Hey All,

Been reading up on the RX560s and took a small bite I already have 2 bigger rigs running RX470s & RX480s but unable to find these anywhere (for a reasonable price), managed to get a couple of donkeys - Gigabyte RX560 OC 4G (Rev2) locked to 896 shaders, have managed to unlock these to get the full 1024 :-) micron memory

Modded BIOS using PBE 1.6.7 with One Click Timings

Getting between 12-12.5MH/s ETH using "-cclock 1189 -mclock 1900 -cvddc 900 -mvddc 850" if i push the clocks any higher it becomes unstable.

Card sits around 54 degrees @ 40% Fan

But is there any way of getting this higher with additional tweaks

Any ideas welcome, or is this the max?

Hey All,

Did you undervolt after you reached to -mclock 1900? Maybe it helps not to undervolt before you reached max stable frq.

Try those drivers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2068446.0

How did you unlock shaders?

my MSI rx560 aero 4gb oc (hynix) only got 10.9 - 11 mh/s and i saw a lot of users which has type same as mine can reach 12 mh/s or more?  Huh
i've tried copy 1625 to 1750 and upper then on afterburner i set cclock 1196, mclock 2100, fan 80 and limit power +60.
if set core clock more lower, hashrate went down too  and when temp reach 60 celcius core went down self:-[
i used claymore v10 to mining eth on nanopool
any trick that i can use to reach 12 Mh/s or more?

I'm getting around 14.5Mh/s with exactly that card! Try this memory timings: my memory is H5GQ8H24MJ (Hynix 2)
777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17

Copy them to 2000 and 2250 only (because you will overclock memory anyway you don't have to change 1750 timings).

I'm running the card at
cclock 1200
vddc 900

memclock 2150
mvdd 1050

I didn't change the power limit. But you have to if you don't undervolt the core. My ethminer parameters are "--cl-local-work 64 --cl-global-work 32768", but default settings also work well. I'm mining on linux and your results may vary tough.

If you increase power limits and overclock the core instead it's possible to get close to 15Mh/s. But I wouldn't recommend that because efficiency will decrease and pulling more than 75W from the PCIe slot could damage your board. I'm measuring a power delta of ~60W at the wall with my settings compared to the same system with the card removed.

I'm running Win10x64 so no need for those drivers, these are for Windows 7, I might try the Official DAG fix driver from AMD though.

As for unlocking the shaders i used a combination of the below sites (even from my technical background, it took a few times to read through to understand how to do it)

For tutorial - https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6gah41/how_to_unlock_your_xfx_rx_460_single_slot_4g_by/

For software needed - https://anorak.tech/t/anoraks-amd-vbios-hex-modification-tutorial/126/4

Once I had the unlocked shaders BIOS, I used 1 click timings in Polaris Bois Editor 1.6.7 and reflashed the BIOS with the unlocked shaders

Just need to figure out how to get the hashrate to get past 12.5-12.6!

when i tried to copy your timings, there is no enough space so it's only be like this "......xxxx0000001B162C31C0313F1". it should be "....xxxxx0000001B162C31C0313F17" right?
i only can find "vddc"  Embarrassed where i can find "mvdd" on polaris v3.3 ?
i just started mining so sorry for too many questions and bad english

No it's correct I just it checked again. For some weird reason copying that from the browser adds a space between two 0s. Remove that and you should be fine.

I don't know how you set mvdd on Windows. But you should be fine with default mvdd (1000mv). If you also use the GPU for display output it might be better to use more stable 2100 MHz on Ram anyways.

****Update*****

Forget the Oneclick timing, found this timing in another thread for Micron (Hynix too)

Now getting 13.5 Stable no errors @ 1189/925 1850/850

Not bad for a Gigabyte RX560 OC 4GD REV2 with Micron memory (GV-RX560OC-4GD/F60/0696)

Hello guys... I have some questions and I hope I'm on right place... I just get a rig with x6 Asus Strix Rx560 O4G Evo Oc Gaming... On eth i get 10.xxx mhz, without oc etc... When i clock it a bit with afterburner I can get around 11,800 mhz... I tried to clock them in bios but when i open it with bios editor I dont have timers more then 1500... Is it possible that they cant be clocked more or I need to unlock some things etc?

