Curious, how do you import wallet.dat -> I've done it with btc but for some reason and this may entirely be because my new laptop is win10; but it won't allow me to access the location for btx's wallet.

I understand there is no import wallet icon on the bitcore wallet. Maybe DEV should take note on this issue. Just FYI, you cannot import btc wallet.dat to bitcore wallet because both are a different thing.

As how to import the BTX wallet.dat, u can do it manually by paste you wallet.dat at you BTX appdata windows folder. To do so, make sure to close your bitcore wallet and go to:
1) C drive at my computer.
2) Click user
3) Click your " PC Name "
4)Click Appdata
5)Click Roaming
6) Click Bitcore, delete the existing wallet.dat file and paste your desired BTX wallet.dat file.

Kinda sad with this community where they only focus on the airdrop when there is many other question regarding this coin.

Hmm, won't show me that part on my new laptop; although I got it to work on my old one /hatewindows10

And yeah I love the project just have a few things that need to be updated lol

Have you try to run as admin in windows10

I have today start the first full nodes with Segwit support. -uacomment=UASF-Segwit-BIP148.

Supporting Segwit on BTX by UASF

Info about UASF here http://www.uasf.co/

1. Please download Bitcore Core here: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases (It isn't a new version)

2. You will be prompted to choose a directory to store the Bitcore blockchain and your wallet. Click OK to use default. And 'Allow access' if windows firewall pops up.

3. Bitcore Core will begin to download the block chain. This step will take some time. (You can stop Bitcore Core at any time by closing it; it will resume from the point where it stopped the next time you start it.)

4. Now, to signal #BIP148 (UASF) on Windows, you need to edit the shortcut properties of Bitcore Core by right clicking the application, going to Properties, and changing the Shortcut Target to:

"C:\Program Files\Bitcore\Bitcore-qt.exe" -uacomment=UASF-Segwit-BIP148

or and recommend (NEW )

Code:
bitcore.conf
uacomment=BIP8
uacomment=UASF-SegWit-BIP149
uacomment=UASF-SegWit-BIP148

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/69xkvv/understanding_bip149_redeployment_of_segwit_with/

Also, Port 9333 must be open on your router otherwise your node will not be connected to by peers

Windows: %APPDATA%\Bitcore\
Mac: $HOME/Library/Application Support/Bitcore/
Linux: $HOME/.bitcore/

i thought segwit was already active on btx

We need here only the final step.

SegWit is now active on pool - http://neonpool.sytes.net

Miners welcome.

Good job . I will join it and get some coins for trading . Thanks.
Let me know if anyone is facing any issue connecting to the pool. Pool hash rate is low now - more miners are welcome to join and help pool find blocks more frequently. Please remember to use workers if you are planning to connect from multiple rigs using same address so that you can monitor each rig separately on miner details page.

People probably bought pocorn and watch in awe as the current crypto-market is exploding beyond Saturn right now.
At least i did. Wink

BTX is a very young project, that means you can make a difference by spreading the word. Or maybe suggeting ideas to the devs. Make sure to check out the slack channel!
Personally I was pretty busy during the last week. I'm not a dev, though.

Get educated about Bitcoin. Check out Andreas Antonopoulos on Youtube. An old but gold talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc744Z9IjhY

Daniel Schmachtenberger on The Meta-Crisis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kBoLVvoqVY&t=288s One of the most important talks about the current state of this planet. Go check it out.

Question about miner executable file.

I saw 3 CGMINERs for download and only one works and one is showing a trojan virus warning.

1 - imineblocks have this one for download:

on the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTukbd-P4cE

http://imineblocks.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/ccminer-btx-timetravel-imineblocks.zip

This one works, but in a test bench with a old 970 is showing 8 MHs

2- https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases/tag/v2.0-tpruvot

This one does not work but shows 12MHs on the same old 970

3 - suprnova pool show this link  http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/

but the cgminer keep flashing alerts on the antivirus.

Can someone help me to understand why the tpruvot link miner is not working? it keeps saying booooo to me Smiley

Thanks

In my pool help page I've updated the ccminer link to tpruvot's version. I believe that is the latest stable ccminer for Bitcore mining. You can try it as below on my pool (worker is optional if you have multiple rigs to monitor):

ccminer-x64.exe -a bitcore -o stratum+tcp://neonpool.sytes.net:4008 -u <your-wallet-address>.<your-worker-name> -p x

Maybe you can try this version - https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases/tag/2.0-rc3
Personally I haven't tried that to confirm.

If it was they didn't pre-announce it on their twitter account.

We investigate it already, but of course we are waiting for bitcoin move. If Bitcoin Team, maybe decide different, than we all think, then we discuss it. So lets wait for the next steps of bitcoin!
