Would hard fork imply the current blockchain wallets remain intact?
Yes I could issue a hardfork for this coin if people really wanted it. But this coin is shit and really should die Of course, the exchanges, pools, etc would all have to agree on a fork for it to actually do anything. Come on Hazard, do something useful at last. Reanimate that dead body.

Hm.. 26 connections to the network and my client won't sync. It was working a few hours ago. Did this chain fork?

Yes. There are now 3 distinct forks. Everyone is going in a different direction.

I am use CTC. Saw no any problem with chain fork. Only problem is very slow block and confirmation rate.

Interesting, I checked the daemon network hash rate (which I find inaccurate on most chains, but ok for a general sense) and it reads: ./chncoind getnetworkhashps 314373448
So the explorers hash calculation is correct A newer block from the Damon printout (I do not display some stats on CCE as I find most people do not find them useful, including the block version on most chains) ./chncoind getblock 2231bfde6ae8b9c416d12f2a98425939c4131690d905af35be87f0a2a5f17c2e { "hash" : "2231bfde6ae8b9c416d12f2a98425939c4131690d905af35be87f0a2a5f17c2e", "confirmations" : 2, "size" : 187, "height" : 58285, "version" : 2, "merkleroot" : "fb4fb58df617f4d9e6bdb27c8b8be94dadda746d87aeead2f6d54ed418e4fdd0", "tx" : [ "fb4fb58df617f4d9e6bdb27c8b8be94dadda746d87aeead2f6d54ed418e4fdd0" ], "time" : 1371079563, "nonce" : 2682074368, "bits" : "1c061f09", "difficulty" : 41.82101451, "previousblockhash" : "54be4d3446034731a0bd5f2750d157705df20ba8e2640e15ecd6475c6995ecfe", "nextblockhash" : "d72bb4c6e5c7d44bae4371f78250054bed744d8b3e6da64149d09ad215ec08c1" }
Does anybody have any concrete information on chain forks, or which chain is still the official chain? I would hate to take CHNcoin off CCE because nobody can identify the official chain, if in fact the chain is forked.

What if someone forked it at that the next Diff change? Will the existing clients not sync with the new client that is not released? If so that might be what someone is doing since the coin is already on a major exchange (BTC-e).
So if they did indeed fork it and don't release the client.. then what?

I do not know another client. But this (version 2) seems to be a part of FUD strategy of one person/group that have ~300Mh/s. Why?,...,we will see it.

I have put the block version number back on the block display in the CHNCoin explorer on CCE.
I hope it helps to sort this out.

Block 58432 found by weminecnc pool Version 1
Anything found by the other guy = version 2.
I presume my client which was downloaded from the original source would generate a version 1 block. Weminecnc has the original client so it as well would generate version 1. Could the following have happened:
1) Download the source code, modify JUST the version number. Recompile and start mining to throw people off thinking there is a new client? 2) Repeat above however fork the chain at X block in the new client. Since you now have 300+ MHash everyone else including exchanges AND pools not sync to the new chain unless the new client is released. If you don't release the new client, is this just to kill the coin? But that wouldn't make sense because then why waste 300MH on it?

I want to see it come from this address however CT9jJcf7CRETMaQRqUip26E1VTPoU5psAS Then we will know you are not bluffing. Sorry.. I doubt everyone on here.. lol

I think he wants directions on how to change the difficulty retarget. Where are these settings changed? In the client source? Are they c++ variables? Which file in the source? I'm trying to figure this out as I go. I can program in c++.

I have a few hundreds MH/s and I am considering to re-mine a difficulty-wise longer chain from just before the last difficulty rise, and I would like to hear some feedback from the community.
Will users lose coins bought after the fork. That's disaster.

Will users lose coins bought after the fork. That's disaster. I've changed my mind. But right now I am mining at lose. I will keep mining until the next difficulty drop. But we need consensus among the community. The difficulty adjustment algorithm must be changed.
