This is something that has come up over and over, despite everything i will need to state that I think the appropriate response will need to be a no on this one.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I think that wouldn’t happen because although cryptocurrencies are emerging on this kind of generation, money is too wide range and is used way back then. I think it will be a good alternative but will never be used as substitute in the future.

There is a little chance or removing real money by any cryptocurrency. As real money is acceptable at every place and there is still a problem with networking issues and cybersecurity. So it will take some more time to remove real money from any cryptocurrency.

I beleive it is impossible. People need fiat cash to buy drugs and weapons, noone wants to leave traces in the network  Grin
Real money" is subject to change over time, or at least how people commonly define it. Some people argue that the only real money is gold and silver. I see a future in which cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies function side by side and become interchangeable. Possibly there will be a role for both in the future.
Yes, but you may also consider "real" as material. If real is physical/material then gold and silver are money but cryptocurrencies are not

if real money disappear in entire world, it is impossible to do, there are different kinds of money, and bitcoin is not to popular on using currency in any part of the country. Even the bitcoin cryptocurrency price was huge to avail, real money are the primary money on buying any kind of good that people needs.

What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
I think it will not happen that our money will disappears and change into cryptocurrency. It will take a long process before it can be happen because there are some people who have no knowledge in our new technology now they will use a real money instead a mobile phone which can use as our digital currency. But I think both of them has a future in our currency.

The possibility exists but I think that possibility is very smal dudel. you know of course every government will certainly defend their local currency to become their main currency. so they will not allow any foreign currency including cryptocurrency to takeover primary payment in their country?

maybe yes but it dont happen in the short time, i think in the next 5 years or more because right now half of people dont know about cryptocurrencies they all just know about USD and money paper, and maybe in the next 3 years we can invite our friend and family to learn about it for the good future in the currency

Crypto currency will not and will never replace real money. Why? Because not every single person in this world are literate on high technological things and ideas and not every person in this world can afford to buy a computer or a smart phone and pay for internet bills. Do you think that the homeless people benefit if real money will never exist anymore? Yes they can earn a small amount of cash from begging or doing some tasks or what ever they do. If you get what I mean.  Grin Grin Grin
Yeap i agree with you and would like to add. That all cryptocurrencies at the moment is like forex trading obligations and they dont have any possobility to replace real money. But can they replace companies that have obligations? I think yes.

We really can never tell the future because our technology is very advance and we'll never know what it can unfold in the future. Real money is what we are using right now but just like creditcards we will never know bitcoins could be like that in the future and no need for us to bring cash or cheque anymore though it would take long time to implement but somehow that is something we'll be looking forward to.

That is right. Almost impossible to forecast that. Despite it seems possible, it will take very long years in my opinion. We may not see that in our life time.
All things can change by some reason.
We are changing to the world with digital technology.
Of couse, a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is neccessary for this world while we are wanting to have a freedom currency.
I agree with you there is a possibility where real money will disappear but is that a bad thing because i think it is better for all of us if we just believe in bitcoin and accept that it will be in our future i believe that is the best thing to do for us right now.

It should never be allowed to happen. It's extremely dangerous. Let's not even consider this as an option
It's not entirely possible as bitcoin's growth will reach a peak point and won't increase in value after some time at the peak level. Cash has a large market cap it's impossible for it to end, it will be there for at least another century or till it can be used digitally almost everywhere.

Many are looking like that and many are asked what is money and what represent money. Is it another mean of paying or something valued that can be latter changed to money or something else.

However many dont consider crypto as money more like investment and like that many dont think that cryptos are good option for replacing money, maybe they are right and again they maybe be wrong.

Even until we died, I am sure the current FIAT system still alive. The government will still the manager and controller of the world. And I also like this future. I need to live in a world have rule, policies, manager ... do not have them will make the world become terrible.

Cryptocurrencies is "money".

- If you're talking about FIAT, yes I think cryptocurrencies will replace FIAT
- If you're talking about state money (money governed by states). No it won't replace it but state money might become developed en blockchain (which make it become a cryptocurrencies Smiley)

The chance is very, very small. In each country there should be a state currency. I can not even imagine what can take away the national currency.
A big economic crisis, there are countries that no longer print their own currency  and most of the time those economies use the US dollar as a replacement which is not that good of an idea because once the dollar begins to fail then their economies are going to fail as well, but they do not have too much of a choice since their governments have showed they cannot be trusted with the responsibility to print their own currency.

Well even with this example i don't think any serious country will consider bitcoin a substitute for its national currency no matter how bad their situation is. There are times when every economy experiences some bad drops and foreign currencies seem to be rising against its national currency but wth the right controls they are able to stabilize it and the same cannot be said of he volatile bitcoin.
Bitcoin does not need to replace a national currency in every single case, as long as people begin to use it instead of it then bitcoin is already performing that function, and there are countries where this is already happening like in Venezuela, besides bitcoin is great as a store of value in countries like that where your currency is always losing value.

For me, the actual money may "evolve". If ever the actual "money" we have is "extinct", our Economy will be harder to rise. In my own opinion, It eases our daily transactions but who knows. Maybe in the future, we will have to use a type of machine that transacts BTC just like a wallet that can be put in your pocket.

for me it could happen...
but not in our lifetime though...
in order for cryptocurrency to make money disappear then all the people worldwide must be using.
but we cant deny the fact that there is still a lot of factors for this not to happen.
examples are: not all people in the world has access to internet, not all people are using gadgets etc.
therefore cryptocurrency may become very popular but not to the point that it will totally replace money.

I don't think so. Cryptocurrencies can't work without electricity and internet. This is not available everywhere.
