In the installation of 1,300 solar power plants with a total power of 25 MW, our exclusive partner in Slovenia SONCE energija used 55,000 modules, which would fill as many as 6 shipping containers per month. We sold as many as 1,750 solar power plants!

At the end of 2022, according to the Slovenian Photovoltaics Association, there were 724 MW of solar power plants in Slovenia, which is 258 MW more than at the end of 2021. We are very pleased with the trend of photovoltaics in Slovenia, to which we have also contributed. In 2022 alone SONCE energija, our exclusive partner in Slovenia, set up 1300 solar power plants (total peak power of 25 MW), which amounts to about 10% of the Slovenian share. Next year, we estimate we can expect a rise from 260 to 500 MW. Our plan is to contribute an additional 50 MW of solar power plants, which means for us to record 100% growth again.

Today we are presenting to you our new spaces! Our SunContract team moved into new offices just before the new year. We are grateful for the bright, friendly, and airy offices that enable us to work more focused and efficiently. For a good working atmosphere, team members gladly take care by themselves!

Slovenia is quite evenly sunny, so there is almost no location where the solar power plant would not make sense. Gorenjska is also very rich with the sun. The solar power plant in the photo is on Pokljuka and is also expected to produce surpluses, which our customer will be able to transfer for free, via SunContract platform, for consumption in their holiday home.

At the end of last year, we opened another location in Postojna. This gives our employees a third option in addition to working at our headquarters in Ljubljana and working from home. They can work closer to home and at the same time stay connected to their colleagues. Colleagues from the southwest regions find this office very useful. We wish them a successful and fruitful work.

This week started quite energetic for us, as Roman Gregorn, CEO of SONCE energija, celebrated his life anniversary. His colleagues surprised him, congratulated him, and sang for him, and there was even a guitar. And of course, our CEO did not stay behind, but prepared a real treat. ✅ It is one of the cheapest forms of renewable energy.
✅ It can be installed on any existing building.
✅ It has no negative impact on the environment.
✅ It only needs sunlight to operate.

What convinced/would convince you to invest in a solar power plant?

The number of self-sufficient power plants on the SunContract platform is increasing. Last year, they generated 6,000 MWh of electricity, which represents 20% of the total surpluses generated by all self-sufficient solar power plants in Slovenia.

That's enough electricity for around 1,000 average households.

But only on SunContract platform, our customers will be able to make use of all these surpluses this year. Either they will transfer them (to their parents, children, friends, for a holiday home ...) or they will use them at their own metering point.

The SunContract platform directly connects electricity producers and consumers using blockchain technology. This cuts out the middleman - electricity suppliers and their fees. As a result, producers can sell electricity on the platform at higher prices. Consumers, however, get electricity at lower prices than if they were to buy it through intermediaries.
