EOS rising from the ashes like a phoenix. I sold what I had on margin but plan on holding the rest for a very long time. The potential of EOS is hard to wrap your head around. Similar to Eth but without many of the flaws

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hi all, I have my eos still on bitfinex and want to move them off. Is there any advantage to keeping them on there? Can I store my eos on my ledger nano? Thank!

Yes you want to get them off the exchange and onto your nano. Be sure to register the address you send them to, then when the snapshot happens you will be swapped out for the EOS on the EOS blockchain vs the Eth blockchain

There is still nothing build from EOS side and too much fund raised. I hope this will not turn to scam.

Have to admit that although BM is very greedy, but this guy's programming ability in the industry should be within TOP3, and even founder of ETH V are BM fans, this is indeed very good, while BM basically promised things will do To, such as BTS's story is at hand.

What is the difference between the EOS tokens at the current ongoing ICO and at the Exchanges?

As far as I know, there is no difference other than on exchange you know the price you will get ahead of time, through the tokensale it depends on how much eth is put in each period.  You can buy either and once you have them in your wallet you can register them as your own for EOS snapshot.
I am in the US so have to buy mine on the exchange as the token sale is not for Americans.

I wonder when more people will realize that EOS is a scam.

very shady terms if anyone bothered to read them... lost all my respect out there.
I couldn't find anything that suggests that EOS is a scam. Sure it looks like Dan Larimer just making profit off the gigantic ICO that they are holding and the whole platform seems to be an integration of Steem + Bitshares, but then, it's up to the investors whether or not they're interested and want to invest.

My EOS tokens are already being shown in myetherwallet and I already see the token symbol as well as the amount that I have. Based on that does it mean that they have been registered? How can I verify if they are registered?

EOS is an innovative coin, we need to give him a few years, if we can achieve, we can get a considerable return, after all, this is a great project! Roll Eyes

A few years? That's the good thing: Dan is always quite fast with releasing his projects. Only 1,5 week to go until the testnet. That one already allows 10K transactions per second:

https://medium.com/@eosforumorg/the-eos-testnet-is-here-in-1-month-heres-what-to-expect-2ef546cac6f1

Next to that they are ahead of schedule:

https://medium.com/@eosforumorg/eos-development-ahead-of-schedule-92dba5958535

And next to that contracts can be written in C++ which is a well known programming language. So dApp-devs could test their stuff in the coming weeks and months only to go live with the EOS blockchain in June.

Hey guys. Is it true that EOS tokens could be "rented out" in future? I.e. if a company wanted EOS tokens to utilise the network, they could rent the tokens rather than purchase them

EOS is a project that surprised me. The future he described makes me dream of letting me see the future of cryptocurrency, but the difficulty of realizing it is also considerable.

I thought about investing in EOS when it was only presented, but now I see that because of such an ICO model and enormous supply the price by the end of ICO should be much lower. So it could be reasonable to invest closer to the end.

As for the whole project, it is great and I hope that implementation would start as soon as it is possible. Who knows how many great projects will start soon and what place EOC will take there.

Did you get your tokens through crowdsale? Exchange? If exchange, did you register them?

I recommend this site: Www.eoscollective.org

Go to resources tab then “crowdsale and registering page” - there’s a link for an article that’ll show you how to cofirm confirm registration through MEW if it’s already been done. And if it’s not, the first link on that page is sandwich’s complete guide. Step 3 of the time guide is the registration process.
