Hello,

A question of a beginner, I read several articles that say better invest in bitcoin only (most of articles are from 2015-2016), but as bitcoin exceeds now $2500, I do not know if this rule still holds.

I want to invest a lot of money (let's say $3000), but I do not know if I have to invest only in bitcoin or other alcoins? What do you recommend?

Thank you

Anyone advises you to spread your portfolio for minimal loss and maximum profit, there are a lot of good coins now that's worth investing, there are a lot of early investors on Ethereum that are now very rich and there are a lot of coins that show going to eth and bitcoin's way.

Bitcoin is good for investing, especially long-term investments.
When you decide to invest long-term with Bitcoin, then you have a chance to earn greater profits.
Conversely, if you are investing in Bitcoin in the short term, the benefits will be small, because Bitcoin is often down and up.
The second option for investment is Ethereum, this coin also has a good advantage.
Despite being under Bitcoin, but this coin is very good.

My advice if you want to invest not only in Bitcoin alone. But there must also be other coin reserves that are good also if used as an investment asset. What I'm worried about if you just focus on one coin is that if the coin is dead you do not have any other coins you usually rely on. So I suggest you invest in some of the best coins.

that is why we should always have a back up plan (i.e investing on some alts or tokens ) because bitcoin cant always give us a stable profit. there is a saying that called "dont put your eggs in one basket " because if you loose you loose it all but if you win you also win big although the the percent of winning is only 30% out of 100 . So thats it , much better if you can just always spread your capital across to some other profitable coins in order to lessen the risk but at the same time increasing your chance of winning.

On the off chance that I were you I wont just concentration in bitcoin, I need to consider altcoins on the grounds that there are numerous coins that has potential not just btc, there are likewise  ltc,Eth neo  etc and so on. Its better to broaden your speculation since you are wanting to contribute $3k its a decent capital really to begin with.

Why?  at least top 20 coins are good, if bitcoin rise they will follow and rise more than bitcoin.

I think you should not invest in bitcoin alone, you can invest in ETH or in NEO, because ETH and NEO also have good potential for the future
Yeah I agree with your suggestion, you must need to diversify your investments for a bigger chance of getting a profit as we can't predict what coins will make a good rally.

But you agree with me, the strategy of buying only bitcoin is actually not so bad. It is much worse to buy a dead token for all money in the hope that it will grow in value. Bitcoin is a very good investment

I think, if we don't have any knowledge in the crypto, it is better to stay away from here because we can get bitcoin at the highest price which will make us sad. and we need to learn more in the crypto so we can buy the coins and I think it is better to invest only in bitcoin because, in the future, bitcoin value will give us a big profit. and if we can learn about altcoin, then maybe we can split our money too to invest in the altcoin so we can have a double investment which could help us to make a bigger profit in the future.

Investing in bitcoin isnt such a bad idea. Its the most stable coin how you see in the past weeks. And when you look back to the past weeks, i wish i should just invested in bitcoin. But know it happends and i leaned a lesson. In future i would let my biggest invest in bitcoin or any other of the top ten cryptocurrencies. I can recommend to everyone to let the biggest part of your invest in bitcoin or any other top10 altcoin.

I will advise you not to invest in bitcoin alone, try as much as possible to diversify your portfolio, diversification of portfolio will definitely increase the portfolio, do research on some ico to buy either before reaching an exchange or after such an ico had reached an exchange, buy some solid projects that have working products, your portfolio can't get bigger by just investing in bitcoin alone but with a solid projects Ico your portfolio can go thousands percent gain

At the end it is up to each user to decide whether they want to invest all their money in bitcoin or to try to diversify their investments, investing only in bitcoin is a good choice but it's one that is not going to give you as much profits as if you diversify your investments, the only problem with diversifying your investments is that is going to be more difficult to track how all your coins are doing.

Bitcoin considers the most stable crypto currency, therefore it is possible and necessary to invest in it.

Think about investing in another cryptocurrency. For example thekey or gladius. These are great options. I think we are now at a time when the price of altcoins is growing rapidly and at a high level.

This week we have 2 important dates for Bitcoin: 17 (tax declaration) and 18 (maturity). The most critical level is still 9200.

It's really a bad idea to invest only in bitcoin. If you want to make good money then you should buy other coins. For this you need to read a lot of information. If you are not satisfied with the purchase of the Ethereum.
