I believe every epoch is 30,000 blocks and it takes 14-15s to solve a block, So that is a new Epoch every 4.8 - 4.9 days. 60 epochs left till DAG 95. Therefore Musicoin should be mineable on 2GB cards for another 291 to 312 days
Musicion will hit 2GB barrier at 11/FEB/2019, expanse will do the same in april 2026

You can check with claymore miner in benchmark mode where will the DAG file generation fail. Mine failed at DAG #176 and I have GTX 1060 3GBs , which will be ruled out sooner than I though.. about 9.6 months from now if I did the math right. This website shows that 3GB cards will drop at DAG #256 which is not true. Also it is worth mentioning that DAG allocation is a matter of software configuration. What I mean is that each vendor decides just how much his Video card model will allow its memory to be filled to full capacity. At dag 175 my cards were about 2650 MB used as per MSI afterburner. Which means that in theory they should be able to do DAG 176 as well (very small MB difference maybe 20-30) but they can't, because they have some small reserve that has to be left (I guess) The card that had the monitor on it had 2800ish of its memory used so I guess it is the culprit (if one fails maybe all fail)

For now ETH is still about the best if you have 4GB.

Newbie here.
I have a system with one Gigabyte RX 480 and a Saphire Pulse RX 560 4 Gb OC.
Dual mining Ether and Siacoin. RX 560 performance is half of RX 480, but it consumes half the watts and costs less than half the price. I can't see anyone going wrong with a 560. Together they mine at Vega's 64 speed, total cost was around half a Vega...
However, I'm not really getting the numbers I see around here. Rx480 gets around 20/21 MH/s and RX580 10/10.5.
I overclocked memory to 2000 Mhz, GPU to 1400 mhz, and I can't get more than 10.5.
What am I doing wrong.
You have to mod your BIOS...and really no reason to put core that high

This afternoon I modded the bios as suggested. Copied 1750 Mhz timings to 1850 and 2000.
Same speeds.
But with that mod, +15% power limit gave arround 11.5 Mh/s.
Still too far away from those 14 people are reporting.
someone mod can reach 15-16 MH

Well, I really can't reach those values, but meanwhile I modded 480 bios as well, copying memory timings.
Now RX560 gets 12.5 Mh/s and 480 4Gb gets 26.5.
Almost 40 Mh/s with around 170/180 W power draw, I think it's very nice.
If it's power draw in GPU-Z that's not so good. 26.5MH/s for RX 480 is very low.

26.5 isn't terrible but you could probably get another 1 or 2 with some tweaking. Many cards just can't reach 29 or 30.

hi guys. i hv 2 different brands of rx560 both 4gb. HIS RX 560 GREEN iCooler OC 4 GB and (hynix) PowerColor Red Dragon RX 560 OC 4 GB (micron) fresh win10 1703 blockchain workloads aug23 driver (tried aug11, crimson 17.9.1) ive tried copying various timing straps, 1500 1625 1750 1875 2000 and even try editing bios from other users tht was able to get 14-15mhs ive even tried Branko's micron bios, also tried the polaris 1.6.2 oneclick timing patch, the results i get is the same, max 13.6mhs, i can even reach this with stock bios on the HIS gpu @default gpuclock 1196 and @ 2100mclock. now im running the HIS gpu @ 1625 timing straps and 1900mclock and get around the same hashrate as default bios, and if i go higher mclock then its not stable. am i missing something? and should i leave the TDP TDC and max power limit or should i chg it to 60 80 80? does it affect the hashrate? and the 2nd issue im having is not getting the actual hashrate when i run multi gpu (6pin usb risers). only one gpu hash normally at 13.x and others 12.6mhs. is it due to my old core2duo lga775 motherboard? power is sufficient. if i try only 1 gpu at a time at different pcie slots it will hash normally. but when i run all 4 only 1 will and other 3 will hash slower. should i edit the pcie voltage +0.01 0.02 0.03 in mb bios dag creation time is 95xx ms and 107xx 107xx 107xx ms also anyone using sapphire rx480 8gb ref model(single fan)? a friend of mine wanna get rid of it at a good price wondering should i get it. shouldnt be a problem getting 25-26mhs? but maybe high temp? thx for reading guys ive read thru alot of old posts and still not able to figure it out.

Not sure why you aren't hitting atleast 14.5MH honestly.
