Got to say, despite the gimmicky pump and dump hype surrounding new alt coins recently, the fast transaction times really are awesome...
I never understood why people made fun of faster transaction times. Like what you want "transactions times in seconds?" Ohh yeah actually yes, I'm sure merchants want to wait around 4 fucking hours, or even 3 minutes to have transaction approved or not. Sorry customer have a sit in our digital currency waiting area. Shit needs to be within seconds. It makes litecoin seem extremely slow...

When you go to a store and you swipe your card it gets approved or declined instantly not 2,3,30, or 4 hours later.

My first time mining an scrypt based altcoin, got a question. I have my GPU's tuned to the max without HW errors and I am making good coin, but I keep getting "Rejected ... (Job 'xx' not found). Does anyone know if I can tune something in cgminer for that? Or is it just because the pools are flaky? I tried setting the queue to 0 and that did not help.
I am not sure you can tune CGMiner for this. I get these for a couple Accepts after each new block (sometimes), so it may be the speed of the pool, or other factors. It looks like difficulty is set to go up by 90% currently in about 3 days, and I'd expect it to go up more quickly than that given the current mining rate. It has gone up by a factor of more than 5 in < 48 hours...

I don't think so. On a client I have had running for a while I am at about 8%. Hopefully difficulty adjustments will smooth this out over the next few days.

I compile CNCoin-Qt for my Mac from the github source as I couldn't find any pre-compiled binaries, but when I run it no active connections can be found, and it's always out of sync. The debug.log says it's joining IRC ok. IRC :card.freenode.net NOTICE * :*** Looking up your hostname... Is the github source ok? I compiled without UPNP support like you do for unix I have compiled Litecoin-Qt many times on my Mac and it works.

When this coin came out I started mining it hoping for the same result as Feathercoin. Quick money.
Over the last few days while I have been transferring funds around to different wallets I have noticed that this isn't just another clone. The transaction times are ridiculous. If this coin is going to succeed, it's not because the Chinese are going to buy into it. It's because it's actually useful for quick transactions.
With that said, I'm holding on to these for the foreseeable future.

That's only because the difficulty is only 8 right now. The average block time is 14 seconds. The next difficulty will be over 90. Also, faster transaction =/= more secure.

Need to clone it and give it a neutral name then I know you're joking, but it's not even that bad of an idea. If you release something on this forum people don't even look at what has been changed, they just start mining it to hoard as many coins as possible before it hits the exchanges. An exact clone with a different name would probably take off at the same pace Chinacoin and Feathercoin have. That's only because the difficulty is only 8 right now. The average block time is 14 seconds. The next difficulty will be over 90. Also, faster transaction =/= more secure.
Yeah, I realize that it will slow down. It's still going to be incredibly quick compared to other coins though. It's just a pain transferring BTC somewhere and having to wait an hour before you can access it.
