Bitcoin may not be number one for long

I'm even now waiting when this so called "flippening" will took place. Way too significantly expectation on Ethereum actually. Yeah, we cannot forecast the potential but I am not observing this going on at any time shortly. I know that ETH has been pumped truly hard but I never know the present price tag, but examining on the price tag of bitcoin now, it is genuinely heading sturdy soon after a value swing a number of weeks earlier. People ICO's and Crowdsale are genuinely placing income on Ethereum but I will not know if that is sustainable in the lengthy run that will make them the "king". But so far I haven't noticed it taking place.

I think bitcon will continue to become number one crypto  curency in the future. It has become more popular which resulted to the demand to increase. Many country as well as establishment also starting to adopt bitcoin which means the market for bitcoin will grow more in the coming years.

i think it is impossible for other coin that they will hinder bitcoin from being the number one, it is impossible because i believe that bitcoin is very popular among all thats why many people investing on it and gives time on it, thats why i dont think that other coin may be number one and bitcoin is not the number  one anymore, i conclude, bitcoin price may change it may decrease sometimes but still it will be the # 1 among all.

I believe too, other alt coins cannot be number one by surpassing bitcoin's supremacy. Bitcoin's reputation is way different than others. This will maintain bitcoin's leadership position for long time, maybe forever.

Don't really sure about this case. Maybe it'll happen but not in next 3 - 5 years cause I think Bitcoin price will not stop increasing for next few years when all Bitcoin amount in the whole world is not mined completely. But after all Bitcoin is mined maybe there are some other altcoin will replace the no.1 place of Bitcoin, in my opinion I think the best altcoin can replace the no.1 place of Bitcoin is Ethereum

I also feel that way. I think there are many other competitors who will beat bitcoin in a few more years. now bitcoin is still the best, but we will not know what will happen in the next 5 to 10 years.

I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

Many people are also saying that ETHEREUM will pass up the bitcoin, but I don't think the same. For me, bitcoin will still remain the top 1 in cryptocurrency ranking. Another thing, I really disagree that ETHEREUM will grow that much in 2018 (putting into perspective your idea that ethereum will pass up bitcoin in 2018). Bitcoin, as of now, is 14x the value of ethereum. Do you think, in the next 15 months, ethereum could beat that range? I don't think so.

This is a great indicator that one should buy Ethereum.  When people who are this bad at math do an analysis, you must take the opposite conclusion.

It will be forever, bitcoin has been the first cryptocurrency, and it would not be replaced, maybe there are better altcoins with more advanced technologies, but it doesnt make them better, because those people who have never invested in bitcoin, will invest in btc at first, not in other currencies, so it is more famous.

Ans still more so in the world of crypto. More specifically, Bitcoin without doubt has the first mover advantage, but its real advantage and edge over other coins is that it is capable of bringing in more profits over longer terms than the rest of the pack. This is the thing that keeps it at the top. If it loses this capability due to some "natural causes" (like those Hue Hefner died of yesterday) or because of some external influence or impact (say, China explicit ban), it will lose its top place since people will instantly switch to something more profitable

I do not believe bitcoin will be shifted from its current position as number one in the virtual currency. Bitcoin already has everything to not to get shifted from its position, the popularity, trust, and legality of some countries that are not easy to obtain by other coins

Some altcoin may be better but that doesn't make it better. See a problem with that statement? I guess you're saying bitcoin is a better investment despite the altcoin being better, technically.

Yes becuase all things have end so we need to prefer to tge next future of coin that is etherium , i can say if the supply of bitcoin is exhaustes i think the value of bitcoin become high but bitcoin will die maybe 20 years.

yes everything will ended so bitcoin and the other coins too. i don't think about how long bitcoin will stay but as long as i can use bitcoin, i think it will not be a problem for me about how long bitcoin will exist. but personally, i think bitcoin will be more than 5 years from now and the value of bitcoin will increase especially if the supply is slowly goes decrease while demand is increase.

I really think that someday, bitcoin will not be the leading cryptocurrency, however, this really depends on the people using it. If more and more people would trust and use bitcoin in the future, I think it's possible it would still be number one in the future. Bitcoin already established it's name and nothing ever surpassed the things that bitcoin had gone through in past until now.

Think of it this way, people that are not in the crypto world, don't know anything else BUT BTC, most of them have to clue what a cryptocurrency is, but they heard of bitcoin from TV, from someone talking... when more people will come to use cryptocurrency, people that are not developers nor fanatics about IT, they will turn to BTC, they will want to use it like they use there VISA cards , paypal...
So YES, I think bitcoin will still be the king of the hill for at least going into the 2020s
