I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Who would be the add buyer?  Grin
Community?

Theoretically it would be fun to have a small project which would advertise BTC from cryptos gathered from community but only for fun, otherwise i cant see the point of it.

It is ok if bitcoin will advertising on tv and thats the time that bitcoin will became known or popular in everybody, but it takes a years to fully understand of people because they have many people dont know what is bitcoin all about. Theres a possibility also that the illegal transactions like drags will be join or use in bitcoin. If that case happen maybe the government take action about that.

TV can be a good medium for reaching large bitcoin users but running tv ads will cost so much and nobody wants to pay money out of their pockets.

It is nearly impossible. Bitcoin is not yet legally accepted in some countries and if we advertise it on air there will be a great danger for it to be banned.

I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Then a lot would be interested in investing bitcoins even if they aren't tech-savvy. A lot would actually buy bitcoins and hold and wait for the price to rise and then sell immediately. A lot would even think of using bitcoins on a daily basis like normal money. Even buy a some sort of terminal for bitcoin transactions.

If we advertise bitcoin on tv, expect that all people who will watch it will be encourage to join. I think it would be great because they will invest on bitcoin.

I agree with you that the internet is enough to advertise bitcoin because there is a lot of people in the internet and advertising it using the internet will just result for having a lot of people to notice it and to know bitcoin as a great cryptocurrency and it is not also that pricey to just advertise bitcoin in the internet because with just a few bucks then you can advertise it.

TV can be good media to reach wide range of possible bitcoin users but running tv ads will cost so much and nobody want to pay those money from their pocket.

There will be no any incentive for the one who will pay for those ads. However I think we may see some tv ads in near future from bitcoin related local services in few countries to promote their services.

Yes, i agree. Most people have television in their house so if they are going to advertise bitcoin in tv, many people will surely receive its message and will  be curious about it. Along with the influence of media, i think people will know how to use it and if that happens, more people will surely invest in it. More opportunities will be given by bitcoin and i am sure that its value will increase.

That's actually a good thing to increase the value of bitcoin. I watched a video in youtube and it says the more people that invests in bitcoin, the higher the value of bitcoin can get. But don't you think it's quite dangerous? Is the government okay with it?

So far, I haven't seen any TV ads showing bitcoin related matter, But I believe that is likely to come sooner. That's because some services accepting bitcoin as payment might be willing to include bitcoin in their ads. When this happened, these services will be able to attract bitcoin users to avail their services and products

If bitcoin is advertised on the tv it is a better., because more and more people will ask about bitcoin. and for me there are lots of things to do with it because they want to earn money with the computer. and they'll trust it because it's right from advertisement tv, it's better to really advertise it on the tv. and it would be better if the actor was to advertise it.

As I told some time ago in Russia we see bitcoin indirectly davertised every day on central TV channels, and now I can say that such an advertising is growing more and more..

Not only RBC - the TV channel for businessmen is broadcasting BTC and blockchain industry news, but also other channels for common audience can not ignore the growing interest and make reports and even films about BTC, cryptocurrency and blockchain..

I`m smiling when I watch how they just repeat word to word which I already seen on Youtube Roll Eyes

We're past the stage of seeking publicity this way. Bitcoin gets tons of mainstream media coverage on regular basis, see press board.
Also, with the current state of affairs, Bitcoin is hard to present in a way appealing to the masses. It's slow, expensive, not-so-much-anonymous and decentralisation is constantly being questioned. The only attractive side, from the average Joe's point of view, is probably price going up, giving opportunity for easy gains ..
