It's not the duration but the tps scalability.  Lightning Network (LN) has theoretically unlimited tps.

While ATBcoin claims to have integrated LN into the wallet, I see no evidence that it is there or how to use it -- it's in the latest wallet release v1.1.0.  Using LN requires deposits from both sides of an offchain transaction to be first held in trust in the channel, so its centralization all over again.
