anyone get the wallet working on linux? if so which distro?
Works fine on Ubuntu. Few dependencies were missing, main problem being libboost, you can't use 1.5 and have to use 1.46 (1.49 worked with the 32bit executable).

Code:
apt-get install libboost1.49-all-dev libdb5.1++

wget -O "miniupnpc-1.8.20130211.tar.gz" "http://miniupnp.free.fr/files/download.php?file=miniupnpc-1.8.20130211.tar.gz"
tar -zxvf miniupnpc-1.8.20130211.tar.gz
cd miniupnpc-*
make
make install

While it was busy downloading the blockchain, I was setting up all my stuff. I had guiminer running a stratum proxy, and it said it was connected and working, and I was throwing hashes at it through stratum port from my VPS elsewhere, but I had to change up a bunch of network settings because my DHCP lease ran out at the worst time, now it won't connect to localhost port 8108 for stratum! What's the deal? I've got Windows firewall turned off, ports are open, I just DMZ'd myself.

not sure about the stratum thing, but for regular miners throughout the day 8106 and 8844 were two other ports that you could try.

I have NEVER figured out how to solo mine. Can someone simply copy paste exactly what their cgminer bat file looks like so I can try?

I made a guide

http://maunderingcabal.blogspot.com/2013/02/bitcoin-mining-log-9-how-to-solo-mine.html

I looked at it.

CGminer Example .bat file:

cgminer -o 127.0.0.1:hostnumber -u username -p password

makes complete sense with the exception of the use of 127.0.0.1

Are you serious about using the loop back address or is that just a place holder for a specific IP you will need to solo mine CHNCoin.

I've got a competitor up at http://chn.dontmine.me:9999/

Running on a backup machine so don't expect too much, but it seems to be paying me okay.

RIP my old pools... sometimes BTC isn't life ;(

Sorry.. I threw the pool out a little to fast... But there's no harm done.. lets see how all goes from now on.

It will now take much longer to get the payments per block credited to you as the system now waits for 120 confirms.. so don't panic when you don't see anything in your account for a while until confirms catch up

damn i get an error.

Code:
error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.46.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

for what its worth i was in the CHNCoin/64/ directory when i initiated the wget command. could this be the issue?

Thanks, I added my 1.2 mh/s to it. Rejects look a lot better now!
