Are you using low fees?

Currently using the lowest fee possible to transfers my bitcoins within the next 1-6 blocks. Due to the price of bitcoin right now, I'm more conservative into checking thinga and the fees that I'm inputting. Also, it would be a pain in the arse if you keep in waiting for a transaction only for it to be dropped by the network because of insanely low fees.

There’s nothing wrong with that, I use a small fee while sending a Bitcoin transaction and the whole thing gets multiple confirmations within 5 hours or really close to it. If I wanted to get my transactions approved faster than I would send my transactions with a high fee.

I don't know, as I am using Poloniex Bitcoin wallet so that Bitcoin fee is always the same everytime I send Bitcoin.
And I think using a wallet that enable you to send a fixed fee is better, you don't need to worry about your transactions

Poloniex usually uses a very high fee because they want the receiver to get the money in a very fast manner.
I usually don’t like to spend my coin online though when I send the coin to somebody with a Bitcoin address then I would send it with a very low transaction fee.

Im not using low fees, wallets that use low fees I think are low on security and I only send and transact BCT in larger amounts. Sometimes Im converting BTC to fiat and then send it as a fiat to avoid such fees. I hope that we will fixed these "FEES" problem because it is highway robbery just like the internet, if it will work these way then what is our difference in fiats in the real word?

i go for middling fees. i'm not convinced fees that low will ever confirm with things the way there are these days. if i'm buying something then i go for relatively high because i don't want to be waiting around.

Exactly because if you to get something that you buy you should pay high fee for the fast transaction but if you used low fees you will for a long time before you receive it.

You cannot use low fees for any transactions you do nowadays as your transaction will have a really big risk of never getting confirmed in the network. You should always use the recommended fee or just a bit lower so your transaction will confirm.

You should not use low fees for any transaction because it make your transaction easy to be forgotten, your transaction may never be confirmed

Not always the lowest fee for transferring money is a guarantee that you will not get your money. Until recently, XAPO does not charge a fee for the transfer and I have never had a problem. I now choose low cost for the transfer and it allows me to save. I have no problem to wait for some time and thus to reduce the fee for the payment.

Me too, It is not only make sure that our transaction will be confirmed but also make us fell comfortable for not being waited for a long time to get confirmed

Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap.
So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?

I used medium fees but lately it's now decent high, 100,000-150,000 satoshis is too much for a fees. That is $2 on USD value. To minimize the cost, I always transfer in bulk. But Im considering using low fees now but not to wait for 2 or 3 weeks. Id rather pay for 1 to 2 days than weeks eventhough Im not using my bitcoin.

You never know what will happen so it's good be ready. We can earned the lost money but for the needs, we must be ready anytime.

I also preffer on choosing the medium fee because if I will look a the time lapse of every transaction I can see that most of transaction have the same mode or time of delivery. For me it's better to manage every transaction so whenever the time you made transaction you can lessen the fees because you can have big transaction at a time. And also make your choice dependent on your needs so you can choose to take a low fees.

Well, I tried my luck with a low fee (~9 Sat/byte) a few weeks ago on a small transaction. Now I'm stuck with an unconfirmed and dusty transaction. Ugh! Trying to figure out how to get it unstuck is taking more time than the money was worth.

In future, I will be sticking with recommended fees. You never know when the low fee will bite you.

If you have no problem waiting then I think it makes no sense to spend huge sums on small transactions, but there are pressing demands that needs you to send small transactions and you might be looking for quicker confirmations(i.e. renewing your cost); in such situations paying high fees becomes inevitable.

In the past, when I was using Coinbase and Xapo, I do not need to care much about Bitcoin fee but now I am using Electrum, I usually use medium fee so that I can make sure that my transaction is still confirmable

I am waiting on the day when a client sends us a payment with a lower than usual fee and after the TX gets ignored on the blockchain for several hours, they try to double spend with a higher fee.  The fact is that the TX is not confirmed until it is confirmed and I feel better whether sending or receiving getting that transaction done and behind me, even if it cost a little bit more.

some exchanges are giving you option to use the transaction fee according to your own wishes but the transaction speed is depending on your transaction fee. while some exchanges have fixed amount for transaction fee and you have pay that fee in any case.
