Gliss,

Please consider delisting BTER exchange from Coinmarketcap.
Since 20-01-2016 they canot find my 1850 XMR (5 BTC). They answer "we are working on that", but Cryptsy did the same for few my tickets more than 1 year old, and still does.
Another reason is that they recently steal 1% of cryptos stored on BTER (all customers lost 1% of their depos).

Since 2 years https://cryptox.pl low fees, no KYC.

congrats on adding a citation to the site showing the premined coins included in the market cap.
just noticed now..

i just hope it will be a feature used right away for new coins later though..
AUR reaped HUGE rewards from getting listed on your site top 10 with a fake market cap helping to propel its value to $15 a coin.
so it would have been good to have notice of this when it was added not ages after it's been dumped on and essentially forgotten.

traders need honest and accurate info to base trades on and isn't that the whole point of your site after all ?

a guy was selling information about AUR BEFORE it went on YOUR site and exchanges.
and that leads me to wonder where did this guy get his ohh so certain advance info ? lol
fishy to say the least.. if he was guessing then we can only conclude he noticed a PATTERN..
and a pattern would exist why ? hmm ?

here is the topic where he was selling a TIP on AUR that hinged entirely on this guy knowing you were going to do what you did lol

Selling an investment tip - escrow possible. By BohemianStalker on February 22, 2014, 03:16:29 PM

and here is the PM i got here at the forum (for free) from that TIP topic where he told me what was going on..

Here we go: ,-)

Project AURORA http://www.auroracoin.org/

A new cryptocurrency - AURORACOIn is soon to be added in coinmarketcap. You can check that in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.0

One AUR costs 0.08BTC - that is ATM.
https://www.cryptorush.in/index.php?p=trading&m=AUR&b=BTC
or
https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_aur

The price on coinmarket cap equals to
total coins mined x price of one coin. 60 000 mined auras thus represents 450BTC. However
coinmarket works with whole value that is 10560000coins. If this is true - and it has
always been so in coinmarketcap - the price of auroracoin will be 84480BTC. Catapulting AUR into
top 10 coins. Precisely top 7th coin. People will panick what to do, and somehow I dont
think they will sell their coins when they see theit coin is now top 7th coin.

More facts:
Well Aurora coin is 50%  premined to distribute between Icelandic people.
And the incentive to get a coin surely does rise or fall on a fact how much aur is worth.
With the current price it would mean every Icelander could get 158,4USD for free(every should get 33AUR). Seeing that
I cannot imagine them not taking the offer - which in turn will mean price will go even higher,
because people will have incentive to trade it for goods.
also check the difficulty: http://auroraexplorer.atorox.net/chain/AuroraCoin?count=2016&hi=2930
some people smell the currency will go up, but they dont know why. They just see it getting
more expensive so they mine more...

Risks:

Coinmarketcap will add only mined part to the equation - which havent ever happened due to my knowledge - feel free to correct me.
Iceland will ban AURORA - however Icelanders stood up twice inrecent years against goverment and politicians - see Icelandidc revolution for more info. Even in this case AUR could still become succes.

and honestly i just didn't feel comfortable investing in a coin with a 50% premine..
would others looking at the new coin that showed up and overtook 90% of other coins felt the same way had they known all the info from the beginning ?
most people probably went to your site and seen it rocket to the top 5 and thought OMG i gotta get into this coin.
Bad idea it was a 50% premined scammy gimmick clone coin that went bad lol

i could have made money but i couldn't get THAT scammy lol
and honestly i really wasn't too tempted either.. i will never support 50%+ premined scam coins.

lol unreal that coin went to $14.50 on Cryptsy one day i checked after having it listed on Coinmarketcap then the exchange hahhaha
i feel sorry for people who seen the market cap listing and was buying them at $15 a coin each, because what are they worth now ?
i know i know.. who cares right ? ..screw em ...Lambo's blah blah

Offtopic:
We should be LOOKING for opportunities to have some class and integrity in this scene and not have to be nagged for months to have some..
Do i really need to tell people NOT to be a scumbag ?
It would appear so, yes Sad
I expect better from people i guess i shouldn't..

Recall when i suggested many pages back that you put an Asterisk next to IPO coins ?
And how you Gliss and few of your puppets dived on me screaming Troll ?
Then remember how i thanked you for NOT APOLOGIZING for that and actually doing what i suggested
later after i wandered off ?

YES i alone get credit for that.. i fought for it.

Why doesn't ETH have the "** Significantly Premined" associated with it due to this significant premine?

The total amount of coins is 72 million when it should be around 60 million to date.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1147063.msg12088443#msg12088443

Edit:
60 mil premine
12 mil hidden premine

Considering that several months have passed since this was first asked, I think it would be fair to say that the answer is because nobody gives a shit (first and foremost, users themselves). We live in a slimeball world where nobody cares about how much something is corrupted, and there's no better example of doing that than the ETH complete destruction of the widely distributed decentralized ethos.

Hey guys. I don't see the "Premine" tag on Decred. According to Decred's announcement there's a premine of 8% (of which they later gave away 4% via airdrop). Reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1290358.0 (under iii. Initial Funding and Airdrop). Hopefully this can be updated.

cheers!

Using the site every day as it is good.
I am missing one setting on the page though (surprised that noone else (AFAIK) has brought it up?):
Why don't you guys freeze that header row (see image, where it's indicated with red arrows), so I don't need constantly to scroll up in order to change from USD to BTC and etc..?
An added benefit is that your ads will stay visible all the time  Wink

Hello and good day CoinMarketCap,

Can you please update the block explorer information for EvergreenCoin you have listed? I had to switch VPS a while back for reasons out of my control and you are pointing to a block explorer that is not functional and I no longer have access to that VPS so I can't fix it. Could you please point to http://transactions.evergreencoin.org/ and not point directly to an IP address? This way if in the future if I need to change the VPS and/or IP of the block explorer again for any reason, I will not need to bother you as I will simply modify the DNS entry to have it point to the proper IP.

I do apologize for the inconvenience this change of IP address for the block explorer has caused. Again, it was necessary for reasons out of my control.

Thank you in advance!

funny isn't it, one of the biggest coins to come out, and it's a massive, massive pre-mine with only a tiny portion going to miners
