than keep him to destroy the team even further. He has been too horrible to remain at the club. I think after last season, the club wanted to see how much he could do if he was given the time, so they signed some players for him, but none of those players have improved. He has to go.

Manchester United should calm down and look for a very experienced and elite manager. It wouldn't be bad if they stick to an interim manager till the end of the season. They ca use the second half of the season and scout for a better manager. They can lure Nagelsmann away from Germany after the world cup, or even try to get Luis Enrique at the end of the season. I believe things will be easier for them if they get the right manager.

The problem might not even be how experienced the coach is or was but rather not giving the catches enough time to build a winning team. They have hired some elite coaches in the past but ended up sacking them anyway.
Just look at how patient Arsenal has tried to be with Mikel Arteta and from the looks of things, they are about to reap from the years of patience

If Manchester United believes that simply having a good manager will solve the problem, I think they are wrong, because it's not right to look for the problem solely in the manager. The players also make many mistakes, and it's not fair to blame every negative result on the manager.
Amorim shouldn’t be blamed alone for Manchester United poor performance, but when a team isn’t performing well, then the coach is the one that’s going to take larger percent of the blame. I know Manchester United main problem isn’t the coach, I feel the management are also suppose to be blamed, I don’t know how Manchester United will solve the management issue which they are having, but let’s see how their performance will be when they sign a new coach. Since Amorim joined Manchester United, no improvement in the team, so am fully in support of him leaving the team.

Managers losing jobs in the Premier league is becoming so easy and the price for these labour turnovers means more time needed for team chemistry to be built and more time needed for the manager to know his team.. Otherwise , with Amorim being the latest casualty, am hoping that they get a manager that has being following this United side and will put the broken pieces together to create a functional team.. I hear Ole is already among the shortlisted candidates for the job  Roll Eyes

Surely it had already been discussed in this thread! Maybe I'm late to the party.
Cancelo was on the verge of transferring to Inter, but in the end he chose to go to Barcelona! For obvious reasons, I would say!
What a shame! I would have loved to see him return to Inter.

This team needs a young and different manager. Although the player quality isn't terrible, the team is in a very bad state; they bear no resemblance to the legendary Manchester United of the past. Something really needs to change in the team, and I think a young manager would be good for that. Of course, this person needs to stay with the team for a few seasons; it wouldn't work if they left after losing 3-5 games. I think they need to create a consistent and long-term plan

This team actually needs an experienced manager and not a young manager because the dressing room needs one of those managers to actually put some players into their players, young managers easily fall out with players and it wouldn’t be good for the club at this moment
I doubt this because whoever the coach is when the club management is still the same I don't think it will have a big impact on the progress of Manchester United because since SAF's departure until now a lot of experienced coaches have come and gone but all of them have failed at Manchester United.
Names like Mou, Van Gaal, David Moyes and even Ole and Ten Haag also have very good experience in their coaching careers but all of them were destroyed at Manchester United and even their careers actually declined as happened to Ten Hag.

So in this case I think it is not a factor of who the coach is but to the club management. When club management is poor from attention to players and coaches then everything will be the same there will be no really significant changes to this.

In my opinion, Solskjær is suitable to be appointed as an interim coach, as he has a thorough understanding of Manchester United. He is a former player and has also previously served as the club manager, so his adaptation process would be easier and quicker. However, for the long term, Manchester United must look for a truly high quality manager, especially if they want to return to glory in the Premier League.

There are internal problems at the club and I'm not sure how management can so easily fire a manager, even though Manchester United is currently in much better shape. Amorim has successfully led Manchester United to a better position in the standings, but the decision to fire him was too hasty. Solskjær is indeed a short-term solution, but management needs to consider how to bring in a coach who understands the club's philosophy, as Manchester United has now lost its identity and is becoming a mediocre team.

I agree with because the team has been nothing to write home about with him in charge. Bad results week in week out except in some few occasions that he won back to back matches. So many games they should have won but fail to do so, sacking him is the best option, let them look for another serious manager that will manage the team let's see if they will start having some positive results.

Vest decision or not, that means in a few months Manchester United have to start from zero. Once again. New manager, new players, sell players they just bought, it's always the same story over and over. Every single year. Maybe the management should take a look at Alex Ferguson's story with United, I'm sure they have no idea after how many years he won the first trophy with United... They could learn a few things from this story.

Not bad ideas, appointing Solksjaer as interim manager for awhile before Manchester United reach deal with new permanent manager because Solskjaer know well about the looking room of team. So far the management have appointed the Manchester United player former Daren Flecther become the interim manager and the management still not giving official announcement how many matches later using the interim manager.

However during winter window transfer has many day left, Manchester United must appoint permanent manager and easily to sign new players based on his tactician, seems getting internal problem and players difficult for adapting well if have change several manager for few weeks or months later. Many rumor linked Solskjaer will back to be Manchester United manager but waiting the official announcement from management who will be the next manager for replacing Ruben Amorim's position?

I was looking at some chart of who has done what and something that caught my eye was the winning percentages some of the past managers have had, and I was surprised that the special one topped the chart but the man was flashed out like he had done nothing ..but of course going forward I think the house needs some bold enough to put the house back in order or at the least has played for the club to get it back into that state of mind..
