Hey 1080Ti owners. We have something interesting for you.

https://imgur.com/a/Recl7

Contact myself or VirosaGITS on Bitcointalk, or reach out to us through Discord (OhGodAGirl#8787 | OhGodAnAI#6184) or email (ohgodagirl@gmail.com | ohgodanai@gmail.com) for pricing information.

Comments:

1) The rough numbers based on the 1080ti defaults in WTM are the following: Assuming a purely linear power consumption scaling, you are looking at about  0.50$ per card per day in profit from their mod. So you can see why they want to go big, especially if they have the hassle of policing their customers.

2) As Gary has pointed out, they aren't running a charity for distressed miners. The best payment model for both sides would be a percentage. This way the ETH miner customer doesn't have any negative exposure to any POW deadlines using this mod.

A miner could look at this in a couple of ways. If heat generation is a potential issue, you could use this mod to work on efficiency. The other path is squeezing more juice out of the orange.

A cynic might also read a little too much in this offering:

a) These high end guys may have some intel on how close ETH is to the end of the PoW phase.

b) They also may know something about the next generation of cards and that the advantage of their mod(s) maybe reduced.

We could also just make a devfee miner. If you'd prefer that...well, the community decides.

Another +1 to dev fee miner.

I was about to ask about that! If we don't try what you offer, it'd be very hard for you to get new customers. Maybe if you already have some connections then those might choose to trust what you sell, but new customers would prefer a DevFee, at least as an alternative option.

Is this w0lf's mod? Do you need to write each card with a PICKIT3 or is this just sw mod?

Couldn't agree more. If you follow her last posts on bitcointalk she switched to the 'green' team.
twitter states also that she went to asia and is thrilled about the new things that are coming from nvidia e.g. gddr6 etc.

maybe a swing by to bitmain and other asic manufacturers to see their latest eth miners (not the e3) *lol*
who knows, ohgod what a gossip Tongue

Yup, I am Jihan. Also Casper is coming tomorrow, and we're selling our totally top secret tools and miners to cash out.

Is this w0lf's mod? Do you need to write each card with a PICKIT3 or is this just sw mod?

It's not a VBIOS.

The devfee option is literally to help the community; if I didn't have to pay salaries, we'd release everything for free. Unfortunately that's not a sustainable model for business. Testing this alone chews up a lot of funds in electricity costs.

The problem with the devfee is that I don't feel comfortable just releasing a one-off, or packaging this on top of someone else's hard work (i.e CCMiner, Claymore); OhGodACompany has very, very, very high standards with our software, and while we have OhGodAMiner, it's not something I want to release to the public - yet.

Ethereum ain't the most profitable coin for nVIDIA cards at the moment ( and may never be ).
They are betting on the ones counting on the longevity of Ethereum vs the "shitcoins" that are highly profitable on nVIDIA but with unknown future.

Dont really see the point of that miner when there are better coins to mine with 1080tis and they bring more daily profit than on ethereum with that spee. And it will be even worse when mass production of eth asics begins and diff skyrockets Undecided

ya i couldnt pay a flat fee for that miner, i might never ROI with how situational it is for me personally Sad
my 1080ti's do 43+ already, and how many mine ETH on Nvidia? :/
+1 for dev fee, you peeps really IMO should have optimized a better algo for sale, you are SKILLED no doubt, and Nvidia needs mod competition
literally any other algo then ETH i would prob buy it for my 1080ti's Sad

Are you really discussing mining ETH with 1080ti? It`s really a bad idea. There are lots of coins with higher profit than ETH even with such hashrate.

Any chance you guys can boost the results on equihash algo?I am sure you would hit much larger 1080ti miners number then on eth and if you add dev fee it would be win/win scenario for both sides
Also have you tested your miner on 1080ti mining version, they were doing 50mhs on claymore already?

Yes. It will be interesting with other algo. If you can improve nist5, x17, c11, equihash, neoscrypt, etc - it will be nice. Even not only for 1080ti but for all green cards.

I ave only a few cards. So it is better to pay the Dev fee as a percentage.

Improvement of nist5 would be useless, there is Baikal miner with 10GHs/s which is equivalent of 100+ Nvidias 1080Ti.

Yes, you are right, i`ve forgot about it. But other algos upgrade are actual, mostly neoscrypt i think. Green need new miner, after last claymore.

Isn't this all about "modding" the gpu itself.

As in higher memory performance?

In this case any miner with a memory hard algorithm should see an improvement.

Of course I understand that you can pack your "magic" into a miner but that would limit the performance mod to the miners/algorithms you provide.

The questions that remains tho, how to charge a % fee with a modding tool only?

Green need new algo more then new miner Grin If there wasnt for x16r we would all be in a bigger trouble then now, every month there is new amd miner for some algo that it used to be good for nvidia first it was neoscrypt now lyra2 and there is already private amd miner for x17...Dont forget that now asics are coming for algos like skein and nist5 Cry