Hi! I have same G card (hynix memory BIOS mode timing patch) and until i install "Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23" drivers i didn't have more than 11'5 Mh/s.
Less that 7'7 Mh/s without Bios mode.

Now, whit this driver, i have ETH SOLO 13'9 with set cclock 1080, mclock 2015,  limit power +0 (14'6 at mclock 2075 with minimal errors HWiNFO64).
In DUAL ETH-DCR mining  Eth 13'5 Mh/s and Dcr 340 Mh/s with -dcri 25, same clocks but 12w more of consuption.
If you answer the question about drivers: Yes, i install some versions adrenalin but worst results.

Hi guys,

First of all, this topic has been very informative. Thank you all very much for sharing your knowledge and information   Smiley

Sadly, I didn’t do my homework before buying 12 x Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse 4GB (11267-18-20G). I thought I got a good deal, only later to find out this model is severely gimped. As stated before in this topic, it only has 896 shaders, less TMU, 1500Mhz and less Bandwidth:

https://i.imgur.com/lIYIFl5.png

I can’t return them anymore so I have to make the best of it…. However, it looks like my card is just a softlocked ‘normal’ Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse OC 4GB (11267-00-20G). I have been able to unlock the shaders to 1024, the TMU to 64 and my memory chips are also ‘normal’ MT51J256M3 (MICRON) a.k.a. they run at 1750Mhz by default.

https://i.imgur.com/dJfr57K.png

I’ve tried different straps (from Wacko, Branko, One Click Timing from PSBEditor 1.6.7, the BIOS straps website with the Nyan cat logo and the ‘top secret’ 15Mhs strap) and was able to push this ‘gimped’ card to 12.1MH/s. Sadly, I can’t do much more because of the limitation in Bandwidth. It’s locked to 96 GB/s and I need the full 128 GB/s in order to push the hashrate even further. Changing/raising the TDP and TDC made no difference; the cards just keeps using the same wattage (which is odd I think).

My question: Is it possible to unlock/BIOSmod the Bandwidth to 128 GB/s as well?
@Branko: Do you see any room for more improvements in my BIOS mod?

For those of you interested in my ROM:
Stock ROM (without any modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_STOCK.rom
ROM with shaders unlocked to 1024 (no other modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_UNLOCKED.rom
ROM with unlocked shaders, Branko’s strap and increased max. memory frequency (for use with claymore): http:// data .freek .ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_12MHs.rom
(REMOVE THE SPACES IN THE URL. I could'nt link directly to my server, it got flagged my bitcointalk)

The last ROM (the one with Branko’s strap) will give you 12.1MH/s at Ethereum mining using Claymore 10.6 and the following settings: -cclock 1275 -mclock 2225 -cvddc 1000 -mvddc 850

Theres no "limitation" in bandwith, its just a number you get based on memory bus width and memory speed, so when you OC memory, you also get
better bandwidth.

12.1 is low with such big frequency, so either of 2 things happened:

1. claymore command to set frequency doesn't work (in that case, use wattman instead)
2. you forgot to change workload from graphics to compute in wattman

GL, and may the hashing power be with you Smiley

Sorry for no English in rest of this reply, but its much easyest to me to talk to Branko...
Hvala unapred...

Ah, I see! Indeed, the Bandwidth goes up when the Memory clock goes up. Issue fixed Wink

Regarding the low hashrate; You were correct once again! It was issue number 2: I had to change the workload from graphics to compute for each and every card. I just changed it for 1 card, as per AMD documentation it says: Note! In systems with more than one GPU, this option will apply to all GPUs in the system (https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/DH-024.aspx) But apparantly that is not true, at least not for my rig.

Once again thank you very much!!

In systems with more than one GPU, this option will apply to all GPUs in the system (https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/DH-024.aspx) But apparantly that is not true, at least not for my rig.

Once again thank you very much!!

I have same issue with you, how did you fixed? I can't see "GPU Workload" options on Radeon setting.
