You can see what's coming out. Token is getting stonger and stronger. It's already 1101 on Coin Market Cap. 4 years ago it was among top 200, sometimes during pumps even among top 100. But with amazing marketing, the project came to 1101 place. Keep up the good work.

The legendary SunContract “Peer to Peer energy market” is now about three years old. Our team is steadily growing. Activity and users on the platform are increasing. Updates, developments and scalability for 1M+ users are ongoing. Global services will come with updates. Stay tuned for more in the near future. Big sunny respect to all investors and our loyal community.

Here is the picture of our community launch.

Solar industry set to quadruple in the U.S. over the next decade

Did you know?

At the beginning of last year, we reported a bold Scottish forecast which estimated that by the end of the year, all the necessary electricity will be obtained from renewable sources. A year later, we can look at the realization of this forecast and find that they almost fulfilled that forecast. In 2020, 97.4 percent of the consumed electricity was obtained from renewable sources. This is an estimate based on gross consumption, and the exact value is expected in December.

The share of renewable energy sources in the total energy balance of Scotland was 24 percent (data for 2019). By 2030, the goal is to increase this share to 50 percent. The hardest part, of course, is traffic and heating. Only 6.5 percent of thermal energy was obtained from renewable sources. However, compared to the reference period 2005-2007, they reduced the consumption of all energy by 13.4 percent.

Scotland is a net exporter of electricity, which is therefore also produced from non-renewable sources. In 2020, they grossly exported 19.3 TWh of electricity, which is 21 percent more than the year before. For comparison: Scotland itself consumes about 32 TWh of electricity. Most electricity is produced from wind (70 percent) and the rest is hydropower. Virtually all growth falls on wind energy, where capacity has grown to 22 TWh per year since 2000 when it was almost non-existent. In the last ten years alone, the share has tripled. Hydropower remains about 6 TWh per year.

Scotland wants to be carbon neutral by 2045. Too bad it`s such a small country!

With the surplus electricity produced by self-sufficient power plants in 2020, electricity could be provided for almost 200 households.

The past year has been very productive for owners of self-sufficient power plants. More than half of the users on the Suncontract platform produced surpluses in the past year. This is a total of 1gWh, which is equal to the amount of electricity consumed by about 200 households with standard electricity consumption, ie about 5 thousand kWh. If we look at it from another angle, this is on average just under 4,000 kWh / user, which in this amount means a good 200 EUR (excluding VAT) for household consumption or. 220 EUR (excluding VAT) for small business consumption. More than half of all surpluses have already been transferred by our users to other consumption points. The rest of the users have time to transfer the surpluses until the end of the year if they wish to do so. Of course, they can also use the surpluses at their point of consumption.

Would you also like to use our platform to transfer surpluses?

Top 5 countries with renewable energy

1. Denmark

˝Denmark is building a $34 Billion green energy Island. The island will be approximately 120,000 SQ M. Focused entirely on green energy it will initially produce enough electricity to power 3 million homes.˝
https://bit.ly/3a2qfRp

2. Germany

˝In the first half of 2019, renewables accounted for 47,7% of Germany˙s electricity production. By 2030 the country aims to get at least 65% of its electricity from renewables, this includes wind energy, solar energy, biomass, and hydro.˝
https://bit.ly/3s4QPzm

3. Scotland

˝Scotlands oil age is beginning to come to an end. That's why scientists and researchers focus on new, sustainable methods for energy production such as floating wind turbines. These wind turbines are placed on floating platforms, making them easier to install and allow them to be deployed in much deeper waters. Floating turbines could open up vast coastal areas around the world.˝
https://bit.ly/3s5JSOF

4. The US

˝ Can a country like the US solely rely on renewable energy?
https://bit.ly/3mHTa2i

5. South Korea

˝ One of the pillars of the Korean New Deal is green. South Korea plans to become a so-called carbon neutral society by 2025. This plan includes transforming a wide range of public facilities that will be remodeled with eco-friendly material and solar, wind, and hydro will be the countries to-go energy sources.˝

SunContract Temporarily Disables SNC Deposits and Withdrawals due to Ethereum Blockchain Hard Fork Berlin Upgrade

SunContract temporarily disabled deposits and withdrawals while there is open investigation of issue with the recent network upgrade for some Ethereum nodes. We kindly advise you to temporarily hold on with your SNC deposits and withdrawals within the platform until the Ethereum community resolve the sync issues since new transactions will not be shown. Ethereum's latest blockchain upgrade went live on 15th of April. The syncing issue appears to have snarled on OpenEthereum nodes which is also the technology implemented into SunContract Energy Marketplace.

SunContract P2P Energy Marketplace services and EUR SEPA transactions are not affected as well as other services are fully running.

Stay tuned for further updates and we will inform you about the completion of the syncing process when you will be able to deposit and withdraw in SunContract platform again. We kindly thank you for your understanding and patience.

SunContract Team

SunContract Temporarily Our CEO, Gregor Novak in his latest interview with Energetika.net reveals fresh information about the development of our platform. He also gave his opinion on the energy transformation that Slovenia is supposed to go through, following the new climate plan. Of course, he sees a great opportunity in renewables. His long-term goal is to reach one million solar energy users.

˝We have done a lot on back-office systems, because - we know - energy is a highly regulated activity with a lot of legislation, which is also evident in the development of projects, "says the director of SunContract about the work done so far, adding that they were not in a hurry with the number of users. ˝The goal is to reach one million users, but it is harder to predict how long this will take˝, Novak says.

Novak sees the energy future of Slovenia in self-sufficiency and "the sooner we get on it, the more we will take away from it and on the other hand - the longer we wait, the more damage our economy will suffer".
