I really didn´t expect this coin to get back on its feet like this. I had more than four millions PND in my wallet, but some time ago I gave up hope and uninstalled the wallet. Bad move, obviously. Lesson learnt. I have some hopes to get it back, but I´m not fully sure how or whether it´s possible at all. Can you guys help me out? I don´t have my wallet.dat anymore, but I did keep two keys. I have the wallet key (which I entered in https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/ and it did find my wallet, with its content still intact). I also have what I think is the private key, a much longer string of characters. And that´s all. So far I´ve installed the last version of the Pandabank, synced the blockchain, and tried something I read about going into Help > Debug mode > Console tab, and then writing importprivkey herecomesthekey [labelforthekey]. I only get error messages, though. When I enter the wallet key, I get Invalid private key (Code -5). When I enter the long key which I think is the private key, I get importprivkey <pandacoinprivkey> [label] Adds a private key (as returned by dumpprivkey) to your wallet. (code -1). Looks like it doesn´t even recognice it as a valid key? Am I supposed to combine both keys in some way? Am I missing some other key or some step? Is there any way to rebuild the wallet.dat? Is it all gone for good? I´d like to offer half a million PND as a reward for the first one who can get me a working solution. Thanks! A couple of ideas, what format is the Private key in ? From the CryptoDepot JavaScript PandaCoin Paper Wallet Generator http://cryptodepot.org/paperwallet/pandacoin/ Wallet Details tab. Your PandaCoin Private Key is a unique secret number that only you know. It can be encoded in a number of different formats. Below we show the PandaCoin Address and Public Key that corresponds to your Private Key as well as your Private Key in the most popular encoding formats (WIF, WIFC, HEX, B64, MINI). So by entering your private key above you see the various formats below, for importing you want WIF (51 characters base58, starts with a '7' ). You can download a local copy of the paper wallet generator and run it offline, if you have security concerns using the online version. PandaCoin stores public keys in compressed format. The client now also supports import and export of private keys with importprivkey/dumpprivkey. The format of the exported private key is determined by whether the address was generated in an old or new wallet. see http://cryptodepot.org/paperwallet/pandacoin/ once you generate a private key, proceed to the Wallet Details tab to see better how to know better what your key is. The Pandacoin electrum wallet has an easy to use private key sweeping capability, but I have only used Private Key WIF (51 characters base58, starts with a '7' ). Finally I found this place again! I forgot I had asked and then I couldn´t find my way back. I´ve been tinkering with what you´ve given me, but I can´t recognize a key in there. The "long key" that I have, in an old file that I named "Pandacoin Wallet Keys" years ago, is a string of 239 characters. There´s several 7s and Us and I´ve been trying to piece a password out of them (for example, taking a 7 and the following 50 characters), but I´m not even sure where I´m supposed to plug them in. And there´s also + and / symbols in between that I don´t see in the codes generated by that page. Any ideas?

Thanks for adding Pandacoin to your supported coins, the Bitcointalk DEX and Github look very interesting.

Community,
It has come to our attention that someone has approached at least one PND holder using a burner telegram account impersonating someone on the PND team. This was a scammer requesting coins for testing purposes.
The PND team will never request coins from our community members. Additionally we will not direct message anyone who has not messaged us first. When attempting to direct message a team member, please ensure you are speaking to someone who has an admin designation in this forum (and watch out for attempts to put the word admin in their username). Also, review their profile closely once in the chat and ensure this telegram group is in your common groups.
Remember, always use caution when dealing with people on telegram and especially when they are discussing coin transfers.

Our Pandacoin network is running fine, you can check it here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/Aso network nodes can be found here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/#!networkWhat wallet / PandaBank version are you running? I guess I have to reinstall

How's the development going? The sync is awfully slow, it takes more than two days here and the client is constantly hanging during sync.
Are there any althernative clients planned?

We do have a PandaBank installer that includes a snapshot of our blockchain to make getting started faster and easier. PandaBank 3.0.6.4 installer with a snapshot of the blockchain. PandaBank 3.0.6.4 installer with a snapshot of the blockchain https://pandacoin.tech/windows-wallet/ (to use this new installer on an existing PandaBank installation 1st delete everything in your existing Pandacoin data folder except your wallet.dat) Always backup your PandaBank, keep a safe copy of your wallet.dat off of your PC on an external drive or storage medium. If you want our latest Snapshot you can find it here https://cryptodepot.org/pandacoin-snapshot/Some alternatives can be found here https://cryptodepot.org/downloads/We continue to develop maintenance releases as well as longer term development projects for and related to our Pandacoin project.

The funny thing is that I thought I used the snapshot version, the download was over 2GB but apparently it still started from scratch downloading the blocks (that or it's the validation of the blocks that takes so long). There are updates in other coins that don't validate the whole blocks, just validate the headers. It's less secure but the syncing goes down from days to a few hours.
