Last time I used normal fees was quite long ago. In the last few months, I always use fees hefty enough for next block confirmation, mainly because when I spend Bitcoins, I spend them to buy something and next block confirmation are always welcome in these cases.
I get the point that the fees have a different time lapse in terms of its price so if you want your transaction to be fast you need to choose on a much high fee but if you did not need for a much faster money you can choose to pay a low price fee. And for me I suggest to make your transaction less but more capacity because in this at you can lessen the fee in a more faster transaction.

I don't know, as I am using Poloniex Bitcoin wallet so that Bitcoin fee is always the same everytime I send Bitcoin. And I think using a wallet that enable you to send a fixed fee is better, you don't need to worry about your transactions

No, I am not using low fees, most of my payment are to send big amount of bitcoin so that I need to make sure my transaction is ok. Moreover, sending a big amount of fees can keep miners continue on their works that keeps Bitcoin work well

Currently using the lowest fee possible to transfers my bitcoins within the next 1-6 blocks. Due to the price of bitcoin right now, I'm more conservative into checking thinga and the fees that I'm inputting. Also, it would be a pain in the arse if you keep in waiting for a transaction only for it to be dropped by the network because of insanely low fees.

Blockchain.info wallet implemented "priority" and "regular" fee. Last night I sent $200 worth with $8 fee and it got confirmed in 1.5 hrs.
Do you think it's fair with the transaction you did with them? $8 fee is a very big amount and 1.5 hours isn't that fast with that fee. I will guess that it is a priority fee, I've been using blockchain.info with their regular and recommended fee. I haven't tried to adjust the fees and there's no problem to me, it's not even getting delayed for so many hours just like others are complaining. honsastly i think there is no point in paying high fees, you should only pay fees if you really need your transaction to get faster otherwise you are wasting your money, because reight now everyone is paying fees which means all transactions have the same priority so it is going to take the same time for them to preocess it as if we did pay regural fees Well most of us wants a fast transaction but that's a good point, if you are not rushing to receive those bitcoins just use the normal fee. The fees now are getting higher and higher and the exchange are adjusting it to increased amount, I don't understand this. But if you are calm and you can wait it's your decision to increase or not your fees.

As I have notice except the free online service of ViaBTC and the 'delay' column of bitcoinfees.21.co in weekends the unconfirmed transactions are less than the rest days of the week. Therefore, the fees are significantly lower and I prefer weekends for this reason.

(but I'd keep it in mind and check it out)
Never gone anywhere below 250 per byte since the year started. Last year I think the lowest I went was maybe 180/byte. When I need a quick confirmation, I aim for bitcoinfees21's cheapest and fastest, at whichever has the lowest unconfirmed tx's. When a tx is not urgent, then it's usually at the 250-300/byte range (the lowest of the yellow bars.never the orange ones. ^^) When I make a mistake calculating my tx size and it ends up on the 10-20 blocks range, then I use the accelerator. It usually works. Why pay the high fees even if I could wait days? Because I don't like my transactions(money/btc) stuck. They could be in wallets, storage, or even in cash, but never stuck in between. And yeah, sometimes I feel it's a waste, but still.

Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap. So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?
It depends, there are things that need a fast confirmation because if you don’t get confirmed then you need to contact support and then tell them that it took longer than expected, since I prefer to avoid all that, most of the time I send a good enough fee, but when it does not matter if it takes a short amount of time or a long one then I send with a small fee.

No, low fees won't get you anywhere today. The mempool is huge and low fees will maybe take days to confirm. I use 488/byte. This is the fastest and most economical rate at the moment.

Unbelievable, this topic is always in the top, which shows that it is always of interest and discussion. It seems people are very concerned about the wallet of the bitcoin deal, it is a matter of urgency for people to overcharge transactions while transactions are slow. However, for business people, we should prioritize the speed of transactions, so we should use a reasonable fee.

It's depend on urgency level, if transaction is very urgent i will use higher fee otherwise i will use small fee if i wanna transfer btc to my another wallet

I actually go for medium fees because I'm willing to wait but I'm not willing to wait for a really long time. When you choose low fees, be ready to wait for days before your transaction gets confirmed. When you choose high fees, you'd receive your money in between a couple of minutes to a couple of hours. I don't really need the money that urgently.
I tried low fees back then and it took me days. I thought what's going to happen if the coin is just there, stuck. But there's no worries after all because you can rebroadcast the transaction or add a transaction fee to it. If you're going to add fee in the end, might as well add that fee at the start instead so I always pick the medium fee.

Looks like currently a fee of $0.41 gets you in the next block for a transaction matching the median size. The wallets are still recommending high fees, presumably because they burnt their fingers when they calculated too low fees recently. Now they are over-cautious or simply slow to adapt

No I wouldn't be able to use low fees in the least to be able to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time, it already takes a good amount of time to confirm a transaction when you're paying a disgusting amount of money which could be an average / up to $3.00 for one TX, which is already annoying, takes around 15mins to go ahead and confirm. Imagine if you'd be trying to use a low fee, this would take days to confirm OR IT COULD NEVER CONFIRM.
Don't get me wrong, I suppose I could do this on a TX where it doesn't really matter how lt takes to be able to get the product or service--but sadly out of convenience I'd be paying a high amount for something I could get free with my credit / debit card.
So, no I'm not using low fees and I really do pray that one-day we get a scaling solution that's going to help and get these dam fees down.

For me I consider even 1$ as a low fee and so it depends on each individual and what they deem high or low. I'm currently spending under 1$ for medium size transaction to get confirmed within the next block and I'm ok with it.

Me its been to high because on blockchain wallet are very big fee its only 1$ i think some 1-2$ per transaction. That is not good and if you send a big amount the fee is also big so i think that fee are so ridiculous.

We really need to find a solution for this high fee otherwise people will start dropping off bitcoin, and switch to other cryptocurrency, many bussiness which uses transactions on a daily basis are closing some of the gmabling sites are shutting down and trading has become unworthy, i suggest that high transaction fees should only be for poeple who are in a hurry who want thier transaction to be sent instantly, because for personal use and for someone who does not earn that much having high fees cut out from mu balance is somthing really bad.

I'm not using low fees anymore as it would take days to confirm transactions. I have some friends that took at least a week before the transaction was confirmed. I usually use medium transaction fees but when i need it urgent i have no choice for high transaction fees.

Setting low fees doesn't mean you are going to get a confirmation within weeks. You may not get a confirmation at all. That's the danger of setting a low fee. You cannot be sure whether or not you will even ever be able to spend that transaction or not. If after a few weeks no pool confirms your transaction(extremely likely since they don't want to waste block space on such a low amount of fees), then you have to use a transaction accelerator. That would mean that you will be paying way more than if you just paid your fair share of fees in the first place. At least do like 150sats/byte. That's the lowest you can go imo to get a transaction confirmed within a day at the moment.
