They banned me from slack - that says everything. I was not rude in the slack channel and i did not insult anyone - i only stated that i´ll file a lawsuit against the nvo team and the escrow.

By the way:
I´ve saved everything posted in that slack channel since December 2017 - so i don´t care that they banned me (to prevent me from collecting evidence maybe?)
i reported to the police yesterday and handed everything (Screenshots, Posts, the Slack Conversations, Bitcoin-Wallet Adresses, the Names of the Bordmembers, the "names" of the escrow) to them and to my lawyer today who made contact to a lawyer which handled such cases before - none of the nvo board members tried to contact me yet to clarify anything and change my mind.

So, let´s see what happens.

What deluded fools are actually voting to continue with this and why?Do they expect to be rewarded for their misguided loyalty or have they confused the address they are sending their voting tokens to?

On another note I have had some on topic posts I made on this thread deleted.

There's no need for articles when you seen the team have spend, according to them, about 500 BTC on development. In a year. The product of which is a buggy but beautiful wallet that is enough to secure the milestone. Anyone with some sense of software development can tell you what a load of bullshit that is, people without programming experience are already super skeptical of the amount of money spent compared to the work delivered.

Can you imagine how the progress made looks from the eyes of a full-stack developer? "Pathetic." isn't enough, it's worse than that.

I wish I could just claim this is an exit scam, but I can't be sure. Part of me hopes this is an exit-scam, otherwise it means they were completely incompetent. And that I fell for it.

Yeah sure! I work in a web-development company - with the funds worth 500 bitcoins our programmers would finish a fully functional operating system in a year. (Okay, i am a bit sarcastic, but i think with this amount of money you can hire 50 top programmers which would have finished this "little" project in no time)

A bitcoin core developer has already told me they could have farted out what has been developed here for less than $10k in the space of 1 month and that's a while back so lets say just over 1.5 BTC at the time quoted.

Precisely. But with NVO it was a slow painful diarrhea. I'm not sure we will ever learn the truth about some inside stories, just waiting on the refund.

Lauda, what are the criteria for you to proceed with the vote results? It seemed that the weighted vote is more or less decided, but I guess there is some official time to follow. Feels like any day now, but no new information on the horizon coming.

Issues are not uncommon; read into the MobileGO link that I've posted here.

Criteria is mostly time. The vote was planned for a duration of two weeks; 1 week to go.

decentralized exchange is increasingly gaining momentum in popularity! the demand for such projects grows constantly, the more people join the crypto world, the more customers appear in decentralized exchanges! the project will have a good opportunity to gain a foothold in the crypto market! good luck to the project!

DEX with profit sharing via dividends for investors is a great idea. But given the collapse of leadership (that maybe was never there to start with) NVO isn't the project to bet your ponies on anymore. Not to mention when this was started it was one of the very few, if not the only, universal DEX in conception. However, they have failed to capitalize on their head start and looks like they will be superseded by other projects with similar concepts who have better management. I was hoping they'd make it to the finish line but it doesn't appear to be in the cards.

I'm curious why people would vote no to a refund when the CEO has said he wants to continue this project in a different fashion.  The magic dex code doesn't exist and the wallet is the only deliverable.  Nothing is being worked on right now.  So why say you don't want a refund?

I'll look it up. Ok, so time it is. I'll just leave this story for a week. By the way if a certain threshold is crossed, shouldn't you just finalize the vote? Since there is no mathematical chance for it to turn around kind of thing?

Why people are voting in a certain way is unclear, especially big holders that split voted.

Yes, that is possible although I don't think we can reach that threshold unless people actively try to seek out holders that have not voted.

You want them to change the terms of the vote?  You do realize the community is on edge and votes are still coming in?

Calm your tits, he/she only said what I suggested is possible. There is no change in the process, the vote is unlikely to reach those thresholds I spoke of because the activity is low, but currently the majority of the votes (weighted) are for a refund. We are talking about 4:1 ratio with more than a week passing, the community isn't on edge at all.

What are you on about?

I was simply referring to a point where the vote has crossed the minimal threshold, then there is no need to wait until the end since it's just impossible for it to turn around, sort of like they announce election winners during the vote counting process if it reaches a threshold. There is no need to count beyond that threshold.

But this probably won't happen cause the activity is just low. Currently it's more than clear where things are going, a turn around is just extremely unlikely. But it has to be waited, principally speaking.

Create a fancy and colorful roadmap,
make some great promises,
make a buggy but nice looking wallet,
wait a year with multiple delays, and another delays..
you end up become a millionaire...

At least you can eat 500 btc’s from thin air

Very convenient

In case anyone is having issues voting from a paper wallet, I wrote up a quick guide.

First, you'll need to download the zip file from https://github.com/Jpja/Sweep-XCP-Paperwallet

Unzip it and open sweep.html in your favourite web browser. You'll need to input the private key of the paper wallet. Fill in all of the other details and send them to an address that you have generated on counterwallet.io or straight to the voting address.

Note: Sweeping counterparty assets can be finicky. You'll need one larger input of at least 0.0005 bitcoins in the address that you're trying to sweep from. I found that sweeping only worked when I swept all of the bitcoins along with the tokens. This is why I would suggest sending to an address generated on counterwallet.io first, then voting from there.

The voting addresses can be found at https://medium.com/@nvoteam/vote-started-b3e37e0c1ecf

To vote for a refund, send to 17vvg1h5B5qwP2d2oz7t2GpXXpztxsmjNn

To vote for the project to continue, send to 1Caux6gNUB55cALFk1EHiRY5Eo613yuGhE

Do not sweep all of your assets to the voting address! Only NVSTVOTING tokens!

If you're not sure what you should vote for, join Discord or Telegram. Many users are having issues with censorship on Slack (which is typically full) and Telegram, so Discord is suggested for uncensored discussion.

Note: The NVO team does not regularly post on Discord, so there wouldn't typically be any first hand information there.

Telegram: https://t.me/joinchat/Ff92WUidI54g8rv2NdRr1A
Discord: https://discord.gg/YvB5HXp

To view the voting results thus far, please visit https://nvo.party/vote.php

The voting should be ending some time around August 29th, although no exact deadline has been given. If you haven't voted yet, please attempt to do so ASAP in case there are any technical difficulties that you need to work through. Honestly, I'm not the most technical person so it took me quite a while to figure out how to vote from a paper wallet. I'll try to help with any questions but joining discord or Telegram is highly recommended.
