Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone.

Yeah that's a cool idea you have gambling for fun but you can't prevent a person to gamble for more than fun of what he has in his bank roll. Lossing most of your bets in a game is a deep stress of your mind and I don't see it as a fun anymore, but could result to a lot of frustrations that's some persons decides to leave the game alone. Well of course the funds has been gone already wasted for several bets invested in a gambling games played.

As I believe gambling addiction is one of the hardest problems to stop like another addiction, it came out when you're in lose. Then sick and frustrated, that's normal and immediately planning to leave, but not much easier. Take it fun not a passion. Because there a little number of people who gain with gambling.

I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

You could start thinking about it because even with limitations, you could make yourself hard on it like you might feel the urge to play more. I hope that you wouldn't go that far. I think people should not stop on only  thinking that gambling is for fun.  If kept uncheck you can still lose a huge amount of money even if you are playing not for profit and only for fun.  People, including me, should limit their selves in playing gambling games.  They should keep themselves on check and have a good bankroll management.  Know when to stop to avoid huge loses while entertaining themselves.

That's gonna be your fault if you fail to discipline yourself. You know that your actions should be responsible and know how you are going to deal with it. It's not easy to stop yourself because it's you and that's the hardest enemy to have.

I respect the OP's decision to quit too. Hopefully he will stand by his word, because many gambling addicts just say the words but never actually quit. I really wish OP had serious intentions when he was writing his post and I wish he will have strength to abstain from gambling in the future.

TL;DR of the OP was that he realized that things are not going too well for him. I was at the same boat with him back then. I tried a lot of gambling strategies but none of them actually worked. Martingale, paroli, you name them. I even learned a little bit of javascript just to be able to make my very own scripts as well as modify the existing scripts available on the Internet.

Gambling just never helped people like us. The only people that had help from gambling are the ones that are running gambling sites and there's not much of them in here. Take a look at Shorena, he owns Primedice and he's making good money from it. RHavar, also a member of this forum, owns BustaBit. Both have made success from gambling. But that's just because they weren't the ones gambling. They are the ones you're betting against and we all know you can never win from the house.

Indeed, as early as possible we should not rely on gambling because gambling will lead you only to lose even if you say that its just for fun. Gambling is not a profitable activity and you must remember tha gambling is not also the way to entertain yourself. Don't let gambling ruin your life. Spending the whole day gambling seems to be an addiction on my point of view, and may i offer a piece of advise, when you are in dire need of money, don't think you will be able to raise the money you need through gambling, that's the time when you are going to lose very heavily. I have lost some money but am still gambling, that's not gonna keep me down.

Indeed, as early as possible we should not rely on gambling because gambling will lead you only to lose even if you say that its just for fun. Gambling is not a profitable activity and you must remember tha gambling is not also the way to entertain yourself. Don't let gambling ruin your life. Almost anything could lead to addiction, some people just have more of a tendancy to get addicted than other people.

I think its easier said than done mate. I also try your strategy way back, by doing sound management. But unfortunately, when everything is on the line, your judgement will be clouded and all you want to do is to win or recover what you have lost. it would probably be a lot better to consider quitting. everyone would be saying that you have to control your emotions to be safe and to minimize losses but i think all gambler knows that already.
