Any news updates on Bismuth? Also, any plans to get Bismuth added to any new exchanges? Twitter is also down still. Starting to get a little worried.

ANN still has old Twitter link.

This is a new Twitter.

As i stated before, i have gpu miner. I've purchased from anoher user here and it cost a lot. However, at the moment, i stopped my gpus while it is not worth to run gpus. Because market seems already dead and i have enough bismuth.

Anyway, i am ready to sell miner to serious offer. Last time i post sell offer here, funny offers had been came and i did not sell. Once again, i try another shot to sell.

Pm me with your serious offers.

Cannot verify this is legit. Use escrow if you are dealing with anyone selling you "software".

Difficulty is very high. Maybe it's not "money machine" today. But be carefull is right.

someone is killing the Network each day and is instaminig during that Time, do the Devs do something about that? each day around 15:00 GMT+1 it is happening, guy in Slack is claiming that he is doining it.

Well this looks fun, is that a glitch in hash calculation or is that a GPU miner? That hashrate you'd need a pretty big botnet.

I think, it looks like this guy is dumping the price at any price from his mined coins.

In fact thats the reason because the price of Bismuth is not increasing, that guy is dumping every single BIS that get from mining.....at least thats good for those that are hardly accumulating BIS waiting for the explosion.
No need to be worried, team works day by day, twitter is up and running, in 2 days we have a 1K bis giveaway and the block 340K is around the corner.

What is supposed to change with Block 340.000? Halving or some new Diff things?

I am the guy. And no, price is decreasing not because of me. I'm actually fighting for bismuth price on cryptopia quite a lot.

In any case, I've got no chance to drop the value of Bismuth, because alltogether our pool mined only around 1300 coins. Dumping the price with that? I won't even be able to cover server bill so far. And look into the transaction, the author of Bismuth outgoing transactions count up to around 185000(yes, that's 185 thousands) coins already.

Going back to the hashrate, I've started a pool for some friends of mine. It's CPU mining, but on an optimized client, currently giving out around 2.2 times more than optihash miner(and I hope to optimize it more). At the moment, I'm having huge troubles even running a node properly, because it constantly takes all the cpu of whatever huge server I give it and also keeps rolling blocks backwards once in a (very short) while, so unless I do some live testing, it dumps all the hashrate to optipool, because I don't want to risk that much power/hashrate. In any case, I hope I will be able to resolve the issues soon, because optipool is clearly not doing it's job, being offline at least 1/10 of the time and having 10sec/504 stats page.

And, GOD, cryptopia balance is 1628k, but still you're going to blame it on 1300 coin-total pool.

What basicly happens every day is that the diff algo forgets the blocks 24h ago from the "instamine" and realizes, shit i dont reach my 1440 blocks per day goal, it then drops the diff until it hits the 70 hardcap, at that point almost everyone can instamine and its a lottery, 70 diff is 6.8 MH total net hashrate.

This stays for a while since blocks coming in and forgetting old ones are roughly at the same speed and after an hour it has caught up, diff for the rest of the day is fucked since we got like 700 blocks in an hour isntead of 60.

Easiest fix would probably to increase the time the diff algo looks back, it should correct itself over time this way but afaik the dev is already on a fix, not sure which one tho.

I guess it all started with the guy(s) who attacked the chain but from there it kept itself alive without any attacks.

I didn't check how long the run goes, but 2 and 3 days ago all of such blocks were mined by a single person.

Most blocks since the diff min 70 update at block 340000 went to the acc pool
Code:
select count(reward), sum(reward), recipient from transactions join misc on transactions.block_height = misc.block_height where reward > 0 and difficulty = 70.0 group by recipient

Blocks, Reward, Address

Those guys got a few too

Before that with diff 45 whoever those others are got a bit more but the pool still won by far.

But basicly the pool is the winner and the drop is always about an hour since it forgets old blocks, needs new ones at the same speed and once all old "fast ones" are forgotten it returns back to too high diff.

By the way the fix i see in on the testnode won't change jack...at least it didn't fork yesterday so nodes will just stay on it and the diff drop is a "natural" occurence which benefits everyone because if it isn't forking you are on the right chain and your odds increase dramasticly.

Please Update to Bismuth 4.1.0 before block 346000.

https://github.com/hclivess/Bismuth/releases/tag/4.1.0

-Hardfork at block 346000
-Multi-version support, customizable
-Banned peers can be pre-set in config.txt
-Ban reset can be configured
-Flexible difficulty floor built on median of the past 24h blocks
-Emergency diff drop ignores soft floor, but happens only after 10 minutes
-Hard difficulty floor raised to 90
-Testnet database streamlined

Also a RT will be appreciated, thanks!

I honestly think 90 is too high and the real diff is more around 80-85ish and you won't hit your 1440 blocks per day but we will see, its a crude solution and the first few days will be rough.

Changing the watchback to 2 days would fix the problem aswell but hey...

We got some epic forking going on, acc pool and bismuth.online are on different chains, cryptopia probably gave up -.- i wonder which chain will prevail.

We had one or two diffdrop sniper showing up which made it way more unstable than yesterday.
