I don't think so. It's value might decrease depending on the issues that it faces but it's very ridiculous to think that it'll lose it's value except if it is banned on your own country.
In my opinion, there is no way that we can experience this thing to happen that the value of bitcoin is decreasing. We can observe this thing so many times in the coming days that the market price of bitcoin is decreasing but this doesn’t mean actually that it will result in loss pf value of bitcoin. Bitcoin is and will remain the most valuable coin of all the times.

Certain it really is possible, just like it truly is possible that the net would go down due to a enormous asteroid hitting the Earth and millions of individuals dying, and nations destroyed. In that feeling, of course.

Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

Of course it is as bitcoin relies on heavy factors in the market and in the world to keep it afloat. One ecample is what happened in achina where we can see a significant decrease in its price which adds to its unpredictability and volatility. This isnt to say that bitcoin din not also go up.
There is no chance at all for the bitcoins to lose their value in the upcoming years. This is because it is one of the decentralized cryptocurrency and it could not be banned by a single government or country. There is no such way to get rid of it at all because of its excessive use and increasing market values on the daily indexes.

I can say is No, it's impossible. And for 5-6 years? That's very short to assume that bitcoin will lose it's value. Think about it from zero value to $2k+ now and is now possible to get up to $3k or even more. That's why I will not believe that bitcoin will lose it's current value this is now being recognize by many people and is now trying to make a lot of improvements
If we talk about the value of bitcoin, then I am very much sure that bitcoin will gain more value in the coming days than losing its value. There is no way that we can claim this thing that bitcoin is or will lose its value. The way bitcoin is making such a good reputation in the international market, we can hope a very bright future of the bitcoin. Bitcoin will keep on gaining more fame in the future.

I support you stance that we can and may observe temporary decrease in the value of bitcoin but on the permanent basis, this cannot happen because there is no other currency that can beat bitcoin. All the altcoins are totally dependent on bitcoin for their values, even the most famous altcoins such as eth and eaves are dependent totally on bitcoin for increase and decrease in their prices.

I believe bitcoin could drop its worth to yet another "much better notion" coin.  The initial to begin does not often finish initial... AOLI also think the only thing that can stop it is an EMP attack.  Of course then we have even bigger difficulties.

ETH is dependent on bitcoin? I dont think so for which this thing is not actually happening at all.It may somehow do give some effects but not totally because ETH can really stand on his own now unlike when it was just starting but on the thing mention that most altcoins do really depend on bitcoin value which prices are correlated to each other.Bitcoin would really still lose its value if users or community would decide to leave it.

It is not very likely we are going to see those prices ever again, but I think a possibility for that to happen is that every country of the world made bitcoin illegal, many people will stop accepting and trading in bitcoin because of the fear of going to jail.

Yes it is possible. Bitcoin's value is determined the same as any other commodity, rule of supply and demand. So in essence, it's possible to go down. Now the question is, is it probable to happen? With the current trend most probably not. Bitcoin has just started it's climb to its potential and I wouldn't be surprised if it passes $6000. But I do believe it will settle at some point.

Please take a look at the market trend of the past few years. The rate of the bitcoins went down half 1000 in like a day .It is one of the main thing that one should know when you get involved with btc it is that it is possible in the btc world and the price can even fall down to less than 200 USD in a few days the price keep changing from time to time i even remember that some time ago few scams came up and all the investors were in the fear of loosing their earned bitcoins while trying to exchange them and they started selling it in large scale. The price of the btc will go down a little and will recover and it is something which is very normal in every market to have a fall and rise i feel the price will even go higher even if it went a low by small percent its better to buy and stock them when the price goes down as we cannot predict when the price will rise so high.

Yes it is possible for bitcoin to actually go on a downfall, it is also possible for it to lose its value once people decided to not actually use it. Anything that people won't put value in is worth nothing. But I doubt that would happen to bitcoin, there is always a possibility but I think thats gonna be hard if we are talking about bitcoin.

I agree with you, looking at the potential of bitcoin at the moment, I think it will not happen. I've heard in 2013 the price of bitcoin is very down and makes everyone anxious. but that does not mean that it results in a loss of value in bitcoin.

If users will stop patronizing bitcoins and investors will pull out their shares. These are just some major factors for the downfall of bitcoin. Also included is the lack of intest on the part of users and ad people. I think this will not be in the loop for the next 20 years. Bitcoin is just starting to gain popularity and tech people have just started mining for bitcoin. That is why bitcoin nowadays is swinging its prices yet the trend is still high.

It is indeed possible but not likely to happen. The reason why btc has its value is because people perceive it has, thus they trust in the system. If this trust were to disappear though (by hacking or deliberately making the market go down which is not realistic), bitcoin will lose value and most likely die.

I think so. Because Bitcoin's value depends of the number of users. That's why when you remember the FUD news China announced. You saw how Bitcoin declined in its price. So if no one buy Bitcoin and many sell their Bitcoin, then Bitcoin's price will diminish.

I don't think that it is possible because here the main support for the bitcoin market is by the better economical developed countries like America and Japan , so we can understand well that it anything will happen wrong from any another country then still bitcoin will remain stable ( with small time drop in price ) .
Here another thing is also we should consider that is the need , Because of the powerful need in our life of the bitcoin we can use it for the every type of payment system , so we can't extract it from our daily use of life .
So here all the probability of the bitcoin to get down to very low level is impossible , so leave all negative wills and getinto it to work perfectly .

Yes it is possible for bitcoin to lose it’s value because there is up and down in everything and it is so fast in the currency market. So its not strange for bitcoin one day its value goes down and there will be another currency to take over this. But for now it is famous in people and having a high value.

yes the possibility of bitcoin losing value can happen, but you just need to wait for the price will not be forever under and not always expensive there will be price fluctuations that can return expensive, if you sell a loss, but if you make it like your investment certainly no loss. but bitcoin is getting more and more expensive because bitcoin is a digital currency in the future.

Anything is possible but the chances of that happening is very less. I don't think Bitcoin will ever loose all its value. Bitcoin is gaining popularity everyday and many people have started to look at it as one of the world's fastest growing investments. It exhibits tremendous growth rates and alot of people have already invested in it. I think that its value will only grow in future.
